Web site says 8.0.1 available, but my paycheck update v8.0.0 says that Firefox is updated
I see on the web site of Mozilla Firefox 8.0.1 is available on the output channel, however, when I check with v8.0.0 updates that Firefox says it is up-to-date. I tried with my user and administrator accounts.
I also tried the 'solution' described in the MozillaZine Knowledge Base (delete files in the folder % LOCALAPPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates). This has worked in the past, but does not work this time.
The automatic update has been unreliable for centuries. That's under investigation? Y at - it once and for all solution?
As a Windows user,.
- you need not to update, unless you have if crash problems caused by an older version of Roboform (plenty of answers to questions on this issue in this forum resolved).
- Firefox 8.0.1 is no problem of security; only, it addresses issues of crash in 2 cases.
- Shown above: only Mac users get the update of idle/8.0 to 8.0.1 patch manual.
- This means that only Mac users will have updated with the help > about Firefox > check updates
- For now, the only way for users other than Mac update, is to download the full installer and install on top of Firefox 8.0.
- Please review the information I posted.

I want to install Firefox on my Tablet Asus of Infinity transformer and market Play/Android Google says that Firefox is not compatible with my device (even if I have it running well on my phone).
Your Web site lists compatibility with this camera twice, once as got TF700T and then as Infinity Pad transformer.
The transformer is up-to-date with all the software, and I am running the latest version of the Google game.
If you are having problems with the Google game to download Firefox for Android tries to download these versions: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/#firefox .
Don't forget you must enable this settings: allows you to install app from other sources than the Google game

I have the latest version of Firefox are installed (which has been updated), but the site says that it is the older. Is there a solution for this problem?
You have a corrupted user agent which identifies you like Firefox/3.0.11

Some sites say that I have to update my browser even though I already have.
Hey,.
I downloaded the latest version of Firefox like 5 times, but some sites like Youtube, Myspace, and Twitter keep telling me that I need to improve Firefox because my version is no longer supported.
I also have the latest Flash Player and Java versions.
I tried everything, uninstall these three and their installation again. And if I use Google Chrome or even an older version of Internet Explorer, everything looks good. This happens only on Firefox. What is going on?I ask this because I like to use Firefox and I don't want to migrate to Chrome.
Thank you
Andrea.
Try to reset the user agent (identifies the version of the browser), yours is who identified himself as Firefox 2.0.0.17
For more information on how to do that see sites Internet says that Firefox is obsolete or incompatible, even if it's the latest version. It gives details of a series of preferences that will have to be reset.

I 'reset' Firefox at the suggestion of Mozilla as my browser worked slowly. What a mistake! As soon as I did, all sites have become unreliable. When I click on the allow an exception, the site then comes to the top, but the formatting is all wrong. I used Firefox for years, but will not be longer if I can't solve this problem. Other browsers work so I will go to one of them. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox and that has not worked. My date and time settings are correct.
Uninstalled Browsersafeguard and it seems to work! VERY happy!

I thought WWDC 2016 was just June 13 at 10 am PDT. Some sites say that the event is from 13 to 17 June. What is the date on which they will announce if there are new products coming out. What is 13?
WWDC is the 13th week, not a single day. However, at 10:00 13 will be the speech. It's what you want to watch. You can download the application to your computer via: Developer Apple WWDC Watch - WWDC -. You can download the app for iPhone, iPad, or contact via the iTunes Store.

I read that Chrome fell npapi support - in the article, he says that firefox has been in December. Is this true? I can't find a source.
Google announcement is here: Blog chrome: say goodbye to our old friend NPAPI
I'm not aware of any time line of em "NPAPI" plugins in Firefox for desktop systems. However, the "click-to-play" function, which has been amended in several press releases, could get some additional revisions...

Everytime I open my MacBook Air with OSLion a sign comes up saying that Firefox is downloaded from the internet. How can I get rid of this sign.
Make sure that Firefox is installed correctly.
Open the Firefox disk image (DMG) file and drag the Firefox program in the folder of the application on your hard drive.
You should not double-click the Firefox application to run from the disk image and drag it out of the DMG file instead. -
Some Web sites do not show text correctly but only in Firefox
Firefox does not display text on some web sites, all I get are |, <>of arrows, points etc and yet I can see very well in Chrome or IE pages. IV removed my FF, disabled theme Add ons and check if everything is updated and still nothing.
Its really annoying, the main site, I have a problem with is http://www.three.co.uk but I just discovered this site well http://css-plus.com/examples/plugins/PlusSlider/ there has been others in the past, but I just ignored it for a while but now its annoying me! 99.99% of the sites are absolutely perfect and if I disabled style sheets I see the text very well, but of course, it's all left aligned etc.
Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.
Try the pref gfx.content.azure.enabled set to false or if this does not help disable Direct2D by setting the pref gfx.direct2d.disabled true on the subject: config page and leave hardware acceleration enabled otherwise.
Alternatively, you can try to uninstall the update of Windows KB2670838 if you have this update.

Error message cannot open Web sites, "this webpage is not available".
Original title: Help, please
If I go to my home page "Binoculars" I can type something in which displays all available pages. But as soon as I try to click on one of them it's the box 'analyze the problem' or ' this web page is not available. And the same thing happens if I try to load a page directly from the address bar, very frustrating. If I look to the top of facebook, google search, I can sometimes access it and even with You Tube, but nothing else.

Web site opens in a new window but has no scroll bar
Hello
I am a new user, so I'm not yet fully aware of the use of Firefox.I use http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/ site several times a day. The site is in general more often perfectly OK, but one of the links I use all the time doesn't behave in a usable way. The link on the home page is:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business/market_data/ticker/markets/default.stm, which opens in a new window without scroll bars. Can I relative to the size of the window, but not enough to display the entire contents.
If I use the address of the link in a new tab, everything works fine and the scroll bars are present.
I'm migrating from the Opera browser and opera, when I use the embedded link, it opens a new window, but it has the current scroll bars.
Is this a Firefox problem, or maybe the site is at the origin of this problem - I could not guess who.
BTW, the website of the BBC is based, and for users not UK, it can be used completely different pages.
I looked through a bunch of FF options, but so far have not found anything that could be applied to the problem.
IMO, this website is too small size of popup windows setting, don't leave enough room for the content of the page when the viewer zoom in the page.
You can disable this feature this preference by typing about: config.
DOM.disable_window_move_resize
Double-click this preference to activate to true.http://KB.mozillazine.org/about:config
Change dom.disable_window_open_feature.scrollbars true will replace Web site to hide scroll bars.

My school's Web sites will not load on wifi but most except this one works with ethernet connection
I have a macbook in 2007 and went to school. Last week, we got our connections and what not and can surf the internet completely fine with the exception of our email, our course Web site and portal to all these things. These websites won't even load, so I can never put in my credentials. I then plugged in ethernet and everything worked except for the portal site. The error message that I always get "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server." I spoke with some computer scientists and that they had no idea of what could be done.
A treat at random, it's that he actually responsible yesterday at a random time but the minute it X'ed out of it (not even exit the application) it didn't work anymore. The site is https://socrates.med.psu.edu
Any ideas on what I can do in firefox or here the beats hurt?
Thank you
Try disabling IPv6 in Firefox.
You can also try to reset (power off / on) of the router.
