What HP laptops are replaceable graphics chips/cards

Since the technology advancing if often you cannot have a good experence game, when more demanding new games come out

is there any HP laptops that may have deleted theyre graphics card?

Hello

A replacement video on laptops is not simple as replacing the video cards on desktop computers. There are few things to take into account and one main thing is the heat. More powerful graphics card still has a higher power and laptops do not have enogh room/space to add more power, the card itself, radiator, fan (s)...

Hope it makes sense.

The HP Pavilion 550 desktop computer - A14Ld has a replaceable graphics card? I often hear on an integrated graphics card, it is the question that I am trading for this model, and it has 4 GB memory graphics dedicated with AMD Radeon R5 graphics card and an AMD A8-6410 processor, 8 GB of memory and a 1 TB of HDD with Windows 8.1. So, is this model with the characteristics I've listed have his replaced graphics card?

The answer is NO, because the HP is not a 550-A14Ld graphic slot PCIEx16. The actual GPU is anchored in the CPU chip. The concept is a like a laptop computer in a matter of funds. The real PSU (power supply) is really a brick 65W, very similar to a computer laptop power supply. I'm so glad you asked!

Through page 1, 2, 3, 26 in the manual, AMD A10 - 4600M is the only processor left for you to upgrade to. Chart is integrated/welded to the processor.

You will get 2 gb graphics discrete class itself with the new processor.

  • What would be a good graphics card for my HP Compaq d330 desktop pc replace the graphic edge

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade the graphic edge on my old HP Compaq d330 pc desktop. I know that racing machine on a processor 2.66 mhz and will support an AGP x 8 card and I'm upgrading system Ram of 512 MB (4x128mb cards) to 2048 MB (4 x 512 MB, maps).
Currently the video ram is 64 MB (on board) and I thought I'd do a card of 128 MB AGP on EBay, but don't know what that you get it.
Everything seems to be so slow graffics wise and ancient beauty is holding still to display certain pages of the sites, I am currently unemployed and so I use the little girl on the net a lot trying to find work, good shopping market e-mail deals, processing etc.
I thought that upgrading the memory and graphics would contribute to the display and speed in order to improve and allow me to multi task email resume and processing more easily in addition to prolong his life and make surfing easier and a lot less loading time.

As you can imagine that I am running on a budget very tight and unable to afford a newer pc.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello:

On my d530 which is basically the same model, I used the nVidia geForce 6200 128 MB AGP card both the ATI Radeon 9600 128 MB AGP card.

They worked very well.  If you can't find one of these cards with more memory so much better.  But most of them came with 128 MB (which was a decent amount of memory back in the day).

There is a setting in BIOS in the d530 (and perhaps the d330 as well) which allows you to spread the amount of system memory to add it on the video card to help with graphics performance - up to 256 MB.

So, you could have 128 MB memory graphics dedicated card, over up to 256 MB of system memory.

These two cards will allow also the PC run full Windows 7 32-bit as well.

On my laptop Satellite-L755D-11W, in some games and applications does not change the graphics chip. Otherwise said, at the time to choose the right game, I want to put a high-performance and change AMD Radeon HD 6400 M-> AMD Radeon (TM) HD 6520 G, click Save... but the settings are not saved and the AMD Radeon (TM) HD 6520 G is not selected for the match (())

This happens not always, but often in the games and 3DMark2011.
Drivers for video cards are the last who are on the Toshiba Support site.

    Please help with this problem!

    Hello

L755D-11W uses the AMD Radeon HD 6470 M graphics chip.
So what GPU belongs to the Radeon HD64xx series and I don t think you could choose a series superior GPU (AMD Radeon (TM) HD 6520 G) in the properties of the game if the GPU is not supported.

1 of 3. Theoretically you can upgrade the processor as follows:

Processor Intel Core i7-820QM 1.73 GHz, SC turbo up to 3.06 GHz with 8 MB of L2 cache
and 1333 MHz front side bus (FSB)

Frankly I would not worth it. The workload and potential will weigh much more heavily in the balance than the gain of performance negigible. An SSD would be much easier and would provide even more performance gain in any other game.

The GeForce 230 M is the best graphics available in this series, so there is no motherboard better. Graphic design is not a replaceable but welded card to the motherboard. There is only one available for this model fan. Perhaps you could improve its performance with best chocks composed or perhaps thermal thermal but it's a cutting-edge engineering.

  • Satellite C70D - Has: game lag due to the graphics chip?

    Hello

I have laptop Toshiba Satellite C70D-A-11th week series 1.
Unfortunately, I'm at the moment not really satisfied with the image... game is lagging because my graphics.

My question is where you can find how much I consume the 4 GB.

And where can I put I consume more or less. Since then, it is a separable memory Yes.

My English is not perfect. hope someone understands.

    Please answer

    Hello

Well, I m wondering why you bought a device with a (inner part of the CPU) graphics chip if you want to use the laptop for games?

The laptop supports the AMD Radeon HD graphics 8400 which is part of the A6-5200 Quad-Core AMD processor.
This GPU is similar to Intel HD GPU, which is also part of Intel processors.

Such graphic internal cards are not really designed for a game of course, you would be able to run and play a game, but don t expect too much

  • How to check the graphics chip Radeon R5 M230 on Satellite L50D-B-11N?

    Hello!

I just bought Satellite L50D-B-11N, with processor AMD A6 (with the graphics chip of R4) AND R5 M230 in graphics card.

However, it is R4 'chart' that is used by default and I can't choose R5 "graphics card"!

Yet, I can verify that this is true now by Device Manager. I discovered R4 R5 AND under "Graphics cards", both enabled.

I tried in the bios setup, but I don't see anything on "graph CADS" and choice, anything under Windows8.1 by applications.

The video quality is good, but I would like to make full use of the performance of the graphics card R5.
    Please, how are going us?

    Thank you.

    Greetings from France.

    Hello

Processor AMD A6-6310 contains a graphics unit Radeon R4.
This GPU R4 is part of the CPU.
In addition the laptop was equipped with external graphics card AMD Radeon R5 M230 fueling more graphic. This is useful if it is to play some games or running high-performance graphics applications.

It s recommended to use the internal GPU if you run Notepad in mode battery (battery). This saves energy and reduces the internal temperature

To switch to the external GPU, right click on the desktop
In Catalyst Control Center Power, click on select Maximum Performance when it is plugged

Then in global settings of Switchable Graphics also choose maximize Performance

Then click on the switchable graphics Application settings
Now, you would be able to add an app (game) that could use this graphics card settings
Simply tap the exe of the game and add to the list of applications.
After that, you will see the exe file in the list. Click the graphics settings and set it to high performance.

You can also view youtube videos showing you how to switch between GPUS

  • HP 450: Is that what this laptop contains chart AMD?

    Hello
I recently bought a laptop which the model has been specified as a simple "450 HP".

So my question is, my computer contains AMD graphics?
I tried to install the AMD driver available on the HP site, but it has not been successful. (only intel HD4000 is displayed in Device Manager)

its basic configuration is the following:

    3230 M I5
    HARD DRIVE 500 GB
    4 GB OF RAM

It seems to be this one: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c03315510

But the processor does not match. one installed in the present is an i5, whereas the above specifications refer without exceeding i3.

While the specs mention chart AMD, and drivers are available on the website of official drivers HP450, all my attempts to install the supplied driver (downloaded from HP) failed.
(he never mentioned material missing. it says ' warnings occurred during installation. ") (please see newspaper"but does not have the button"view log")

    The intel driver installed fine.
In the device, under 'graphics adapters' Manager, is shown only the hd4000 intel.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello again,

    I found the following infromation.

    http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=E9L71PP

If your laptop has an AMD graphics card included there should be written here.

Unfortunately, your laptop does not use an AMD graphics card.

If I'm right you have this processor:

    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/72164/Intel-Core-i5-3230M-processor-3M-cache-up-to-3_20-GHz-rPGA

It is a chip Intel® HD Graphics 4000.

There is another option to determine if you have a graphics chip AMD!

You might find if available, the ID of the grahpics chip AMD hardware.

    (Use as reference only)

    http://www.WikiHow.com/find-hardware-ID

That the "View card" menu offers you more as a non-unique hardware?

    Drunks.

  • 14 t - k100 replaceable graphics?

I bought this laptop configured with Intel HD graphics base.  Is it possible to update the graphics with a discreet card or the motherboard doesn't support?

    Here is my configuration:

    Hello:

The series you have is not a graphics card "card".

He has a gpu chip, which is part of the motherboard and it cannot be upgraded or replaced.

The only way to improve the graphics would be to replace the motherboard together with support, which may have better graphics.

Needless to say that it would cost as much buying a new laptop with the graphic solution you are looking for.

  • Satellite A100-784: could I use driver Nvidia on the graphics chip Intel

    Hi all

I know that this particular laptop uses the graphic intel GMA 950. Why then were the nvidia drivers on my laptop as well during the installation of the OS (Vista Basic)?

I visited the Toshiba website for updated drivers up-to-date, and once again, I find drivers nvidia on the download page.

What day if I need to update the drivers graphics? Drivers Intels GMA, the nvidia drivers or both?

    Thank you

    Hello

You're right: this laptop uses Intel 945GM graphics card.
BUT it seems that Toshiba provides this A100 series with different graphics cards (Inel, nvidia, ati) and so the image of Vista includes 3 different drivers graphics: NVidia graphic driver, ATI and Intel graphics driver graphics driver.

But if you want to update the graphic card driver, you have to choose only the Intel driver package

  • Satellite L100-140: can I put another graphic chip?

    Hello! I have a question:
My laptop (TOSHIBA SATELLITE L100-140) is just on-board graphics chip, something like intel 945 m)
Now, I tried to play battlefield 2142, but it does not work. I think it's because my graphics chip is not compatible.
Is it possible to put another (like an x 300 laptop) graphics card in my laptop?

    THX, Hendrik

    Hello

No, it is certainly not possible to upgrade the graphics card.
As you say in you ad; It s an Intel graphics card edge (possible a sheared memory) and the chip is attached to the motherboard.

    Hello

I'm new to this Forum. I have read posts & am happy with the current 'Members' & administrators.

In addition, the connection is good to go join the site.

I joined other sites Forums & hardware supported, but had troubled the connections (see Asus).

Dell in India support is lame; real bad help.

In fact, I called Lenovo Service customer to inquire if English is the language first re. Supported, etc.

    before you buy Lenovo.

In any case, what comments can you do on this chip of grahics full: "what chipset is" I can visit Intel for

the data on it. model Sl500.

I'm not a 'gamer' so do I choose correctly save on the graphics upgrade option.

I "collect" data printed on the hardware of the computers I buy, I sell them after a few years.

the buyers appreciate some data, that is why I ask.

I can't wait to share the knowledge that I'm able to help with others.

    Best for you,

The GM45 chipset, I think.  The integrated graphic part is the GMA 4500MHD.

I'm a bit of a gamer and I tried a few games on my own so far.  I think the 4500MHD is quite reasonable.  He isn't a speed demon, but it's good enough to play more modern games with some details turned down.  It's much better than some of the previous integrated Intel graphics chips.

I wanted the dedicated graphics card, but couldn't afford it.  But I'll be able to live with the 4500MHD.
