What is compress = parameter y exp?

Hi all

Can anyone shed light on compress = parameter to y. Is it really compresses the backup?

The value default, COMPRESS = y, causes export table data to the Pavilion for the grouping in an initial measure during the import. If the extent sizes are large (for example, given the PCTINCREASE parameter), the allocated space will be larger than the space needed to store the data.

If you specify COMPRESS = n, export uses the current settings of storage, including the values of the size of the initial step and next step. The values of the parameters may be the values specified in CREATE TABLE or ALTER TABLE statements, or the values changed by the database system. For example, the value size measurement to address NEXT can be modified if the table grows and the PCTINCREASE parameter is nonzero

In analogy,.
Why you want to have all the books in the first tablet itself.
When it's OK to spread evenly across of all the shelves?
You want to save space?
Have you seen that in order to have all the books is the first Tablet
balooned OR grown in the fat.
before in the same place there is to say... 5 shelves. you have now 2 shelves
Furthermore, you haven't saved any space (General Ledger cash)? N °

intead now you have a large INTIAL shelf.
(above is just for example. Do NOT INTREPRIT these literally).

w.r.to oracle
Oracle calulates space currently allocated and used as size
the initial measurement of the object target.
consider
originally initial = 10 m = 5 m minextents = 6 next.
the segment size = 10 + (5 * 5) = 35 m
you export it with compress = y.
import it.
all extensions are merged into one.
you will see that,
initial = 35, next = 5 and minextents = 6.
segmentsize = 35 + (5 * 5) = 60 m
Now probably your import may fail, you cannot limit a segment of 60 m.

    AND is it OK to delete to free up disk space?

    Hi Janie,
    We need a bit more info here. What you saw and where (or how do you here). XP can compress old files when they were little used. These files must be stored somewhere, and I think that you have found where. Do not delete them. If you went on the cleaning disc in the properties of a hard disk, you see where you can disable this active or disabled, but turn it off takes more space because you don't compress these files more. It can take a long time to turn it off too much because the system must find every file, unzip it save it to the hard drive and do the following. If it runs out of disk space free of it, it will stop and make either but then your hard drive will be very close to full and your entire system will slow down (it takes a good amount of HD to 'play'.

    Looks like you need more disk space. Get another drive (expensive) or go to disk cleanup and try to compress the entire drive. It will take a lot of time, maybe hours or overnight depending on the working speed and the player. But it's free. Overnight is best. I think you can stop it (read the help on this). Do not turn It Off during the race. Bad move.

  • What is a "parameter of waveform dt < = 0' error?"

    I need to follow a signal square using a PXI-6221. Currently I use it to take a waveform of 500000-sample, which is then sent to "Extract information your unique" to find the frequency. The frequency is then written into a spreadsheet file.

    Initially, I used this VI with the PXI-6221 in a PXI-1000 b with a PXI - 8156B controller. The VI I had written to perform the above tasks has been saved as a LV 7.1 executable. There is no error while running VI and the frequency of approximately 3 kHz was estimated to about 20 Hz. Then, I decided to use the exact same VI and map in an SMU-1065 chassis using a MXI-Express for PC bridge. Of the shot, if I used a LV 7.1 exe or even VI saved under 8.6, 8.0, or 7.1, it gave me the same error whenever the VI reached the point where it had to assess the frequency of the signal: ' dt waveform parameter<>

    -PXI - 8156B is a processor 233 MHz running under Win.NT.

    -The PC is a relatively new model running on Win XP.

    -When I access the PXI-6221 test panel and manually run the test, I see a set of square waves appear on the chart as expected.

    -L' exact same error when I replace it with a PXI-6259 for PXI-6221.

    -The voltage of the signal moves between-5 and 0 V.

    -When an analysis of different frequency VI is used the same problem occurs.

    You have no frequency clock value.  When your VI runs, the waveform in the half superior as a dt value of zero.

  • Using the QUERY parameter in exp/expdp

    Hi, I've faced a nite last question.
    IM currently using Oracle 10 g (10.2.0.4) OS - MS Windows Server 2003

    I want a dump of tables to export multiple schemas. say (acb.m1, pqr.b2, xyz.b1)

    Each table has a minimum lines of 2,000,000,

    And I want to just the initials 10 rows in each table of export

    Is it possible that I can do this...

    Please answer.
    Thanks in advance

    Export tables in multiple schemas is not supported in Data Pump until 11.1.0.7. So if you're on 10g, you will need to run multiple commands expdp. For only 10 lines of each table, use the query parameter

    Query = "where rownum"<>

    This will apply to all the tables you export.

    I hope this helps.

  • Set the string for LabView dll parameter

    Hello

    I created a simple vi LV 2010 (departure vi), which reads the identification of an oscilloscope. Then I take this vi and incorporate it into a dll of LabView. I have test the dll calling LabView (RunFrom dll). Basically, it seems to work, but len and ReadBuffer back empty. It must be in the way I'm configuration configuring the setting for Readbuffer (settings) in the configuration of the dll. I tried several different configurations, but nothing seems to work. Any help is appreciated!

    What is the parameter len?  Normally, you should only set the length of the string, but it seems that you did not do this.  Also, you're passing len by value, and not by reference, so the function is expecting her to be a starter and you will never get return a different value to any value that you provide.

    Do not use a local variable of the ReadBuffer for entry "readbuffer".  You must pass a string initialized long enough to contain the expected quantity of data.  The best way to proceed is to use the array to initialize to create a table of U8, then use the array of bytes to a string.  Set the parameter 'minimum size' to 'len' then run through the length of the string initialized (this is not mandatory but is recommended).  If you need the length obtained output, add another indicator and another parameter to this value.  There might be a way to do it with one by len parameter passing by reference, you need to experiment (it is certainly feasible in C but I don't know if allows him to LabVIEW).

  • Under disk cleanup, there is an option to compress old files

    Under disk cleanup, there is an option to compress old files.  Office folklore says that problems come from compressing the files.  Mythology like that change slowly and often does not upward with the reality.  What is the current conventional wisdom on all dangers associated with compressing files?

    Personally, I don't compress files and probably never - if necessary, I'll just get a bigger hard drive (or another hard drive or an external hard drive).  As long as compress you only the correct files (not your files start or something like that), I guess it is quite - safe, but they take longer to open - not much, but some and depends on the size (they need to decompress) practice is always a risk, when something like this as a form of bribery occurs (which is us back to the old mythology (, but the risk is generally considered a minimum and I do not want to exaggerate - but there are).

    Opinions vary among experts and you'll get to the other end of the spectrum.  Some will tell you it is perfectly safe and a good way to save space on your hard drive.  Others take a middle path, and say that they are not positive, but think it's safe, but acknowledge that there are exceptions.  You can see some reactions like the one posted here.  As I said, I personally willnever do (with the exception of some files can I compress for e-mail or because he is great and I expect never to need again, or for other reasons - but they would have been individually selected and completed for a purpose {and using a different program]).  I mean I would never use the option of the files old drive generic cleanup compress to do a little overall with no individual selection (and when I do it with an individual file, it is rare - I probably didn't do so in more than a month - and to be perfectly honest, when I compress a file to send by e-mail I have everything first make a copy and compress the copy and keep the original uncompressed).  I have also seen here situations where people have compressed their files to start with virtually everything else, and this caused them a lot of grief - this isn't an easy repair process and the system does not boot with compressed files (I don't know how they did it-I just saw the messages, but no unread discussions - but if there is no chance that the compression of disk cleanup) been involved (and I'm not, but I did not read how it happened and so I guess it's possible), then it's just another reason for me to stay away).  As you probably now, I don't really have confidence the process (maybe I still have some as old folklore Office in me as I've been around when firstly, he came out and got all these problems) and would rather spend the money on a large or second hard drive what to compress my old files.  I prefer not to take any chance that I don't have in my data which are valuable for me.

    The process is availalble and is generally considered reasonably safe when used properly - but not a lot of experts I know do.  It is MUCH safer than when it came out.  When suggest us ways to save space on the drives for those who have little space and do not want to upgrade or get a new one, it is rare to see someone suggest compression as one of the options (I never do).  We suggest many other alternatives, but I never see this option underlined or specifically suggested (although it may be included as an option in the process we propose you like disk cleanup - and I don't specifically discourage its use is if you heard what I'd say if specifically requested).

    In the end, the decision is yours.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • What is the real difference between the card and the ORDER of the member functions?

    Hi all

    According to the documentation http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28371/adobjbas.htm#CHDFGJFB

    Control methods make comparisons of direct one-to-one object. Unlike the methods of the card, they cannot determine the agenda of a number of objects. They simply tell you that the current object is equal or less than the object that it is being compared, based on the criterion used.

    A method of control is a function of an object ( SELF ), with a declared parameter that is an object of the same type. The method should return a negative number, zero, or a positive number. This value means that the object (the implied no said SELF parameter) is less than, equal, or greater than the declared parameter object.

    I still can't find all the differences between them. Because the documentation said that makle methods to ORDER one to an object comparisons. However, you can also do it with the map member function the (as illustrated below). Can someone clarify this please?

    create rectangular type is object
    (
    number of width,
    number of height,
    Order member function camparison (r rectangular) return number
    );

    create or replace type rectangular body is
    order member function camparison (r rectangular)
    Return number
    is
    Start
    If (self.width + self.height) > (r.width and r.height) then
    Return 1;
    elsif (self.width + self.height) < (r.width and r.height) then
    Returns - 1;
    on the other
    return 0;
    end if;
    end;
    end;

    OR

    create or replace the rectangular type is object
    (
    number of width,
    number of height,
    card camparison return number of member function
    );

    create or replace type rectangular body is
    map member function camparison
    Return number

    is
    Start
    Return self.width + self.height;
    end;
    end;

    For the two I use the following block of code right? So, what is the difference?

    Set serveroutput on;
    declare
    rectangular rect1;
    rectangular rect2;
    Start

    rect1: rectangular = (3, 5);
    rect2: rectangular = (4, 8);

    If rect1 > rect2 then
    dbms_output.put_line ('rect1 Büyük');
    on the other
    dbms_output.put_line ('Büyük rect2');
    end if;

    end;

    My 2nd question is: in the function member order what is the parameter reference? When we compared how it corresponds to?

    camparison of Member (rectangular r) function order

    When comparing the two objects is the function parameter is the object of the comparison sign right?

    If rect1 > rect2 then

    Thanks in advance

    Order compare 2 objects.

    Card returns a value that can be used to control any number of objects.

  • parameter 'installVector' in HKCU\Software\Macromedia\FlashPlayer\FlashPlayerVersion

    Hello!

    I find interesting feature (?): flash drive in brunch of the HKCU\Software\Macromedia\FlashPlayer\ register in the field FlashPlayerVersion gave ' 18.0.0.209 ~ installVector = 2.

    My fries has ' 18.0.0.209 ~ installVector = 1 ". I google it and I saw " 18.0.0.209 ~ installVector = 8 "

    Please, can you explain to me what it means parameter 'installVector'?

    HI jennyl4944394,

    This parameter is simply the installation method used to install Flash Player.

    If the record in your post output is correct, you have an old version, no guarantee of Flash Player installed.  There is a certain releases since 18.0.0.209 was released. It is recommended to upgrade to the newer, more secure, version 19.0.0.226.

    Most of the measurements taken by the plugins is provided by the
