Try activating windows 8 pro after buying the upgrade through MS online.  Initially it was working fine, then I was invited to return my today activation code that I did, now it will not activate.  What's weird is, if I go to the system properties, it is said not activated, I click to view details, and then it tells me that it is enabled.

I feel like it's not, I can not download applications or run updates to add features to windows
I tried slui 3 to activate as well as run CMD slmgr.vbs - ato which still registers an error (same error that States submit).

I did a refresh with tech windows on the line to restore windows again, but that has not solved the problem.  I couldn't finish cause lack of time with MS.

Anyone run into something like this before?  The upgrade has been run from Windows 7.
    Thank you.

Sorry I didn't answer, I just got power after the hurricane!  After that the PC would start again, he finally had the status of active.  I'm not sure what he did, but at least it works now.  All thanks for the reply.

If I understand correctly, you used the recovery CD from Toshiba that was provided with this laptop. You didn t use a restore CD that has been created for another series of laptop. Am I wrong?

I ask because the fact is that the laptop should work perfectly, without any trouble after using the recovery CD.

Are you sure this isn't a hardware problem?

Well, I wonder why you are not able to reinstall the OS using the recovery CD if the hardware is ok. Really strange what s

  • slui.exe is not compatible with this version of windows.

I installed an iso image of windows 7 Professional and haven't configured my backup when I deleted slui.exe thinking it was a virus. It is not in my trash. I copied the system32 file from active computer windows 7 Professional, which included slui in there, in the hope that, at least, I would be able to recover slui a race. I did get back, but even if it is the same version, they say that it is not compatible with my version of windows. How can I get that back? I have a 32-bit computer.

You might try to run the System File Checker utility, but if this does not work, you might have to upgrade the repair.

    Click Start
Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD
    Click on "Run as Administrator"
At the command prompt, type: sfc/scannow

This will check for any breach of integrity

    Your installation is not authentic.

OEM_SLP key from an ASUS computer is used in a machine manufactured long before the release of Windows 7 - this does not work.

You go back to the original OS with which the delivered machine - probably Vista.

The "Windows 7" you bought is a recovery disk, not a version with a license - if it was sold to you as a genuine licensed copy, ask for a refund. "."

When I try to "search programs and files" type slui.exe 4, all I get are the options:

    (1) buy a new product key

    (2) type a different product key

    (3) contact Hewlett-Packard to help solve this problem

    It's my diagnostic report:

Your problem is that, for some reason, the system is unable to properly read the table SLIC in BIOS, what is required in order to triggered the key OEM_SLP with which the computer came installed.

The normal solution is to change the key for that on your COA sticker - but you say that you are unable to read the key here.

In such circumstances, are the only things you can do

    (1) Re-create the license store - in which case it's a minor software problem causing the is
    2) try to update the BIOS to the most recent available Win7-compliant, from the manufacturer's website
    (3) contact the manufacturer and see if they can provide assistance to correct the SLIC table
    (4) a reformat and reinstall using the manufacturer's recovery media
    (5) purchase of a new license for Windows (or a new computer)

  • Windows 8 needs activation, tried Slui.exe 4 does not

I had windows 8 years and have had no problem. just recently my pc has been telling me that I need to activate it. I tried to activate online that did not help, I tried to use slui.exe 4 but it goes just in a continuous charge and once it worked but he had no figures on the numbers from 1 to 9. I've tried everything. If anyone knows what to do I would really appreciate it.

    Hello

1 did you the hardware changes to the computer before the show?
    2. is your copy of Windows 8 OEM?

If you have received a message saying that Windows could not be activated, here are a few reasons why it could not work and some things you can try to solve the problem.

I suggest you try the steps from the following link and see if that helps.

    Why can't I activate Windows?

One of my two computers can no longer access the internet - missing csrss.exe.

The computer is running XP (service pack 3) and Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE).

Symptom: When initialize - upward, he says he can't find csrss.exe in the directory: C:\Docum...~1\...\...\...\csrss.exe

He suggested to delete the reference to it in the registry.

In fact, after a search, my computer has csrss.exe, but not, in the directory, he said he couldn't find csrss.exe.

  • slui.exe 4 - does not respond when you try to phone activation

    Hello

I had to reinstall win7 ultimate retail 64 bit (geographical limited version) on my computer and had previously phone activated without any problems.
However when this time this tour when it prompted me to activate, running slui.exe does not (no dialog box etc..)
I ran a search on the other topics on slui.exe and found no useful answers.
Appreciate that someone can advise on how to fix. Thank you.
    * edit *-I ran a search on "Activate windows", which is under the control panel > system, however by clicking New produces no result. Also when in the form of the system, there is no current activation information. I hope the info helps diagnose the problem

This activation problem may occur if the Service for the Protection of software (SPPSVC) is stopped or damaged. Normally this isn't a problem, since you can just restart the Service. Sometimes, an error is received when you try to restart the Service. This indicates a more serious cause of 'root' for the service having damaged.

Restart the Software License Manager Service:

    (3) at the top of the start window, you will see cmd.exe
    (4) right click on cmd.exe and select run as administrator
    (5) type: net start sppsvc

(If you do not have access to the Start button):

    1) click on the option that launches an Internet browser
    (2) a browser opens, type: %windir%\system32 in the address field
    (3) find the cmd.exe file
    (4) make a right click on the cmd.exe and select run as administrator

Let me know if that helps, otherwise we have a lot more that can be tried.
