I want to know what entry # and details entry appears in the event log when a user compresses its C:\ By car

There is none. But if you compress ntldr in the process you will certainly get an unambiguous error message when you restart the computer.

is it possible to tell when the DB is down. Yesterday we had a power outage in our data center, and he took down one of our servers. PLS, try this. I had to check the same thing on one of our boxes of customer not having access unix and I've used the below to find. It worked for me.
(version 10.2.0.4)

SELECT SCN_TO_TIMESTAMP (TIMESTAMP_TO_SCN (startup_time)) 'DB downtime', startup_time "DB-startup time" OF v$ instance

Install Error 1935 in the event log when trying to manually install the KB954430

Vista Home Premium 32 German

Automatic update of Vista tried every day to install the fix KB954430 (MSXML Core Services 4.0 Service Pack 2).

To resolve this problem, I tried one of the suggestion of many to install this fix manually.

So I downloaded msxml4-KB954430 - deu.exe Microsoft.com and all first I removed the patch, then I did a reboot and then I started the installation as an administrator.

During the installation, I got the error in a message box:
"During the Assemblierungskomponente {DA656E4D-45B9-3659-A06B-D6B9ABF34537} ein Fehler aufgetreten ist der installation. HRESULT: 0 X 80073715. »
= during the installation of the component assembly... an error occurred...

After a click on the ok button, the installation was cancelled.

The event log entry:
Product: MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB954430) - Fehler 1935. During the Installation der Assemblierungskomponente {DA656E4D-45B9-3659-A06B-D6B9ABF34537} ist ein Fehler aufgetreten. HRESULT: 0 X 80073715. VB6 DLL is not log messages in the Windows Server 2003 event log when it is called from an ASP page

Hi all

I have an ASP web application, I will create a "VBModule1" (VB6 Dll) instance of an ASP page and inside this method of "VBModule1" I create an instance of another VB6 Dll 'VBLogger', who calls App.LogEvent () to write messages to the event log.

I tested the Web application on the develepoment (XP) machine and everything worked fine but when the user runs the Web application on the Production Server (windows server 2003) events are not saved.

Friend missing the security settings of my ASP web app that needs to be configured on Windows Server 2003 for VB6 DLLs logging events?

Please think as soon as POSSIBLE.

Problem with the archive log when you use RMAN for backup and restore (11g 2)

I'm just beginner in Oracle Database (11 g 2). Today, I had a problem, I tried to back up and restore my db by RMAN. I delete all the files in /u01/app/oracle/oradata/orcl / * , then I restore them easily, but the point is I have a table, I can restore Hungarian, but cannot restore anything ranks in it (something wrong with step restore database). I'll tell the detail below.
-First, I create a 'Day' with command table create table hr.day (varchar (20)) day. Then I backup complete by this:

If i ignore it and open the database, just my table in full backup come back but rows was not restored. I'm sure the problem is my archive log backup but i don't know how to solve it. Plz help me.

You can not change the address, it will always be [email protected]. We cannot impersonate the real sender.

Currently, I am the filling of a number of unique product in a table column by using a call sequence to generate the new number. For different products, I have different sequences and in my PL SQL code usiing IF... Else block I fill the serial number for different products. For a sequence more selling product, we reach a Max value in the production in one month and ensure that the application continues to run properly for the different end-users without getting any error on their screens, I want my code to automatically switch to the new sequence. I just need to add another if condition but my problem is how to find precisely when the maximum value is reached in old sequence.


As the call to the old sequence can occur in different sessions he could be inconsistency and can be found in the error. My new sequence value must begin with AV1000. Please suggest.

What brought this?
During this time, I was getting a rash of warnings of 1530 open handle.
During my attempts to fix my account, I get the occasional errors of 1533: 'Windows cannot delete the directory [account]. This error can be caused by files in this directory that is used by another program.  DETAIL - the directory is not empty. »
Are these signs of malware activity?
There was also warnings of failure to notify events profile 1534, which could explain why I had no warning of this problem. These imply that the user profile Service does not work properly?

Here are the steps:

Create a new admin account.
Log in under a non-administrator account.
Try running msconfig.exe. You will face a challenge of UAC.
Use the newly created admin account to respond to the challenge.
This process will create the registry key and the profile for the admin account folder.
Open a session under the new admin account. It should work.
Downgrade the new admin account if you wish.

I have a powershell script that runs every 60 minutes on windows2003 server.  Currently, it checks the % free on data warehouses, and if a threshold is reached, he sent an e-mail to our business team to take control measures.  This procedure of e-mail is not suited for them, but they have a mechanism where they can monitor the event on the win2k3 server log tracks script, and if a specific event log are created it will be picked up and the necessary action can take place. 			 By default, event viewer produced a considerable number of newspapers.
The four elements of the menu in event viewer bar are file, Action, view and help.
Clear a log only appears in the Action menu of drop-down menu if the cursor is placed in a newspaper that can be erased and a report in the list is not currently selected. So if it is placed on the option Windows logs clear a log is unavailable, while "subject of a report in a folder under five is not selected, the option clear a log is available."

The three main Windows logs files are Application, security, and system. The default file for these logs size is 20, 480 KB, which is larger than necessary. A reasonable size is 2 048 KB. You can easily change the size immediately after clearing the log by using the scrollbar to the right of the maximum log size to change whatever size you choose. In the same time make sure that the box before overwriting is checked. All of your changes by clicking apply then OK. If you have not disabled the first newspaper the system prevents the selection of a maximum file size less than the size of the existing file.

The system records the entries in the logs. The system monitors everything that happens. Individual applications do not write entries in the Event Viewer logs. It's the system that records the entries on startup applications, stop and crashing!
