  You asked the best video card for the GX 620 minitower then this would be the HD 6670 or 7750 HD.   Apparently, you do not have any dedicated now video card.  If we have linked is too heavy, you will need to give us an idea what you can spend.  Your will does not get a lot for less than $50.  If all want them you want, you can get a HD 6450.  I got one on ebay for $32.

  HP released a list of HP OEM video cards that will work in the h8 - 1280t.  Look at these specifications.

  The HP h8-1280 is since over 2 years and I don't expect HP to post additional updates.

  If you are having problems with the graphics card no - HP OEM then ask the manufacturer of the video card for redress.

  I must say that I'm quite disappointed with this PC.

  Unmatcheted RAM 4 and 2 gig from different suppliers.

  I found myself buying little ram Corsair.

  Memory locations only 2 and thus limited to 8 GB of ram

  And now a pathetic videocard poorly matched to the APU and piddly 300 Watt power supply.

  Never another product from HP... NEVER

  This will be the most expensive way to buy a PC

  Shame on you, HP and the glib and slick sales guy.

  Cgrech79, welcome to the forum.

  New video cards require the UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS / Legacy.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid - October, 2012.  Your motherboard may not be upgraded in the UEFI.  The last video cards that does not need UEFI were 640 gt.  The PCI Express slot is 1.0 unless it is specified otherwise.  The version 2.0 and 3.0 are backward compatible.

  I suggest that you determine the video card from the manufacturer that you want to buy and contact their Technical Support to help you choose the best card for your motherboard.

  You need to upgrade the power supply (PSU), also.  The current PSU is 250W.  Most newer cards require at least 400W to work properly.  I love Corsair products.  I recommend that you buy a power supply at least 500W.

It has been well over a month now and I get freezes and flaws that were not there when the Apple RAM stock has already been installed.   As you can see here, your MBP can, indeed, support for 16 GB of RAM. However, DIMMs must meet Apple specifications which are often much more demanding that really meant DIMMS for PC can meet. One of the advantages of buying from OWC (in the link) is that they provide 100% support so their products need to be designed with the Mac in mind. If you have no problem with DIMM Apple, but you do with Corsair DIMMS, I would say getting them replaced or, better yet, to get a refund.

  You certainly have a Narra5 motherboard and now it seems that the HP Web site reflects that. Most of the HP quality consumer computers automatically detects the discreet graphics card in the PCI x 16 slot and disable the integrated graphics card that are on board. That is, if you plug a PCI x 16 slot... graphics card you no longer able to use the ports of the integrated graphics card. Finally, please check that the Sapphire HD 6850 will not be too long.
