  You can upgrade the laptop with an SSD. You need a disc SSD SATA 2.5 as the A120 supports the SATA controller.
  Not quite sure about the SSD size but I guess a 250 GB should be recognized correctly.

• Satellite Pro A120 - Jerky empty reading after installing new HARD drive

  Just installed a new hard drive in my Satellite Pro A120. Made a full new install Vista, installed all the drivers but video playback is choppy/jerky. Even google earth is juddery. It didn't use to be like this with the original hard drive.

  A I had a problem of driver somewhere? I think it's the 945 chipset.

  Normally it should not be a problem to use a HARD drive this lager s like 137 GB because as much as I know there is no limit of capacity on SATA interface.
  But as said Akuma, test it before buying this drive.

  Here's a bunch of praise from a proud Australian customer!

  I currently own a Satellite Pro A120 (model: PSAC1A - K 00, 005) Windows XP Professional... I do not have an ounce of trouble with this computer and not have it to a Toshiba service center in the almost three years I've owned it so far! This computer received training from me at the moment and never gave me any major problems!

  The only problem I had (and it wasn't linked computer) was that my modem to broadband wireless gave the soul and I had to have a professional appearance of home - COMPUTER problem is the modem! I had previously updated a week before and it overloaded for sodomy and he said, "I don't want to play more!" and stopped working! This then cost me $ 299 for a new modem and on the reverse a new first a loser who has been blamed by my ISP and I went back and got a new free! What prompted my parents to go out and buy a Satellite A300 (unknown model yet!) so that they can use it in their business!

  Toshiba, you are to be congratulated on a great product and I will buy only a portable Toshiba in the future!

• Satellite Pro A120-145: yellow typical mark in Device Manager

  I have a Satellite Pro A120-145 running Win Xp Pro fully patched and updated, I have a yellow typical marks against "serial" in non-plug-and-play in Device Manager (when I click on view devices).

  Could someone tell me what driver is needed for this? I don't want to use the recovery disc I made a custom Setup to get rid of the excess baggage which is included on the disc.

• Satellite Pro A120: No reason apparent IExplorer closes

• Satellite Pro A120: I have problems with the installation of the graphics driver for W2k

  I installed windows 2000 on an A120, the system is fully packed and service updated before I even start to install the necessary drivers, I am unable to restart the system.   Have you tested this change in method of cooling in the sleep tool? Make sure that the cooling rack is not dirty and nothing is blocking the vents.
