There is no simple way to determine this, as far as I know. You can start by looking at the patch log. One of the files that can be included in the patch will be a file "odf" or "xdf. They hold the object definitions. If one of these files is included in the hotfix, see if you can identify the name of the column in the file

  • What is the patch appropriate for Oracle 11 GR 1 material to Oracle 11.1.0.7 Solaris

    * Server RDBMS
    * Oracle database family

Can't make you it easy, because then you must forget that easily.

Start with, you can try to understand the difference between

    (2) different flavors of patch - one-offs, CPU, power supply

then the answer to your question should be as clear as the water (not the sands of decanting :))

The patch alone is enough - you don't need all the other facilities. PL follow the steps in the Readme of the fix.

  • What order to patch up my application server?

    Hello

I'm looking for advice on the ways in which patch up my oracle application server. It consists of the following:

    10.1.0.5 database infrastructure
    10.1.4.0.1 identity management
    10.1.2.0.2 intermediate layer

I would like to be able to perform critical fixes on these components, but for all, except the database, I think that the versions are too weak and may need some intermediaries first patching. Can someone give me the way to upgrade - order and patch versions - to apply to these components to bring them to the level where I can perform critical fixes for April 09?

    Thank you
    Adam

In general the order of correction is not important but take a look at the readme file of the patch group which has all the details. Here's the pointer for 10.1.2.3 Group of patches readme:

(MetaLink credentials for you need connect)

You can also take a look as a result of MetaLink notes for general information on peacekeeping 10.1.2:

From my experience these patches can be installed but are not essential for the good work system.
I downloaded a patch package regpatch - 20091111092833.zip and found in the file TosVolRegulator_x64.exe file.
It looks like a Volume of Toshiba control. Usually this software its share of value added package.
The other patch regpatch - 20091111092706.zip also contain a VAP patch/update info.
Regpatch - 20091111092447.zip is an Audio Patch
regpatch - 20091111092516.zip's Storage Configuration Patch

All this extra items included in the + Description + rank :)

  • Registry patches for Satellite A210

    Hello

I found two registry for the Satellite A210-103 patches:
-version 1.0 for "Storage Configuration Patch.
-version 1.2 for 'Registry Patch to devices and printers'

Someone knows what this registry patches do and how do I check the registry that the patches are installed.

    John

    Hello

As the name says those registry patches updates some of the Win 7 registry entries.
The registry patch 1.0 changes the entries for the Storage Configuration (drive, card SD etc.)
The registry patch 1.2 change some entries which are responsible for some USB devices
That's all what I know about these patches

However, if you installed Win 7 then it would be advisable to run the two patches.

    Welcome them

  • IronPort SSH Keys vulnerability patch

    Hello

customer is running WSA 8.8.0 - 085. In the web pages of upgrades available, we show the file "vulnerability cisco-sa-20150625-ironport Fix SSH Keys." When you try to apply it, web pages and the CLI, such as suggested by RN, it shows the patch as it has already applied:

Check if "Vulnerability Cisco-Ironport SSH Keys" patch is required
Patch 'Vulnerability cisco-Ironport SSH Keys' is already applied
    Facility upgrade is complete.

I think it's BECAUSE WSA has been upgraded after June 25, a release already includes this patch.

    Question:

-How can I be sure that SSH keys are ok?

-Why the patch stay in the upgrades available? Can I delete it?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Thanks for reaching out, here is the link that provide details around this:

  • Patch Oracle DB

On Oracle 11.2.0.4.0; Power supply 11.2.0.4.20 applied.

I received an email from support Oracle on January 2016 patch. I understand there are several versions of the patching - CPU, PSU, SPU, etc..

    (1) the vendor of the application that connects to Oracle DB recommended follow PSU. How can I know which one is the CPU or PSU?

    2) I have access to Oracle Support. No indication on how to make the determination on the Support of Oracle? Is Doc ID 161549.1 the correct documentation to follow?

On the Doc-ID 161549.1 it shows 11.2.0.4.21 and patch number is 22064588. However, if I click on the patch, there are replacement - 22272976 or 11.2.0.4.22 and / or 22310544 or 11.2.0.4.160119?

Edit: I found the Patch updates and security alerts what Oracle Critical Patch Update - January 2016 link which link to Doc ID 2074802.1 which connects Doc ID 854428.1 (for Patch Set Updates); that connects to Doc ID 756671.1 (to the database). In Doc ID 756671.1, it shows 11.2.0.4 current Patches recommended as 22378146.8 and others not listed above.

    Don't know what I'm missing.

    Please advise!

I read he said 'Generic platform' - this means that it can be installed on any platform and 32-bit and 64-bit?

    Please advise!

    Best regards

It is the same for 32-bit and 64-bit. 12.1.x release is a 32-bit application - and can be installed on the operating system 32-bit or 64-bit OS

  • Java 7 51 update patch?

Anyone know what the latest patch for 11.1.2.1 forms should be used with the update of Java 7 51?

I do not use any custom jar files just the Oracle provided those, but I get the missing required permissions error when I use the Java 7 51 update (update of 45 works ok).

Patch ID 17882900.  This is a complete set of patch and will rev your version to 11.1.2.2.  It includes the last jars as well as many other bug fixes.  This fix requires that WLS be patched to 10.3.6 If you don't have already done.
