    I was wondering if there is a way to block the worksheet tabs so that when you click on and dragged, they create a new window?

    I think it happens to all of us, and as said on other occasions, the behavior of the tab is very frustrating: you cannot rearrange easily inside the same window and they will accidentally closed by clicking the x on the sleeve instead.
    Unfortunately, this behavior is inherited by the framework JDeveloper, where sqldev is built on. Up to now, sqldev team rejected our requests for improvements in this area. Maybe if you knock on the door of JDev developers?
