  When you surf privately from navigation (firefox 20 and windows operating system 7), often (not always) click to see a video clip (YouTube for example) opens the non-private tabs. I need more of the mouse

  There is a bug with the Flash plugin (version 11.3 and older) on Windows 7, even in all the non-prive navigation, where opening a page with Flash media causes this window to move behind another window of Firefox - if no other page haven't used Flash in the past 3 minutes.   It is possible that the isolation between the private and non-private windows has compounded this problem, if each new window gets its own load of Flash, but I have not experienced with it all away to see if this seems to be the case.

• What happened to the tab "more" to open a new tab?

  I love being able to open a new page by clicking on sing the "plu" to the right of the last used tab especially handy when you copy a URL and want to paste in a new address. This leaves me only the option of writing on an existing open page.

  I also miss the dashboard tab sidebar (with t eh '+' as the last choice - the application does not work with this release of Firefox (don't know not what version because I don't know how - have generally 'help' or the 'about' tab.))

  You can only, I've switched back to FF, chrome, a couple of weeks and had been very happy with the speed (after discount) and the special features I found have now been deleted.

  Hi Ken, although there is no tab shape around the +, it should be in the same old place then the last tab, and if you pass your mouse over it, a form of small tab should appear. If yours isn't here, something is always customize the tab bar.

  There is a feature to automatically start Firefox in private browsing mode. It is a stealth mode, where white-mask-on-purple-tab does not appear on the title bar next to reduce, restore/maximize and close to the buttons.

  To see if you have enabled, you can see the Options page, Privacy panel:

  "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > privacy

  If the selection is set on "Firefox will: don't remember history" then automatic private browsing is enabled. To disable, change the selector on "conservation rules: use the custom settings for history" and then uncheck the box for always use the private browsing mode.

  Since your site web re: tabs on top-why this change has been made?

  The main reason is that it makes more sense. Tabbed below the tabs and controls have been grouped and page was separated. With tabs on top, that they are now all grouped together so that each tab has it's own set of commands.

  I think mention controls refers to the fact that the charging and star of bookmarks and the zoom icon if you use all clearly relate to the individual tab and the realignment that makes it easier to understand.

• What happened to the tab with the sign + to create an empty tab?

  I recently upgraded to v3.6 through several versions of Firefox v8.01. There was once a small tab with a sign more at the end of the tab bar that allowed me to create a new empty tab. It seems to have disappeared somewhere beyond v4.0

  What happened and how I get it back? Yes I know I can activate the button of toolbar for a new tab, but have it at the end of the tab bar is more natural to use.

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  What is the best way to determine where you the user navigated to a canvas/the new tab page when browsing does not by clicking on the tab of the canvas of the tab?   Many reference sites pull-down shown in older versions of FF. I can't find the sweater down in 8.01 and change has made many 'How to' articles on the Net... pointless not to mention navigate within FF.

  • Press F10, or press the Alt key to bring up the 'Menu Bar' temporarily if the menu bar is hidden.

• I use 'always use private mode', but does not work brwosing private by the window

  Using Firefox 42, did the restore thing and also tried the private tab addon. Nothing helps. I want to use it always use the option of private, however, mode 'new window' or 'private window' gives me a window where all of my connections are always active. I need to close Firefox and restart it to clean. Work on different windows independent one from the other is not possible, what is the opposite of what I'm trying to achieve. But I accept no cookies in the settings, anyway I don't think they should be available in a new private window. Any help? In fact, it smells very buggy for me.

  I even tried to go to the office and going to tools and clicking "Synchronize now". [read]

  What I may be missing here? This is the process I have to pick up tabs opened from the desktop on my Android device, tell me if I'm doing this wrong.

  1.) open a fresh instance of the app from Firefox
  2.) open a new tab
  3.) swipe over the history section
  Tap 4.) on the five points down, next to the clock to open the tab page

  The only thing I get is 'your recent tabs see here.'

  This leads me into the wall, so any ideas or a repair would take back my sanity. Thank you.

  There are two places. Press the three menu bar and there is an orange indicator that shows the tabs, a mask for private tabs icon then a synchronization for sync tabs icon. Tap on this icon and tabs of other devices should be there.

  On the desktop there should be on topic: sync-tabs. "Tabs from other devices" will be at the top of the page.

  Never heard of a case where you could do... However! I found an add-on rather orderly, that you can use to open a new tab in a private browsing mode.

  You can not. External links open via another program still open in a normal tab. However, you can make this private tab with an extension.

  Future versions of Firefox will support Private Browsing tab, it is already available in the extension.

  The Firefox menu button gets purple or you get a mask purple PB on bar menus or tab bar (Linux), if you are in a tab of PB and all tabs on private browsing mode get a dotted underline.
