Open a command prompt window and type the following command

ipconfig/all

This will display the status of network cards installed on your computer.
You can also use the Device Manager and look under the node "network adapters."

This should be the web page linked to your PC

http://support.Dell.com/support/downloads/devices.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=Gen&OSL=en&SystemID=PLX_PNT_P4_GX260&OS=WW1

  • ze5228 ethernet controller - driver vista or manufacturer/model please

    Hello

I have a Pavilion ze5228 and I installed Windows Vista on it.

All the devices work properly except the Ethernet controller. I tried to use the XP drivers on the HP site, but it didn't.

Could if it you please let me know which manufacturer/model being installed, I can find the driver on its website?

    Thank you very much.

I think that it is the National Semiconductor MacPhyter ethernet. Xp driver should work under Vista; You may need to install it in XP compatibility mode.

You could post the hardware id string, then we can be sure. Go to Device Manager, right click on the ethernet connection, and select Properties, then hardware id.

    http://www.national.com/appinfo/networks/files/macphyter_winxp.zip

The above driver is supposed to work with Vista.

  • Satellite A100 PSAA5A Windows does not recognize ethernet controller

    Hello

    I'm having a problem with a PSAA5A-01H00T A100 running Win XP sp2.
Windows does not recognize an ethernet controller, so the wireless NETWORK card does not work, even if the wired connection is.
I tried to install the latest WLAN drivers on the support site (two of them), does not. Windows insists that the correct drivers are not installed.

I suspect a hardware problem and I have the user on an external wireless NETWORK card, but I would appreciate any idea that you guys can provide.

    Thank you.

    Hi mate

What Ethernet controller is not recognized? WLan or LAN?
You have a few unknown devices in Device Manager?
If so, then a critical driver is missing, and so the controller is not recognized correctly.

You n t know what LAN or Wlan chip you have and what driver is needed?
    Check this box:

  • Problem with satellite Pro L300 Ethernet controller

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro L300 (PSLB9A - 02L 001). Have'nt after being on the dial for the year last I was wireless (it worked well before that) but am now back on broadband but I don't seem to have any wireless.
Checked the Device Manager and there is a yellow exclamation next to the ethernet controller and it seems there is no pilot, but apart from that, there is no further details. I tried to update the driver but it cannot find the driver on my computer and it will not search the Internet for this.

I tried, but none of the drivers I downloaded seems to work...
At the back of the computer laptop is a sticker - PA3613U-1MPC, I think it's the wifi card that is missing the driver but I can't find a driver for it for the life of me...

    Any help would be wonderful.

  • Satellite M-115 S1061 not correctly configured Ethernet controller

Hi all. I am the third person who is the owner of this laptop and I don't have any of the original documents, software - nothing. I recently had to reinstall the operating system, and because I didn't have the original operating system I had to use another copy of Windows XP pro that I had. Well, the network card is installed fine and work correctly, but the ethernet controller isn't. I don't know much about these things, but I thought that if it was not working right the other should be too. They use different drivers? I tried the file here:

    http://cdgenp01.CSD.Toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/lan_driver_realtek_25058B.exe

and I tried the latest file from the realtek site, for my Realtek RTL8139 Family Fast Ethernet NIC.

No one who has solved the problem. The Ethernet controller is still there in DM with an exclamation mark next to it - as well as the SM Bus controller. The bus controller would be the reason why the controller sets not right?

What Miss me? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I agree with Akuma. Please note that the Chipset driver must be installed first.
After installation of the chipset driver continue with graphics, sound, modem, LAN and all the other drivers.

But chipset driver must be installed first.

  • Ethernet controller does not work on the Satellite L645D-S4030

Basically, I got my windows 7 reinstalled on my laptop due to virus... Now I have a problem with the Ethernet controller does not, I checked my device manager and there is a kind of yellow dash through the icon... Someone knows what is the problem and how can I solve this problem?

    BTW, I have a SATELLITE L645D-S4030

    Hey Buddy,

Hmm generally if you reinstall Toshiba Recovery disk Windows all drivers will be installed too because the disc contains a picture of the factory settings.
    Or you used another drive?

Yellow exclamation mark can mean that there is a driver problem and so it would be advisable to reinstall the LAN driver. Follow the link Timox. After the driver is installed, restart your computer and check again in Device Manager. The yellow exclamation point should normally be gone.

  • Satellite L300 - how to install Ethernet controller?

    Hi all

The other day I was cleaning up my computer (just uninstall unused and games programs and other things) and I accidentally uninstalled my ethernet controller.

I restarted my computer and it came with a box saying install ethernet controller. So I click on this button and it said to put in the disc that came with the computer, but I do not have a disk, and so I clicked on another option that says "use another option to install this" so I clicked it, but then he said you must be connected to the internet. which is all just stupid because I can't connect because no ethernet controller not... So! My question is: what can I do to install it again, or whatever. I'm not that smart computer, as I don't know anything about any electronics inside the screen or something, I'm on of those people who knows how to change the wallpaper and installing a game, but that's all.

Can I get a disk to the message box says to Toshiba? or perhaps a local store like Ricahrd Smith (Actaully his Di * ck smith, he said I can't have the complete word apparently his rough. haha) or something?

Please help me. I am writing from an Internet café and I really don't like this part of town... lol. I'd rather be in the comfort of my own home and being on the internet there.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Hello!

To me it sounds like that, you have also uninstalled the driver of Ethernet controller and so after reboot, the message appears that you will install the Ethernet controller.

However, you can download all the drivers for your laptop on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

Maybe you can download the driver in the internet cafe or a friend who has the internet connection.

More the laptop is not delivered with a recovery disk because you have to create this disc by yourself. If you start the Toshiba recovery disc creator you can create the recovery disk that contains an image of the factory settings. You can boot from that disk but it erase your entire HARD drive so always backup the files on the HARD disk before using it. It of pretty easy to use and only takes a few minutes.
If you would like more information on the recovery disk, please consult your user manual!

    Good bye
