• Pavilion dv6-7135nr: loss of network connectivity and wireless after upgrade to Windows 10 cable

  After the upgrade to Windows 10, I lose network connectivity after a restart of the computer.

  The operating system fails to load drivers Broadcom 4313 n. The driver date is May 8 202. The reason code is 31 on failure to load the drivers.

  I returned to Windows 7 and migrated to Windows 10 several times with the same result. I tried to upgrade on the Broadcom drivers, but Windows says they are up-to-date.

  I also see that the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller is having the same problem.

  I think it's a driver problem, but cannot find the correct set of drivers.

  Any help would be very useful. I have just re-upgrade to Windows 10 and have network connectivity.

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv6-7135nr Entertainment Notebook and problems with connectivity Wireless Windows 10. You can try to use the Windows Update Troubleshooter to fix updates that do not come through Windows 10.  Please restart the laptop twice to make sure that all updates are completed!

  Here is a document that shows how update the drivers that do not work correctly with Windows 10.

  Here is a tool of Broadcom for Windows 10 drivers that could help.

  Windows 10 drivers are available through Windows Update. Please be aware that HP does not Windows 10 drivers will be available from Windows Update.

  1. Download version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.
  • Navigate to HP Software and Driver Downloads site (http://www8.hp.com/us/en/drivers.html) to find the last pilot approved for your model.  Filtrer filter by version, select Microsoft Windows 8.1 on the menu drop-down.  Find the download in the category 'Driver-Chipset'  If a pilot of MEI with a version from 9 or 10 number is listed, download.  [9.5.24.1790 version 1.5 M (http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp66001-66500/sp66228.exe) works for most models.]
  • If a pilot of MEI with a version from 9 or 10 number is NOT listed, download the driver appropriate directly from Intel (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=intel+management+engine).  [9.5.24.1790 version 1.5 M (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23091/Intel-ME-9-Management-Engine-Driver-for-Intel-NUC) works for most models.]
  2. Download the Package of troubleshooting Windows 10 "show or hide updates" (http://download.microsoft.com/download/F/2/2/F22D5FDB-59CD-4275-8C95-1BE17BF70B21/wushowhide.diagcab).
  3. Change the Windows Update Services automatic (delayed start) parameter to the manual.
  • In Control Panel, select administrative tools, and open Services.
  • Go to Windows Update and double-click it to view its properties.
  • Click on stop to stop the service to run.
  • Change the Startup Type to manual, and then click OK.
  4. Install version 9 or 10 of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.  If you receive a warning dialog box about the replacement of a newer version of the software, accept it.
  • NOTE: You have NO need to uninstall version 11 before installing version 9 or 10.  The presence of a version of the driver is required to 'upgrade' (or demote in this case).
  5. Run the Windows 10 Troubleshooting Package 'Show or hide updates' and hide the updates of the Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) driver.  (This will block your system automatically reinstall or display of updates for version 11 of the pilot).
  6. Change back the setting of Windows Update Services to manual automatic (delayed start).
  7. Restart your computer.
  8. Rejoice!  You can finally sleep and stop again.

  If you do not need the touch feature you could disable, as follows:

  Press Windows + X logo.
  Select Device Manager from the list.
  Click on the small arrow next to Interface devices to expand the list.
  Click on the touch screen driver
  Right click and select Disable from the list.

  I have a brand new Pavilion 17 t. I received 24 February 2016 and it's now March 5, 2016. When I had first touchscreen laptop all the features worked well. Sine, then I had a couple of updates from HP that requires restart. Two days ago I noticed the touch function is more worked. When I go to the pen and touch the properties of all the buttons are grayed. I know it's possible that among the updates may be turned off. How can I find out what happened and to cancel it. I use a lot touch. It is as if my monitor is not able to touch. How can I check it while it is still under warranty?

  I don't want to do it again. I'm looking for the commands from the command prompt, reg fix, uninstall the updatethat caused, etc.. I want technical solutions, not wiping my OS. That's what the helpdesk people recommend when they have no idea how to solve a problem. No, recoveries and restorations are last options only, not first.

  You are not able to print from other applications as well?

  You see an error message when trying to print/scanning?

  Try to follow the procedure mentioned below:

  1 - print from other applications like Ms Word/Notepad and see if you can print.

  2 - Check if there is an update available for Acrobat, launch Acrobat > go to the Help menu > click Find updates.

  3 - follow the steps that are given here: print troubleshoot PDF in Acrobat and Reader.

  4. If this does not work, try to repair Acrobat installation, launch Acrobat > click on the Help menu, then click on repair installation.

  This could occur due to system conflicts.

  Try the steps.

  If the auto repair is unable to repair your PC, select "Advanced options" and then "Troubleshooting."

  1. Select 'Advanced options', then 'command prompt'.
  2. If you are prompted, enter the password for the user name.
  3. At the command prompt, type the following commands, and press ENTER.

  Bootrec /fixMBR
  Bootrec /Fixboot
  Bootrec /rebuildBCD

  Restart the computer and check the issue.

These cases of 2.5 HARD disk are not expensive and you can buy it in every store of the computer.

  Then you could try to recover the laptop delivered together with the Toshiba Recovery CD.
  But wait; have you tried to connect the laptop to the external display?
  Check it!
  Maybe you could see something on the second screen.

  I think that this procedure could be useful to clarify what s wrong.
  To me this question looks like a small little dysfunction of the FL inverter.
  In this case the installation of the new operating system will help you not to solve this problem.

  But who knows the verification is necessary to find what could be wrong.
