What happens if I delete the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution?

Hey if long story short, I wanted to switch to the window 10 but now I don't have and I get this widow to come it's almost time for my upgrade, even if I deleted the application of windows 10 get and all the installation of my computer files. If I open windows update he says also your upgrade is ready and the point is that I can not new updates for my computer because of her wanting my upgrade. So, I was told I should try deleting the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and that should fix the problem but I don't know what all will happen if I do. • What happens if I delete the files in the Temp folder in Windows 7?

What is happening in the windows--> Temp folder in windows 7, and if I delete the files there, that will be a problem?  I want to free up the disk space of 1.8 G, but can't find any info anywhere of the consequences of deleting these files, what they are for, or how they got there.  Thank you!

In general, it is safe to delete anything in the Temp folder.  Sometimes, you can get a "Cannot be deleted because the file is in use" message, but you can just ignore these files.

For safety, do your Temp directory deletion right after you restart the computer.  Sometimes a program installer will put something in the Temp directory it needs to complete the installation after a reboot.  If you restart and wait a bit so that they were, whatever left in the Temp folder should be OK to delete it.

If you want to be conservative, use the built-in Disk Cleanup tool (type of cleaning disc in the search box).  If you select "Temporary files" as one of the elements to clean (deleted), by default, that Disk Cleanup removes only the files that have not changed in 7 days.

  • What happens if I delete the contents of the my SubscriptionPlayCache folder in iTunes?

    Hello world

I'm on a MacBook Pro (El Capitan 10.11.2, 2.4 GHz/4 GB), with 121 GB of Flash storage and I'm running out of hard drive space.

I got a new time Capsule recently and more backups were transfer files to this (pictures, videos, etc.), but I just noticed the iTunes cache - specifically "SubscriptionPlayCache" has 9.1 GB of data in it. I regularly listen to music while I work, then, of course, that this has been over time.

Will be the rumble of coming world down if I delete the contents of this file, leaving the folder itself in place (to begin its inexorable March upward the Hill of filling of storage)?

    Thank you!

Music files Apple cache: http://dougscripts.com/itunes/2015/09/new-flush-apple-music-cache-files/ - ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.iTunes/SubscriptionPlayCache/ file, which is a bit like a "iTunes Media" folder for music from Apple

You might find yourself with a bunch of broken links in iTunes for tracks pointing to these files. You could always delete those that many find that painful and unsightly to have them even.

What harm is there in the removal of the old security updates?

Not a good idea.  Your computer would be vulnerable to security issues that these updates set, making it easier for hackers to take control of your computer, identity theft, etc. Boulder computer Maven

  • What happens if I delete the site of BC?

Hi there - I'm a member of the Adobe cloud and transferred to a domain in British Colombia a month ago. Now, I need to switch the domain to another hosting service. Remove the site from the dashboard? Or is there a space a place to put in the change of the DNS info? Am confused what to do next? Thanks for your help, Valv

    Hello

You must change the DNS information on the end of your registration. In addition, it is advised to remove the domain of your site of BC. You can also remove the site from BC, if you don't need more.

  • Opening 5 LR I see "Lightroom has encountered an error when reading the preview cache and need to quit."  I deleted the folder Preview Cache completely (saved).  What can I do next to load Lightroom?

Anybody out there can help get LR works again.

Open LR 5 I see message "Lightroom has encountered an error in its cache of the preview reading and needs to stop smoking".  I deleted the folder Preview Cache completely (saved).  This does not solve the problem.  What can I do next to load Lightroom?

If you remove the preview cache folder and the problem persists, then most likely you have found the wrong preview cache (it's for a different catalog previews) and you must find the right cache overview. You should use the search function of your operating system to find all files whose name ends with Previews.LRDATA and remove each of them until you can open your Lightroom Catalog.

  • What happens if I delete a backup for an apple device is no longer used?

My iCloud storage is running out of space, and I don't have the money to pay every month for extra storage space. I was wondering what would happen if I deleted the backup for my iPod touch that I have not used since last February. My iPod is also the first device I have with my icloud account, so I was wondering if I lose all my stuff? I recorded on my iPad, but I'm worried if I delete my backup storage iPod that everything will be wiped. I did not have a work computer so I can't download all about iCloud on a laptop. My devices are iPod touch, the ipad mini and iPhone 5 c. I don't want to lose everything I have downloaded.
