  The message of PXE boot that you receive when you start your computer has nothing to do with your CD/DVD-Rom drive. Your computer uses a PXE boot method to attempt to load Windows from a location on your network. Since you do not have this configuration, it is safe to ignore it. If it slows down the startup time of your system, contact your manufacturer and ask them for instructions on how to "disable PXE Network Boot of the BIOS.

  I bought a Satellite A200-175 yesterday and I am trying to use the webcam, but it does not work. I searched the forum for possible solutions, but so far I have not found anything that solves my situation.
  The laptop came with a preinstalled Vista OS, but the software of the webcam was not preinstalled. So I downloaded the latest Toshiba download page doftware and installed.
  Subsequently, it still does not work and so I changed drivers for generic Microsoft (based on the advice of the forum).

  I tried to reinstall drivers (several times), but that did not help. Device Manager keeps giving me the error code 10 (device cannot be started).

  I'm a bit of idea, so any help would be appreciated!

  It's very strange because I installed the recovery image on notebooks P200 and U300 (both with the webcam) and I didn't notice any problem. After the first boot the cam will be recognized as new hardware and installed correctly.

  Have you installed some Messenger like Yahoo or MSN and try to use it with one of them?

  I have a TE Packard Bell's Easynote running on Windows 8. It has built in webcam (a generic unit named WeCam HD). But right out of the box, whenever I run an application that needs to use the webcam, it says "no device detected Webcam. If you are using a built-in camera please turn on"or other similar term. There is absolutely nothing in the user guide/documentation to explain how to do this.

  I went a little further and checked the Device Manager and there are the most recent drivers for this device all present and correct. And in some ways to make worse it, most of the time it doesn't work and it just worked last week. My son took a load of pictures of himself using the webcam internal to give me a new nice screen saver (red led light has been released top the camera was on and work) so I know that he has the opportunity to work. It's not fair. We tried to retrace his steps I guess all that I need is a key command to move the camera power switch (there is no way to access the device that I can find in windows 8).   I think that I finally discovered it. Well, it seems to be correct.

  Maybe some background process cannot be closed and therefore the shutdown process does not

  1. click on Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click on command promptand select run as administrator.

  2. click on continue or provide credentials admin if prompted.

  3. in the command prompt window type the following, sfc/scannow (yes he's a space after sfc), and then press ENTER. This analysis may take some time to complete.

  Not a good sign that it does not work on another computer. Go to control panel > devices and printers. If the keyboard doesn't appear as an installed device, think of it as dead and buried.

  Windows identifies devices of small IC boards inside the devices and guess they are ok. Windows cannot do is determine if the keyboard membrane makes contact with the small IC Board...

  My flash drive has stopped working.  I can download the latest version 10.2.152.32 and it says that it has installed successfully.  When I try to view a web page, it says no more I need the latest version and brings back me to the last updated successfully, but still does not work or it was just an empty box with a red x in the upper left.

  I can not find it flash drive by searching for it on my computer.  I uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it still does not work.

  When you start your laptop Camera Assistant software stop and try to configure the webcam in MSN. I deleted the Camera Assistant software from the boot list and I don't use any but I can use it with Skype whenever I want.

  It also works with MSN. Just start the Audio and video installation and in step 3, select Chicony USB 2.0 Camera Cam that you want to use. It works with my MSN.
