  3. Locate the Boolean browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete
  4. Change the false value

  AutoComplete in the bar of my url suddenly stopped working. I use Firefox on a Mac with OS 10.10.5 43.0. First of all, I checked that AutoComplete is enabled in the preferences, "refreshed" Firefox and install a new copy.   Hmm, interesting. The first item on the list, which for me is preselected, seems to provide information on what will happen if you press enter or click the Go button. For example, if you have the URL bar auto-complete enabled (which is the default value), a corresponding site is displayed. If you disable the feature AutoFill, you could get an indication that will search in Firefox for the characters you typed. I have attached the screenshots contrast for reference.

  I think that if you want to use an item in the list, you must always press the arrow pointing to the same number of times as before.

  You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

  Hi hamid, in order to change this enter on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete. Double-click it and change its value to false.

• Bar bookmarks above URL bar when I open FireFox

  For some time now, every time I open FireFox, the menu icons toolbar and the bookmarks bar are past positions so that the bar menu is immediately above the tabs icons, and the Favorites bar is that, rather than the reverse (see screenshot).   Other stuff that may or may not apply: I the awesome bar, URL bar and all my icons menu (without text) on a single line. I have also seen text menu bar. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate, res 1152 x 864 with text to 125%. I always have at least a couple of the pinned tabs.

  On another computer I use (the Windows 7 Home Premium, 1366 x 768 res, 100% text, also always have something stuck), I don't have this problem. However, on this computer, it is empty space vertical between the tab bar and the bookmarks bar, as if another bar should be there (see second screenshot). I realize, there are two separate issues, but still, they both seem to suggest a problem of overflow, so maybe not.

  This can happen when you move the bar to its default position tabs top to down just above the content of the Web site.
  This doesn't seem to work properly.
  Usually the toolbars bring back in the right order if you open the window customize.
