weird dreamweaver keyboard mapping problem

weird problem of dreamweaver keyboard mapping:

I hope this solution helps someone out. If you have q, ask and I'll try to help.

I had a weird problem in dreamweaver... Whenever I was in code view and typed 'Shift + i' to a capital "I", it would be rather to paste from the Clipboard.

I finally understood what was going on. I compared the menu.xml in my app support folder in the user's library to the original menu.xml file which was in the application. I went through until I stumbled upon the diff:

menu.XML in my library/application support folder:
<! - Navigation Windows shortcuts - >
"< shortcut key =" Cmd + Ins "name = 'copy2" platform = "" command = "if (dw.canClipCopy ()) {dw.clipCopy ()}" domRequired = "FAKE' id = 'DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_Copy2' / >"
"< shortcut key =" Shift + Ins "name ="Paste2"platform =" "command =" if (dw.canClipPaste ()) {dw.clipPaste ()} "domRequired =" FAKE' id = 'DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_Paste2' / > "
"< shortcut key = 'Shift + delete' name = 'Cut2' platform =" "command =" if (dw.canClipCut ()) {dw.clipCut ()} "domRequired =" FAKE' id = 'DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_Cut2' / > "

Orig menu.xml file:

<! - Navigation Windows shortcuts - >
"< shortcut key =" Cmd + Ins "name = 'copy2" platform = "" command = "if (dw.canClipCopy ()) {dw.clipCopy ()}" domRequired = "FAKE' id = 'DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_Copy2' / >"
"< shortcut key =" Shift + Ins "name ="Paste2"platform =" "command =" if (dw.canClipPaste ()) {dw.clipPaste ()} "domRequired =" FAKE' id = 'DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_Paste2' / > "
"< shortcut key = 'Shift + delete' name = 'Cut2' platform =" "command =" if (dw.canClipCut ()) {dw.clipCut ()} "domRequired =" FAKE' id = 'DWShortcuts_HTMLSource_Cut2' / > "

There is a diff in the 'platform =' tags. The orig said [platform = "win"], my config said [platform = ""] (Nothing in between the "of"). So, I reset the tag platform to be [platform = "win"] in my settings and then revived dreamweaver. It corrects the problem.

Don't know how this happened, but it works now.

@abirhasan, how is this going "look at what's new" to help him? What I see out there, there is not a known issue?

@javier, I guess you know that on an asus these keymappings means that the keypad is enabled via numlock?

It is most likely going to be enabled/disabled via holding the fn key and another key...

    Basically this problem:

The question now is if your asus laptop has a num lock key to change this? (It is more likely, the problem is that it is)

  • Aspire mapping problem keyboard V5-572P-6646 - the high number Pad bad keys

Sent my V5 in service after the failure of the screen.  At upg'ed WIN8 to WIN10 before breaking the screen.  Sent in for repair.  They replaced the screen very well, but erased from my hard drive and installed WIN10. (why would they wipe my HD if they are just going to leave the same OS on it?)

Now I'm having a problem with the keyboard mapping for the top row (INS, DEL, HOME, PG UP, PG DN) are all wrong.  The feature seems to have moved 1 key to the left where he should be.

Figuratively, it must be a driver issue, but I can't seem to find the drivers of keyboard online for the V5.

    Any help would be appreciated!

See if it will take care of it.

  • The keyboard mapping during the remote to the W2K8 Server Desktop session is messed up.

    Hello

We have an interesting problem. We are access to a Windows Server 2008 R2 host from our Windows XP latops. We have users who access the site from Arizona, Colorado and China. Sometimes, after a user of China accessing the computer, the keyboard mapping is messed up. We push a character as an 'a' or some other person and it will open a file instead! We checked to make sure that the keyboard on the host computer mapping is changed Chinese back in American English. There seems to be a bug here, but we are not quite sure what it is! If anyone else has experienced this?

    Thank you

  • The evil in the guest OS keyboard mapping

    Hi all

    I ", running fusion 4.1.1 on Lion.

I built a virtual machine with Lion too as a guest operating system.

I realized that my keybord in my virtual machine is not well mapped.

In fact, I have a couple of keys which, if you press on, do not correspond to the correct character.

The keyboard, which is a wireless apple with Italian layout keyboard, works very well in the host environment.

How can I solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Concerning

After a few quick tests, here are two methods that certainly seem to work:

1 copy (the vertical bar, etc etc) and paste directly between the host and guest: for example, for |, an initial cmd-C in the host and then, if necessary, a cmd-V in the comments and you're done.

    2. connect to the guest from the host with screen sharing (after you have enabled in the comments, of course): in this case, the keyboard mapping is that right from the beginning (he uses the host); and no doubt, you also need network bridged in the comments: no solution ideal, but might be better than the first, if you don't mind the drop in performance possible.

    Other possible solutions? Who knows...

If your BIOS does not keep its settings, then it is time for a new CMOS battery.

  • Dreamweaver detects syntax problem in silence

I have a .cfm file which I have been now for several years. Recently by changing the file in DW6, DW began to recognize that the file is a file of Cold Fusion.  Common, both General and specific CF just keyboard shortcuts do not work.  Under "Insert..." menu items ColdFusion objects' are all disabled.

After 90 minutes to remove a few lines of code, save and close, and then reopen the file, I have followed the problem until the presence of 1 line of code ColdFusion.

I got to see at the bottom of the edit window (in the part of the bar that shows CF code nesting of State) that < cfinvoke > was there where there is nothing in the file I had trouble with.  It turns out that the line of 'bad' code was < cfinclude > and the file he referenced had a < cfinvoke > without a closing < / cfinvoke >

The reason for this long post under Dreamweaver, is that DW was clearly a problem of syntax, but rather to identify the problem, it just stopped working normally and acted in a really weird way.

I don't have to "Allow the associated files" active.  For DW are not outside wanter to other files and gag on a syntax error, and then not to postpone the problem, was totally unexpected.

In my view, the main "bug" by failing to report this error of syntax.  Secondarily, syntax check related files should probably be controlled by the option preference "associated files".

    It's DW CS6, 12.1 v, build 5949.

Have you reported this to Adobe?

  • HP keyboard mapping inorrect freshly installed Windows 7 / XP on HP Pavilion 500-202eo

    Hello

After you have installed Windows 7 Ultimate on HP Pavilion 500 - 202eo, I noticed that the HP keyboard connected is incorrectly mapped. I had exact same questions with the mapping of the keyboard with new operating system installs on oher systems as well, but couldn't really find a solution for this. In fact, certain symbols appear to move; While normally, where usually I had to press Alt Gr + 2 I got the sign @, I must now press shift. The? + button now product - character, while pressing on - product button /, <>product button------etc. I tried to put the keyboard in 'Norwegian', which is the layout of my keyboard, but nothing helped. It seems that I must be missing some type of a pilot or a patch, which is present on each preinstalled system that I own, but somehow is missing on installed fresh, even if there are no conflicts in Device Manager. I have the same problem on the XP installation. Any suggestions?

Hello again once, I managed to solve this problem by specifying the correct keyboard language in Control Panel. I didn't need drivers after all.

  • Satellite A40: keyboard mapping with us Euro WinXP Pro

I thought it was a simple problem to solve, but unfortunately it has escaped me. I had to reload a Satellite A40 with the American version of WinXP Pro Corp. Laptop was purchased in Germany. The keyboard is physically different than typical laptops, used here (pressing the button gives you a Z, for example). Is it possible to map the keyboard so that the user can get an idea of what is typed? I crossed the region in question, and I had no chance (unless it's just me?!). Any guys help? Thanks a lot :)

    Hello

As you said in your advertisement you can change the keyboard language settings in the Control Panel regional and language settings language Details tab

In the installed services, you can add the language of the US or UK keyboard.
Please note: you can set several languages. To switch between the settings please use the keys ALT + SHIFT.

  • BlackBerry 8700 g smartphone keyboard strange problem: typed letters do not appear on the screen

I support two users of 8700g.  Too, I am a user of 8700g and have not experienced this problem: randomly and intermittently, the report to the users when they type messages on the keyboard, strange combinations of letters appear instead.  There is no apparent trend to which the keys are depressed, what order they are in a hurry, or what appears on the screen. This, too, is random.  This aggravating problem appears and disappears at will, if the battery is removed or not.  Two units, one is new from January 2008, while the other has had some exposure to water and has been deleted twice, once for the same weird keyboard problem.  The selected language is English and the automatic text is disabled on both units. The other units are working according to specification.  We are on a BES using MS Exchange. I read on other boards sometimes there are identifiable patterns in what is indexed and what appears, but I was not able to establish such motives with these users.  Can anyone offer a diagnosis and a permanent solution?  Thank you.

Thanks, bifocals, for your reply!  Memory is a problem, but especially a recognizable model has emerged so that I can identify and solve the problem: when the user has typed 'a', they got 'on' and when they typed 'no', they got "pt no pot"-which I have learned are caused by the input accidentally language be changed to Català.  I learned through this and other instances of BB, the input language can be easily changed when the keys ALT and CAP are pressed at the same time, the old way of locking of the keyboard on the BB 7250.

    Eureka!

    Thanks again,

  • Connection with Dreamweaver 2014 SFTP problem

I have a very weird SFTP connection problem with Dreamweaver CC (2014). I'm on a Mac 10.9.4 and have no problem connecting to my server via SFTP with Dreamweaver CS 6. However, using the same exact settings on CC (2014), I get the following error: "an FTP error occurred - cannot connect to the host." Your login or password is incorrect. Please check your login information.

I'm really at a loss here. Connection from the command line works without problem.

    Any thoughts?

Thanks for your help. I was able to understand. I have several authentication schemes enabled on my server (password, two private key factors). For some reason password authentication does not work with Dreamweaver CC (2014), but using the auth key private with password did the trick.

    Thanks for your help!

  • The French keyboard mapping - no hooks in Windows XP

    Hello

I'll try to explain my problem better than I can. I run a Windows XP3 VM in VMWare Fusion 3.1.1. This medication is fine except that I can't type square brackets in my VM, which sucks when I use Visual Studio for coding in c#.

After some research, I discovered this activation keyboard mappings of language (french in my case) in the preferences of VMWare creates, among other things, some mapping of AltGr (and AltGr) which replaces the default behavior, type the brackets. The problem is, I can't disable their selectively, it is a choice all or nothing. If the keyboard for the language mappings globally are unset, I lose a lot of Mac to the PC keyboard mappings, and I have to use the PC to my Mac keyboard layout, which is difficult.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Baptist

Ah actually I finally managed to install the drivers.

My MBP CD does not seem to be organized as described in the TechNote (see screenshot) and it is not a "setup.exe" in the CD \Boot Camp\Drivers\. As I tried to install the keyboard driver just happens to be insufficient

Now I tried again and ran "Bootcamp.msi" in \Boot Camp\Drivers\Apple\ and then, after an error on AppleHALSomething that I simply ignored, I was asked to reboot and bingo!

Now it works but I had to disable the mapping of the French language in preferences VMWare keyboard - looks like this mapping of language for the french (and perhaps a few others) is not correct or / and is not compatible with the correct Apple keyboard layout in Windows XP.

Last little problem: braces and backslash must be triggered using the shortcut Win instead of Mac - it's better than nothing (and the height with Parallels) and a key mapping should be able to fix thar

    It would be nice:

-If possible, avoid the Bootcamp install step (as others do),

-If not, to recommend to install Bootcamp and disable the integrated French language mapping.
