What is a fire Kindle?

What is a Windows product? If Yes, what? An apple product?  What, again? What is an ipad? Or itablet & what kind? An Android? WHAT is the beast? !!! I love him, but if he said what it was, I missed or can't remember.  Thank you, moonbaby

It is not a Microsoft or an Apple product. It is an exclusive Amazon tablet device - please see:

  • Why my fire kindle isn't able to cnnect to my network?

He was very well found with its Kindle Fire (my son) today he continues to throw himself off the coast.

If nothing changed on your network, try resetting (not all configurations, just a reset) your router. If something in the router has got itself in a 'twist', which is sometimes useful.

  • How to get rid of the arrow of fire Kindle?

Is there a way to hide the reduced options bar (the one with the arrow) at the bottom of the Kindle Fire? Even if I check "full screen" in the Air for the Android settings, the bar is always visible.

    Thank you.

When you are in full screen view, this bar is about 20 pixels maximum. When you are not using the full screen, it's about 60 pixels maximum. So, if it is thin, and you will see a small arrow, then this is the best you can get. Unless you're one of OS applications, in which case they can break the rules.

If it is a v28 or later, it is developed to fit the width of the screen with black bars top and bottom. Image PDF format allows to reduce pixelation. If it is a v27 or earlier, it will stay small.

  • Kindle hdx and Flash Player

Just got the new hdx Kindle and wanted to install flash player.   Was said to support, what it has available for Kindle hdx flash player.  Is it true.  What is the problem?  What can I do now?

Your tablet (Kindle or Galaxy) uses the Android operating system. Android went ALL support Flash technology in June.

Adobe has stopped ALL development of Flash for Android, last year. (July 2012) Which includes the Kindle, but also tablets from Samsung. Samsung and Amazon have also end support for Flash in ANY of their latest models of Tablet.

The following comes from Samsung Support (31/07/2013):

"Beginning August 15, 2012 we will use the configuration settings in the play of Google store to limit continuous access to the Flash Player updates for only devices that have already installed Flash Player. Devices that have not already installed Flash Player are more likely to be incompatible with Flash Player and will no longer be able to install from the Google game store after August 15, 2012. »

And taking care of the Kindle (31/07/2013):

"The browser silk Amazon Kindle Fire 1st generation supports some, but not all, versions of Flash. Adobe Flash is preinstalled on a Kindle 1st generation fire and is disabled by default.

If you see a message to install Flash while using your Fire Kindle, this means that the content you are trying to view using the Flash. If you want to view the content, you must enable Flash via the silk setting menu.

If a web page is suffering from slow performance because of the Flash, or if you are unable to view a web page with active Flash, we recommend to switch to mobile view when browsing a Flash-heavy site to see if that solves your problem:

Some popular Web sites may also have an application available. Check the Amazon Appstore, accessible through the application on your Fire Kindle library, to see availability.

"The browser web silk Amazon Kindle Fire of 2nd generation, Kindle Fire HD 7 '' and Kindle Fire HD 8.9 ' does not support Flash.

Some sites use Flash alternative web technologies in their mobile version. We recommend to switch to mobile view when you browse a Web site with Flash content to see if that solves your problem:

Some popular Web sites may also have an application available. Check the Amazon Appstore, accessible through the library of games or applications on your Fire Kindle, for availability".

    See: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions. html

There are earlier versions of Flash Player (for Android) at this link, but there is no guarantee that any of them will work.

  • DHCP of... work only half for win7?

    Hello

I have a very strange problem with my Windows 7 laptop at home.
Last night, I made two small changes to the configuration of my wireless router:
    (1) I turned off mac filtering
    (2) I changed the number of DHCP clients supported 6 to 10
    Saved, rebooted the area Wifi.

Subsequently my Linux thinkpad and some fire kindle... connected very well to internet and wifi. So, everything beautiful... I thought. And just to be precise: before that little change, all our computers had no internet access issue.

This morning my wife says... no internet on his windows laptop.

    So I checked:
    (1) DHCP seems to work - the windows machine is connected to our wifi; and his IP 192.168.0.100 - address I would expect... because only that a computer is online at this time.
    (2) I can open a cmd... and ping my wifi box window and the front door behind her (192.168.0.2 192.168.0.1 resp.)

As the windows computer is configured to use DHCP... sounds good; We can assume that DHCP works, and the windows machine is fully configured for internet access.

BUT... When I try to access internet... does not work.
Even windows itself tells me: no connection to the internet.

We started two other devices to check (my laptop and ipad)... and they have no problem with access to the internet.

    Thus, any idea, anyone?
