What happens to iCloud disk files when you reinstall the operating system

Hello.

So I thought I use iCloud drive to store files from work because I had to increase 50 GB due to miss the free 5 GB because of photos.

But my doubt is what happens if my hard drive is going nuts and I install everything... With a new installation, what happens to the files? Download automatically? Or they are deleted on the server (since the new drive iCloud installation folder would be empty)? And can they be backed up with Time Machine? If so, if I get Time machine, it automatically retrieves files from iCloud drive?

I'm sorry for so many questions, but these are important files.

Thank you!

The files are up in the cloud - iCloud!

Because you will lose the lot, you will need to restore from your external backup. If you do not back up your files regularly then it is a good time to review your backup strategy.

You can always back up your files to boot the machine with a Ubuntu boot CD. Unfortunately, it is much more difficult than restoring from a backup disk.

  • What happens in a batch file when you try to redirect the output of a command in a text file? How did it break the lot?

I have a lot that downloads the files, and I want to redirect the output to a text file.  The lot is set up similar to the following:
    Set ftp = c:\ftp.txt
    hdir = Set / mydir
    Define ldir = c:\temp
    echo open monsite.org > ftp %
    echo user > ftp %
    echo pw > ftp %
    echo get myfile.txt > ftp %
    echo mget my*.dat > ftp %
to echo bye > ftp %
    -I - s FTP: ftp % > "c:\temp\ftp.log."

This lot works perfectly if I redirect the output of the ftp command, but, when I redirect the output, I get a logfile with 3 lines as follows:
    no connection
    mget my*.dat
    Good bye

I tried the commands different redirect, with undesired results
    > & (which causes only the batch to close by anything in the logs)

Why is - what this redirect would break the batch and the ftp script in particular?

This is now fixed; was a simple mistake really, but thanks for all the help anyway.

  • Possible to force overwriting of files when you use the method. render()?

    Hello world

Hope all are well.  I looked at the documentation available in the Guide scripts of the effects after, but could not find any information on this.  Is it possible to force overwriting of files when you call a rendering method. render() in a script?  I know there is a constant that can be used to force overwriting of .aep project files when you use the method. close() on the app object.  For example, it's documentation:

Action to run on close. A CloseOptions enumerated value, one of:

CloseOptions.DO_NOT_SAVE_CHANGES : Close without saving the changes. CloseOptions.PROMPT_TO_SAVE_CHANGES : Whether to save changes before closing.
CloseOptions.SAVE_CHANGES : automatically record on the end.

Is there something like this for managing conflicts of files during the rendering process?

    Thank you

That's what I do. It seems to work:

    app.beginSuppressDialogs ();

    myProject.renderQueue.render ();

    app.endSuppressDialogs (false);

Because Dell SLP, the restriction of similar model is not important. All that matters is the EULA and the fact that the two computers are Dells.

    Hey @Polda18,

Usually the error 'an installation operation took too long to run"are related to the file system on your computer. There should be no reason you have to increase the RAM of your computer. Clean the registry is not a bad idea, but I'll offer a few steps first under your normal user account.

2 unplug the USB cable from both the product and the computer, if you already connected.

    3. press the power button or turn the product on.

4 reconnect the USB cable to the computer and the product

The HP Smart Install program should start automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.

If this also fails, proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Disable Smart Install:

    1. On the front panel of your printer, select the button "Setup" (the key)
    2. Under the Setup menu arrow right over into the Service Menu and select OK
    3. Under Menu Service to 'Smart Install' on the right arrow and click OK
    4. Under the Smart Install please disable this feature, then select OK

Once install Smart is disabled, continue with the next step.

Step 3: Run a selective startup on the computer:

    1. Click on the start menu and in the box "search programs and files", type in msconfig and press enter
    2. A box of the System Configuration utility will open now. Under the 'General' window, select "Selective startup" and only to uncheck "Load Startup items".
    3. Click on the 'Services' tab at the top
    4. Select the checkbox at the bottom to "hide all Microsoft Services"
    5. Select 'Disable All' on the right
    6. Select apply then OK and restart your computer when prompted

    Step 4: Run a SFC/scannow:

It is an analysis which are running on your computer. It should identify all the corruption of the system it will tell you. Should the request of scan that you insert your operating system disk, this indicates that you have a corruption of your computer and your operating system must be reinstalled.

    1. Go to your Start menu and type CMD
    2. CMD will fill in the option above, made a click right on this and 'run as administrator '.
    3. When the command prompt opens, type sfc/scannow and press on enter
    4. Allow analysis of fill and take note of any errors, it may impose a fine
    5. Restart your computer once the analysis is complete

Step 5: Run the Windows updates:

Please ensure that all of your Windows updates have been completed.

    1. Open Windows Update by clicking on the button start , clicking all programs, and then click Windows Update.

    2. In the left pane, click search for updates, and then wait while Windows searches the latest updates for your computer.

    3. If updates are found, click install updates. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    Install Windows updates

  • When a renewed system can you buy the disc to reinstall the operating system at the same time?

I was wondering, I'm new here and this is my first post, but I'm looking to buy a refurbbed T400 or the T61. Not sure yet but thought I'd post this here. Thanks in advance!

You can make your own recovery disk set after having received your Thinkpad.

If you order a Thinkpad with an XP downgrade, you will receive a set of recovery disc for the operating system that is not installed and make you your own for one installed.

  • ORA-01789 - when you use the operator of TABLE and SEM_MATCH

Client version: 11.1.0.7 on Windows 7 (32 bit)
    Server version: 11.2.0.3 on Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am model prototyping a simple RDF, and I'm getting a ' ORA-01789: block has an incorrect number of columns in query results "when you use the SEM_MATCH with the SCOREBOARD operator.

    I can run this:
    select id, a.triple.GET_TRIPLE() from drik.rdf_data a
    and the first line is:
    (<http://www.ihc.com/drik/term#2>, <http://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf-schema#subClassOf>, <http://www.ihc.com/drik/term#1>)
Now, I want to use the TABLE like this:
    select

    from
      table(sem_match('{ <http://www.ihc.com/drik/term#2> <http://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf-schema#subClassOf> ?c . }',
            sem_models('Prototype'),

            sem_aliases(sem_alias('rdfs','http://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf-schema/')),
            null

But this performance gives the ORA-07189. Even try SELECT * gives the same error.

I expect to get a refund:

Thanks for posting the script. I was able to reproduce the error locally.

The problem is the use of the sem_apis.create_rules_index () procedure, which has been deprecated:

  • Problems with sound after you install the operating system

I have a compaq presario that originally vista os, the system crashed and I could get the recovery work so I installed windows xp and now I'm having problems with the sound. What should I do? I tried to locate the drivers requarding info. I keep getting error messages indicating that I have no audio device. Is it possible to go back to vista? I don't have an instillation cd or recovery for vista cd. Any help would be great.

    Hello

Go to the link drivers HP > search your computer number model > XP OS > download and install the audio drivers.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

If no audio driver XP is available, HP provides them.

Through the installation of XP, you have destroyed the provided HP recovery Partition Vista to reinstall Vista:

Solve a common problem of recovery with the HP Compaq computers.
If the original operating system is changed to a non - Vista OS, the Recovery Manager cannot be started from either the desktop or by pressing f11 at startup. You can use the recovery disk to restore the computer to the original state of Vista. If you are using a non - Vista OS, you can use a third-party partition management program to recover hard disk space.

Contact HP and ask them to send you a set of Vista recovery disks.
Normally, they do this for a small fee.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

After that my hd, I decided to replace it as well as reinstall Vista Home Basic using the system recovery disk, that I bought at HP in 2007. My laptop is a pavilion dv6000 with Vista 32 bit.

Unfortunately I didn't, I had to turn my copy of vista on my pc within 30 days, since I got my pc sometimes without incurring in this issue. I tried to insert the cd in the back of my pc key, but to understand that no longer works, so I tried with the new cd key of my drive to restore but that no longer works.

  • The recovery disks 2 wear all of the operating system?

I have an old HP Pavilion a1220in PC running Windows XP Media Center Edition. I also found a set of recovery disks in the box.

I've had a lot of problems with my OS now, for most trolling, hanging, etc. So, I ran a few Cache cleaning applications and cleaned. Tried to use Antivirus, but it gets even slower PC, so I left this option. Once he went continuously bootloops, which was the first time I used the recovery disc. There were two options, the only thing that I can remember in their subject is one killed all the data and the other is not.

Once, the score (who wore the recovery image) has been altered and the same problem of bootloop took place again once, so this time I could not choose recover the PC. The only option he gave me was that destroyed all the data.

Now, I want to change the operating system for some versions of Linux. But before that, I want to know that where I want to go back to Windows, will these DVDs help me? I mean, they will be able to install all of the operating system for me?
