  To answer your questions. All programs installed no the shop such as DVD/CD and downloads, you have done will be all deleted and a list of these will be placed on your desktop. Your pictures, videos, personal, music is preserved. Updated all the drivers will need to be reinstalled. That being said, you should always back up any personal items you don't want to lose, because everything happens.   I suggest that you enable restoring the system so that it is available the next time that you need.  Note that the system restore must be enabled on the operating system drive, there is no need to enable restoring the system on disks.

  Regarding the dllhost.exe - application error message I suggest that you run a Malwarebytes and a TDSSKiller scan on the machine.  If these find no parasites, then don't look at the registry of the possible clues, this error can be caused by any software installed on the computer.

  Not really according to your settings update only important updates are necessary, but often the recommended updates are mixed in Important updates due to a simple setting is checked when it should be disabled.

  Sorry that person to return to you earlier on this subject...

  I've been out for a while and only just now saw this. do not know why no one else has answered you.

  Anyway... my advice would be DO NOT upgrade to Win10.  You have a really old video chipset and there is no new Win10 driver for it, that would have relegated you to something that Microsoft calls a basic graphics card, which means you would get low resolution and poor performance.

  In addition, lack of HP Win10 drivers for your other hardware could very well make other functions turnine, as well.

  Older PCs simply did not succeed well with the upgrade - but at least you gave on this subject in advance and do not end with a trashed PC - what happened to me!
