What I discovered suddenly increased in size

I closed the lid of my computer laptop last night, and when I opened again later all the icons, fonts, windows and everything was great. I went the DPI setting and it is said this is the default format, but it's not.

I tried the system restore, but I got the following message whenever I tried: System Restore has failed. Your computer and setting file system did not change.

I also uninstalled the game, I had installed the day before. But between the time I installed the game and when this problem started I had turned my computer on and off several times and no problem occurred.

I also tried to customize - shows the settings and change the resolution bar but just everything is too small, including the text and icons and everything all square and unpleasant to look at.

How can I get everything back to normal?

Change the screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.

the file < SID > .log Alert is abrubtly increasing in size that is in process girls free disk space, so more no DB connection.

I stop the database, took a bakup of the alert log file, negated the alerts log (using cat/dev/null > alert.log) and started the database.

From now, its OK, but can I cancel this alert log file while the database is running. ???

    Hi Vicky,

Yes, you can... you can even delete the alert.ora file that has the database open: Oracle will recreate it just the next you will need to write to it.

  • VI suddenly increased file size

I got a main vi file size of about 160 KB for several days now. All of a sudden today after (maybe after slightly changing my sub-VI-not sure about that), the size of the master file of the vi has suddenly turned up 18MB! Why is this happen and how do I get that back to normal (if normal is fine)

In general, this happens if you set a value of contol to have a default value that contains a lot of data.  If you have a table control and set to have a default value that has been a very large painting, for example, LabVIEW to store everything that data within the VI.

Another possibility is including images on the flowchart Panel or front.

  • Increase the size of the disc + oracle datafiles

    Hi all

You can the I need stop DB before increasing free space disk or point editing BONE?

Not according to the versions of the OS?

Under what conditions can I increase the size of the mount point while the database is running

    Thanks in advance

If your operating system allows you to extend the file system with system taking down, then you do not have to stop the database. If it does not add disk space and the process should be stopped, then you need to stop database.

    People,

Hello. I use 3 Player VM and Guest OS Windows Server 2003. The host OS is Windows 7.

I just increase the disk size of Virtual Machine from 80 GB to 150 GB successfully. The next thing to do is to repartition the disk size of Guest OS Windows Server 2003 in 150 GB.

What are the specific steps to increase the size of Guest OS Windows Server 2003 disk?

    Thank you.

    Only, I tried start gparted-live - 0.7.0 - 4.ISO both gparted-live - 0.7.0 - 7.iso in VMware Player and had no problem in order to check the MD5SUM.

Attach the file vmware.log so we can see what is happening.

  • How can I change the font size of what I discovered in Firefox?

I would like to view all content in Firefox in a smaller font size. How to achieve this? Thank you!

    Hello
Have you tried the Firefox zoom feature? This initiative will increase the size of the web pages.

    • To make things bigger, press Ctrl and + at the same time.
    • To make things smaller, press Ctrl and - at the same time.
    • Pour reinitialiser to reset the size of return to normal, press Ctrl and 0 at the same time.

You can also use the NoSquint. Add on to change the zoom level by default for all websites at the same time. After setting your overall zoom level, you can still adjust the zoom on different sites.

    With the help of NoSquint:

    1. After installation of NoSquint, make sure you have the add-on bar displayed:

      • Click the new tab button ("+") or a box empty bar tab to the right of the item and choose the module bar on the shortcut menu.
    2. Click on the % in the bar of the add-on call site preferences, then click the global settings button, then the zoom tab.
      • You can experiment with sizes greater than 125%, but it is not recommended that you will more than 150%, unless you have a large screen high resolution.

If there are sites that are still a concern, feel free to post their URLs.

    Hi people,

I discovered that it cannot be changed or increased since its hard coded and seems that VMware is working on feature request increase in size for the temp space because there are moments where the BAND dump is partial because of similar space issues.

  • Increase the size of disk problems

I just upgraded from Fusion 4 to 5 in preparation for the upgrade of Windows 7 to 8.  When I initially installed my VM several months ago, I waited to invite me on the amount of disk space, I wanted to allocate, but he never did the installation.  He created the virtual machine of 20 GB (boring), which would work if Windows ever wanted to do an update and that you ever wanted to save a file to the virtual computer.

I used the Fusion to increase the size of the disc to 122 GB (I have over 600 GB available on my Mac) and it is distributed correctly and when I open windows the space was available on drive C.  However, when I discovered the virtual machine to the Virtual Machine in Fusion library it reads 20 GB.

After more than an hour of reading of the VMWare knowledge base, I found an article that said that I had to increase the disk using Mac disk utility; However, this option is disabled/grayed out for me.  Another article proposed a ton of utility downloads to do this and overall I am lost.  It would be completely avoidable BS if the installation would have helped clarify the size of my disk on the installtion of the virtual machine.  Alas, it's wasn't the case.

My question is does my windows hard disk shows 122 GB total space, but the library of virtual machines VMWare shows correct 20 GB and what can I expect if I start tyring upgrade to Windows 8 in terms of space?  Is there allocated 20 or 122 GB?

    Thank you.

IIRC A Windows 7 Virtual PC to a 40 GB in VMware Fusion 4.x by default however any default size one can always modify virtual hardware parameters before installing an operating system.  Anyway to increase the size of the virtual hard disk is a process in two stages, the first of which is made in the settings of the Virtual Machine's hard drive.  The second part is made with a 3rd party utility or the OS itself, when it is necessary and it is applicable in the case of Windows 7.

In Windows 7, just go to disk management and extend the Volume, he tries but a few seconds.

Note: Before performing any disk level operations such as this should ensure that you have a clean backup * of the entire Virtual Machine.

    =========

    * It is a known fact that Time Machine is not 100% reliable backing up/restoring VMS in all circumstances/conditions.  Also back up Virtual Machines via Time Machine of disk/time intensive and wastes a lot of space for something that may be corrupted and worthless time to restore it.  At least I would exclude the Virtual Machines with virtual machines and Time Machine shutdown, not suspended and VMware Fusion closed and then manually copy the VMS to another location, preferably on a different physical hard drive.  So keep the user data stored in the virtual machine saved out of the Virtual Machine on a regular basis in order to always have a backup of the current user data.  If you need to restore a properly saved by VM is not as common at least you will have a virtual working Machine and data user to go forward with when you find out your Time Machine backup of the virtual machine fails.

  • Discs ASM on EBS. Increase the size?

    Hello

My apologies if this is in the wrong forum...

In any case, I'm experimenting in the EC2 cloud. (After considerable bother...), I have a database of 11.2 oracle running with a pair of ASM starts. I decided to try and increase the size of one of my groups of disks.
I couldn't really find ' how - to of "on this subject so decided to jump in full. I took the following approach.

    Closing database
    Disassemble the asm diskgroup
detach the ebs volumes (there 6 in my diskgroup).
    snapshot volumes s3
create new larger volumes of the photos above.
    attatch the new volumes
-Here, the plan was to go back the asm diskgroup and finish.
HOWEVER... it really happened that way.

ORA-15017: diskgroup "RECON" can not be mounted.
ORA-15063: ASM discovered an insufficient number of drives for diskgroup "RECCE".

I kinda messed up with oracleasm, verification that he could see the disks etc., reload etc all without success.

I restarted the server and, Lo and behold, all my starts returned. With the new volumes. I was going to congratulate me when I noticed that the diskgroup was still the same size as before!
I tried a resizing of the disk group, but that did not help either.

    So, my questions are

    (1) how can I increase the size of the disks?
    (2) this valid approach is at all?
    (3) are there documents anywhere that tell me exactly how to perform this kind of operation?

    Thanks for your time.

Maybe it's too late but here goes...

ASM disk group can have volumes that differ in size.
Add new volumes to the existing disk group.
    rebalance
lower old smaller volumes that you want to resize.
    rebalance
old volume is now out of ASM and can be delt with at the level of the OS to make it what you want.

Repeat until all the old volumes have disappeared.

re - integrate the new volumes once they have been rebuilt.

All without interruption and ASM maintains all the data.

It works best if you have enough new larger volumes to take all the data on the old volumes where you can drop all the old volumes at the same time.

  • HP - 50g RPN - how to increase the size of the variable icon in the command screen in the RPN

    Greetings.

How can I increase the size of the icons 'F' keys for variables in the RPN command line window?

My reason for this is to be able to see the full name of the variable.

    Thank you.

Edit: Perhaps sizes of keys to function 'F' is what determines the size of the variable icon. Does this mean that it cannot be increased?

If you press SHIFT RIGHT and then press the ARROW KEY down, you can see more than 5 characters that are currently displayed for the softkey text.
