  • What CPU for Photoshop?

I find a lot of slow down to some photoshop work, I do my laptop. The files end up in 100G and tampering takes foever, in Lightroom, as well as in Photoshop. So I'm shopping for a more powerful desktop computer.

Should I insist on speed (2.6 MHz vs 2.2.MHZ for example), or memory memory or video, video card, or the speed of the system Bus, or cache processor, etc... he get crazy! and frustrating.

So, I found basically 2 systems

A: with six cores AMD Phenom II 1035 T

It is 2.6 MHz with 8GB

Graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 5770 with 1 GB dedicated memory

B: with processor i7-860 image, also with 8 GB

It is at 2.8 GHz with Hyper-Threading and Turbo Boost technology technology

Video card is the same that is ATI Radeon HD 5770 with 1 GB dedicated memory

    What to do?

System said as his BUS system at 4000 MHz, but I have never seen it before

    Thanks for any help, P

If you think that up to now, consider the i7 920 instead of the 860. Different platforms (chipset) and Setup is more favourable in the long term. See the following article:

    http://www.TomsHardware.com/Forum/266032-28-TomsHardware

I have the four AMD Athlon II core. It's pretty fast and as Noel pointed multicores give excellent performance in Photoshop. But the difference here is this: The Intels are two real core + virtual kernel, a core i7 4 leads as a unit of 8 cores. There is a trade-off, but I expect that at least, a link between the 6 core AMD and Intel 4 + 4, but I wouldn't be surprised to find the edging from Intel to AMD.

It would be nice for you to search Anandtech and Tom Harware for a vision clear opportunities and trade-offs. Personally, I worked with the i7 Intel, doing work on overclocking app. It's devilishly one piece of silicon, and when I finally had the time to run CS4 as a test on one platform. She performed superbly, even with marginal video cards (nVidia 7000 series).

And I have not had opportunities memory for the Intel i7.

Overall, however, it seems that AMD is more flexible for upgrades. The way feels better, more homogeneous than the Intel. Breaking the 800 series of the measure and the help of a another plug for each guarantee mismatch on the line. AMD, which avoids right from the start.

  • Re: Equium P200-178 - what CPU for an upgrade?

    Hello

I have the number piece Equium P200-178 PSPB2E-001002AV at the moment with Intel® Pentium® Dual - Core Processor T2080 1.73 GHz 533 MHz, I'd like to upgrade but that I can safely go with?

I think im after the same socket as it is Socket M but how fast can I go with that I don't want to overheat it cause ill be using the same cooling system.

    Hi bdragun,

These CPU updates is not supported by Toshiba and so there is no official list of processors, they will work in Equium P200. No one has tested the other processors in this model

  • Portégé R600-102: what SSD for upgrade?

    Hello everyone.

I want to upgrade my SSD the real 128 GB to a bigger: what are the specifications for the new SSD to work? Should what interface have? What physical dimensions?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    TIA,
    Flavio.

    Hello

I guess that the SSD upgrade is the same as the upgrade of the HARD drive.
The laptop support SATA controller, you will need a SATA SSD.
The old drive SSD is 9.5 mm in height the new SSD drive should support the same height.

Given that the SATA controller is not limited to any size, it should be possible to use the SSD drives more of 128 GB but there is still a matter of BIOS support.

Unfortunately, it s unclear to me if the BIOS would support more large SSD drives, but generally this should be supported.

  • Question about upgrading the CPU for Satellite 1110-Z14

    Hello

My satellite 1110-z14 has a processor intel mobile celeron @ 1.5 ghz. The processor is based on architecture p4 - it should be a northwood-256.
Is it possible to upgrade the processor?

1110-z20 is powered by the mobile celeron @ 2.0 ghz - all other technical specifications except the hard drive are the same... (ati radeon m6 with 16 MB, usb 1.1 mob and so on...).

What do you think, can I upgrade the processor?
    Can what cpu I use?

    Thanks for your replies!

    Hello

AFAIK the 1110 series computer is equipped with an Intel 845MZ system controller.
I found some details about Intel 845MZ chipset on the Intel page. It must be able to manage the Mobile Intel Pentium 4 - M with 400 MHz FSB Processor
    http://www.Intel.com/products/chipsets/845MP/index.htm
On the Intel page, you can find the entire family of the CPU.

But generally the replacement of CPU and the upgrade is not recommended and no one can say whether the OS will run stable after these updates, so be careful.

'' Yes Intel Core i5 - 2520M is as far as I can go? '' Yes.

Beyond the capabilities of the chipset, the 16 GB capacity is dependent on the BIOS support. HP released the specifications that are available on the web for the public and the manual for State service providers authorized that 8 GB is the maximum taken in charge.

  • Where can I find what should be my temperatures of the CPU for laptop HP Pavilion DV7-6195us?

I download a software to view the inside temperatures and even if they have little symbols (green check, red/yellow flame, etc.) by every internal part (e.g. CPU0) I want to know what HP internal temperature range is recommended.  Thank you.

What CPU is installed in your laptop?

It isn't really a question of what HP is recommended. Your concern should be what the CPU manufacturer lists as Tjunction for the CPU.

If your laptop is the Intel Core i7-2630QM installed then lists Intel 100 c as TJunction. I found the technique for your laptop here. You should be concerned if you see time > 85 degrees Celsius. Here is a link to Intel for your processor plug.

  • What are my options for upgrading to Acrobat 8 Pro?

I have a user who sometimes creates and modifies forms using Acrobat 8 Pro. It uses Live Cycle for some forms. We need to upgrade it to a newer version. I am aware that Live Cycle is now a separate license. What are my upgrade options - if any? Just buy a new license for Acrobat Pro and Live Cycle? Can I still purchase XI or DC my only choice. We are not interested in the characteristics of the clouds.

    Thank you.

You have no option to upgrade.

You can only buy DC Acrobat from Adobe.

You will need to purchase LiveCycle Designer separately.

  • What are the upgrade options (memory, video, audio, etc) for my HP Mini 210-4022 YOU?

Are there options to upgrade for my netbook HP Mini 210-4022 YOU?

I'm hoping to hear that there is in the following categories and their corresponding limit for upgrades:

    - internal memory (currently 2 GB of DDR3 memory, as far as I know, but am sure it's 2 GB), I want that this more general if possible

    - graphics card (integrated Intel, I know it is soldered on the motherboard but maybe, just maybe? a upgrade?) Some games I can't play and having problems with simple games and apps that should not be a problem in the first place as PlantsvsZombies because the latest drivers cannot Martin play this game and other games as well and I need to uninstall the drivers of the said... Is that how it supposed to work backward rather than forward? But I hope I can improve this...

    - audio (but that's fine, I have beats just want to know)

  • Looking for upgrade m7260n information

Hello.  I have an old m7260n.  Looking to update everything that I can to handle some of the latest video games:

I understand that I have my system will take care of 4 GB, but do not know how fast RAM I should get.

I want to upgrade the processor and would like to know how to determine what CPU improvements will work with my motherboard (which I think is an Asus P5LP-, but not sure).   Also, how the decision factors in choosing a CPU.

I definitely want to update the graphics card (currently: ATI Radion x300se, 128 MB of DDR memory).  I consider the upgrade to a dedicated graphics card, but don't know if it's possible, or how that will affect my computer when I use it for other basic things.

I also wonder if I should get a faster hard drive (not sure how to check how fast mine is), or if any solid stare disc would work in my old computer.

Thank you for helping me to upgrade my computer.

    -Tyler

You need to open the side panel... If the power supply is 300 w, you don't need to replace it... Basic graphics card works perfectly...

and yes it will be able to play games... computer lower end of absolutelly will work for general operations...
