What image format should they be used as icons on Windows 8 files?

I want to change the folder icons in Windows 8 of Manila folders of other relevant icons.  I tried to use jpg, but it wouldn't take.  What format do I use as file folder icons?  And how can I change the picture that I have in this type of format?

I understand the 'how' change folder icons (see below); I am just wanting to use my own jpg image and don't know how.

Thank you.

How to change the folder icons:

a. right click on a folder that you want to change the icon

b. click Properties

c. click Customize tab

d. under the icons of the folders, click on change icon

e. choose an icon you prefer from the list of options, you get

f. click ok and apply

These are safe.

I thought I read it can use CD, DVD, but I want to know which would be the best choice.

Thanks for any help and any help is appreciated.

Honestly, an external hard drive would be a better choice. The difference between-R and + R/W is only + R is "Writable" and + R/W is "Re-Writable. If you intend to do periodic backups, go with an external hard drive... If you intend to make backups very little, consider DVD + R discs.

    Hello

You can try to remove unnecessary files or folders and check. You can also use the disk cleanup tool.

If you plan to install Windows 7, then you will need to free up more disk space. Also check if your system meets the minimum requirements of Windows 7 system.

  • What are the default programs to use to start a Windows Vista home Premium

Several programs are running at startup, what is the solution for this.

Should we indicate programs that must be in the start menu to the top

try to do a cleanboot following the instructions

Perform a clean boot Note if the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. This can make the computer unusable.

    1. Log the computer by using an account with administrator rights.
    2. Click Start

type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or clickcontinue.

    3. On the general tab, click to select the Selective startupoption, and then click to clear the Load Startup items check box option. (The box use the Boot file is not available.)
    4. On the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft services check box, and then click disable all.

Note Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

    5. Click OK, and then click restart.

our projects at the University were generally 80% design, 20% of coding - it was strange at first, but it produced a lot more code.

  • Using PDF as image format

    Hi, manage users

What is your opinion on the use of the graphics with PDF format when creating DITA content, as I'm not sure that a PDF is supported as the graphic format in DITA?

Reason for this is that I'm moving from using grapics with format (exported from cad) WMF to SVG, but I experienced some problems when you import graphics with SVG format in FrameMaker.

Sometimes it works, but not always, for example "the filter has encountered a problem and was able to complete the translation.

Also, I tried to check if the files are valid with the W3C online validator.

    Best regards

    Ronny

    Hi Ronny,.

I'm not an expert of DITA, but given that no one has replied yet, I'll try to add a little something.

I don't think that DITA cares about image format, but could your tool for creating and editing platforms. For example, FrameMaker can make a PDF file that you create, but I do not know if another XML editor would be like oxygen. Then for the publication, some formats may make a PDF (as another PDF) format, but a web browser could not (for HTML). Perhaps cares DITA or maybe the OT Toolkit can automatically convert image formats, but I'm not aware that one of these are true. An expert of DITA weigh.

About importing SVG, I also had problems with the import filter. I don't know if there is no response to this. I think FrameMaker SVG support is not very good. I tend to use WMF files because they are much more reliable, but still they cannot be rendered in a browser for my HTML output. So, I actually maintain the WMF PNG versions and all my vector art. I automation to manage this (macros) in Visio, conversion extension file when editing HTML, etc., so the overhead is small enough for me. This may not be the case with you, if. Overall, I think the real question is the problematic SVG support, which I don't believe you can do anything.

  • What format should I convert my MTS/M2TS videos for?

    Hello

Last Saturday, we (a group of 5 fans) filmed a full rock using consumer camcorders level festival.

Required time, I wasn't the one to import the images, it's a friend who uses Sony Vegas on Windows 8.

All the files he gave then to me (some 500GB) are in MTS/MT2S format (except the images of the GoPro being MP4).

Now, as FCPX does not include these files when Drag hit its interface, I have to convert them.

There will be a maximum of 7 parallel taken to cut the best time of.

I read that I could ideally be convert the entire batch in ProRes 422 format, but I fear that this film could end up cluttering up my word disc (a Thunderbolt of LaCie broken record, 2 / 6TB that can read the 350 to 400 MB/s).

I also read that I could work using the much lighter MP4/H264 format.

Now I would like to know what would be the most convenient... even if the final rendering must take days, it is always an option if I can save otherwise a bit of disk space and still works fine.

    Thanks for your advice.

My Council and I'm your producer or your accountant, is to invest to acquire the disk space (with adequate bus technology), you will need to work in ProRes422. You can also explore using the media of proxy, which is a workflow that I never studied.

You might need a way to exchange your project output so that your employees can see what is happening.

This project seems to have a lot of different people who is invested at a certain level, you can also backup and restore plan to protect their interests and yours.

  • Question: How can I format a DVD to use on the computer that they had already been used on a DVD recorder to disc progs TV one

Help please John Cheers

    Hi John;

What format are the programs being recorded in? Your medial player is probably missing the right codec. Usually, when this happens, you will get a pop up window in which Windows give the possibility to provide web support. If you click web support, a page opens that gives you the file format.

  • What format should my files?

before that I am committed to the purchase of this product, if I want to take a pre-existing song and break up into individual instruments so I can manipulate them (as in a remix of an existing song to store some items, but change or add others), what format should my file?  is it important?  Thanks in advance for any help you can offer me.

    richardk93343850 wrote:

I think I might have exaggerated what I really want to do. I want essentially to take existing songs and making them flow with the same beat that underlies each of them in a scope, a trail mix of several pieces. I know I should be able to adjust the tempo/BPM so that they are consistent, too, right?

So, if you think I'm capable of doing these two things with hearing, is there a certain file format that would be better than another?

Yes, you can do mixdowns which do quite easily - it is just a matter of butting places them on a track and adjusting how they go through. It is Visual and intuitive to do. And yes there are tools to change the speed of tracks, although it should be a little more careful with this, that the people are often very sensitive to changes in the titles they already know. The good news is that a lot of titles that are suitable for this kind of treatment are consistent in the choice of tempos, but with all these things, experiment a little will get you quite a long way.

As for the formula that you save the results in - it's actually not really a problem if you stick to the default values. The principle is quite simple; you mix the results down to the internal format of the hearing which is uncompressed wav files. Having done this, you can make a distribution of copy as an MP3 player if you want to. The reason to do it like that, is that whenever you create an MP3 file, you will lose information - in order to become an MP3 of an MP3 file is usually pretty bad news. And this also has implications for the way in which you build your tracks in the first place - try to not start with MP3s, but good CD imported directly or whatever. If you want to start with vinyl, then save as files wav, for exactly the same reason. Bottom line is that MP3 is a distribution format and not a production one!
