What is "quick fix engineering"?

Dear Sir.
in the "driverupdate" info I can find drivers "quick fix engineering": what they mean and does it download them? I use Tecra M2 XP pro SP2 and have automatic windows update
Greetings
Reg weekx

Hi, Renaud,.

Hope you are well. The Quick Fix Engineering elements are actually patches from Microsoft. They are the same ones that you will receive the installation of Windows Update.

If you have automatic updates configured then you will not need to download them from the Toshiba site.

Best wishes

As many other users I received this email today from Thoshiba with a link to a driver download. Unfortunately, they provide no additional information about the pilot. See here:

(It is not in the downloadable zip file is.)

So, nobody knows what it is? I'm not going to install something on my computer that has not been explained or certified in advance...

    Hello

The Quick Fix Engineering are updated by Microsoft and that you will find on the Microsoft Web site.
But all the drivers, tools and Quick Fix Engineering are also pre-installed in the image of Toshiba.
This image that you can find on the Toshiba Recovery CD.

I was wandering why some of the quick Fix Engineering published by Toshiba refer to problems in October 2003? for example, the most recent for my satellite a50 is http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_driver_details.jsp?ID=29405&OSID=10&drive rLanguage = 13 & selectedLanguage = 13 & driverCountry = 41 & selectedCountry = 0

    Hello

I put t know exactly how old is your device, but I know that at this moment, there is no SP2 and your device comes with SP1. Image designed for the contents of your device in a large number of QFES. As Tom says if you want to install Windows XP Home edition, you will probably use SP2. In this case, it is not necessary to install all QFE Toshiba site because they are already included in SP2. As you know, after installation of SP2, your device will be updated automatically.

  • Question about Quick Fix Engineering on Satellite M40

    Hello people,

I have a toshiba M40-145 and my problem is simple, Toshiba Download Center have many versions of Quick Fix Engineering, just install the latest version?

    Hello

All software listed on the Toshiba download page are pre-installed in the recovery image. As a previous user, I've never installed all the patches listed just installed SP2 and after this review, the unit with Windows Update option in internet explore. On this time, you save a lot of time.

Each time the installation and the configuration was successful.

  • When you open Photoshop CS6 I used to get what I called a 'quick fix' screen - how do I get it back?

It was a predominantly white background with sliders for exposure, highlights, shadows, midtones and so on which makes it very easy to quickly bring a raw photo to the height to determine if it is usable or not.
For some reason, that the program has now started opening in what I think is the standard appearance with a mostly black background and the menu in the upper part, which was what I got when closing down the screen of "quick fix", and I've used for more complex things like pixellating and so on.

I've obviously changed something in the settings somehow but I don't know what it is and would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction?

    Thank you, Simon

NEF or Nikon files Camera Raw once converted to png, does not open in Adobe Camera Raw. Only ships, jpegs, and tifffs can be opened in ACR,

If you convert a nave in png, you can not convert in nave, so it's out of the question.

If you open Bridge and see a tiff or jpeg, Cmd or Ctrl r it will open in Camera Raw.

Then maybe bulk convert these png jpeg or tiff, then open them in ACR.

Can someone me pointing in the direction of a page that documents what is included/fixed in the new BIOS?

Relative to the European Toshiba I site didn t find descriptions on renewals of BIOS.
But I visit the United States Toshiba site and found some information.

Visit this site and chose-> downloads
He chose the Portege M400 and go to driver downloads.
The first should be BIOS 2.1. If you click the BIOS 2.1, you'll see the entire history of renewal.

But I do not know if the BIOS since the US site is the same as that on the European site of m.

  • What is a tween engine? I know basic scenario animation and generally make the web banner ads.

What is a tween engine? I know basic scenario animation and generally make the web banner ads. Can I learn more about without being an ACE pro?

I think they are third party plugins and reduce the size of the interpolations. Is it simple? Old school? Is motion guide, a better way to tween than that?

Tween engines are collections of code used to create animations.  Examples of tweening engines would be TweenLite, Tweener, Tween Max, and I suppose there are others (not sure if Tweener is still there).  Flash has a built-in tweening engine called the Tween class... so it is something that you could start by just to get a taste for working with interpolation coded instead of the interpolation of the timeline.

Since 'Interpolation' only research will probably show versions of the timeline... I suggest Google search using terms like 'Flash tutorial class Tween' to get some information on using the Tween class.  Once you have an idea of what it does, you might prefer to go the engines of interpolation of third parties who are supposed to be better performing implementations.

  • Quick Fix for more questions to eFax (Photosmart 7510 & Envy 110/114)

    Problems resolved by the patch:

    • Cannot send eFaxes
    • Cannot receive eFaxes
    • Cannot connect to the eFax on the front panel of the printer.
    • Cannot save eFax on the front panel of the printer.
    • Trying to access with eFax, it says that the printer is not connected wireless.
    • Trying to access with eFax, it asks that you activate web services before continuing.

    The fix:

First, press the ePrint button in the upper left corner of the screen to your printer to access the menu of Web Services.

Once there, press the button "settings".

If printing is turned on, turn it off and then back on. Press the return key, then press 'Print the State'.

If ePrint is off, turn it on. Press the return key, then press 'Print the State'.

These steps may seem strange given that the problem is with eFax and eFax works on printing via ePrint service.

If this fix does not work for all of the questions listed above, the problem is probably related to something else. Let me know what problem you are having in this thread and I will do everything I can to get all this work for you.

  • The task manager has been disabled by the administrator. Is there a quick fix?

Using Widows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 3

    Fast enough

If you see things like this:

You do not have sufficient security privileges to restore your system.
The System Restore tab is missing from the my computer properties.
System Restore has been disabled by group policy.  To turn on system restore, contact your domain administrator.
The System Restore tab is available, but the turn off System Restore (disabled by Group Policy) box is grayed out.
The task manager has been disabled by your system administrator.
The registry editor has been disabled by your system administrator.
The task manager has been disabled by group policy.
The registry editor has been disabled by group policy.
The command prompt has been disabled by your administrator.  Press a key to continue...

The usual advice are something in the sense of "something has been disabled in the group policy...". ", and it is probably true that something has been disabled, but you know what something is and what it takes to do about it.

If you are using XP Home Edition, you will get away with advice to use the Group Policy Editor, since it has no Group Policy Editor in XP Home and only
really does not tell you where to look in group policy, even if you run the Group Policy Editor.

You need a complete solution that works for all versions of XP and requires no hunting around in the Group Policy Editor or registry to find where things are that have been disabled.

Unless you have disabled these things on purpose, chances are good that your system has a malware infection.  The malware knows what tools you use to try to find and remove, for the malware disables the things you are more likely to consume and prevents them from running if you can't find the malware and remove it.

If your system has this kind of affliction, all malicious software tools you currently use or have used failed to protect your system so that you can expand your horizons malware detection and prevention to prevent these kinds of afflictions in the first place.

The malware will be happy you trick into thinking that you need to so something drastic to fix your system - as a facility repair, system restore point or a total reinstallation of XP.  This is what it would be like you, but these measures are not necessary.

You must solve the immediate problem of the tools does not, then scan your system for malware when you are finished.

No matter what kind of malware you've used analytical tools, they are unlikely to solve this problem, because they cannot tell if the changes made to your system have been on purpose (you or an administrator who makes them) or some malware changed them, so the analysis tools will let these things alone (it's usually a good thing).

If your system is afflicted in this way, there are probably other things that also do not work - like the registry editor, System Restore and the command prompt, so fix them all at once even if you have not discovered they are broken again.

These commands from registry removes the registry entries that are stop opening programs.  Although the registry entries do not exist, these commands are safe to run and will work for all versions of XP.

Before making any changes to your registry, back up the registry with this free and popular tool:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/ERUNT.html

Open Notepad to create a new text file:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

Click OK to open a new Notepad file.

Copy and paste the following lines of text into the new Notepad file.

Save the new text file with extension .reg on your desktop or somewhere you can remember with a name you remember.
    something like:

    enableit.reg

After you save the file, close Notepad.

Locate the file enableit.reg on your desktop and double-click it.

Alternatively, you can right-click on the enableit.reg file, choose open with... and select the registry editor.

Answer in the affirmative to the question... Are you sure you want to add the information in the registry?

You should then see a message that information has been registered in the register.

    Reboot your system and test.

You can delete the enableit.reg file when you are finished.

If the registry editor has also been disabled, we first fix (not a problem)

  • What is Mr. Fixit?

Whatever it is, it does not work.

Because many people are uncomfortable with following unknown directions on the inner workings of Windows, especially when these guidelines involve not to modify the Windows registry, Microsoft has developed a number of solutions for common problems.  Microsoft calls these solutions 'Fix it' (not ' Mr Fixit') and all the links are grouped in the Microsoft Fix it Solution Center.

So when you complain that "Mr. Fixit" does not work, no one knows what your problem may be because you have not identified who the correct solution you have tried, where you found the link to him (often in a Microsoft Knowledgebase atticle), or what you were trying to fix.

Although the fix it solutions work for common problems, they do not work for all possible situations.  If you found a solution it in an article in the knowledge base, you may be able to understand things using the part "Let do me it myself" article.  If this isn't the case, you will have to describe what your problem is and don't forget to report any error completely, without paraphrasing.

You also need to identify which version of Windows you have, including service pack and if hardware devices are affected by the problem, make sure to include the make and model of devices and how they are connected to your computer.

  • What is the rendering engine used for the window of "Design"?

Hello, I was wondering what is the engine used in the Design tab?  Also, can someone explain why I get two completely different from my Web page rendering when I switch to the mode live view? I don't talk a small change here, Im talking about my div will be perfectly aligned when using live view, but when im not they are all jumbled up, on top of the other and some on a distance where he was a foot.  I ask these questions because I spend with my CSS then I check the page in some browsers, it looks real smooth and not really difference between Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer 8, and Safari. But Opera and IE6 and 7 all rendered looks jumbled up, stacked and moved as when I'm not 'live view' mode in dreamweaver. It's just my divs that give me problems in these browsers, and when im not in live view mode in dreamweaver.

Design view has never really had a rendering engine.  Is to guess the code, more of a literal read in quirks mode.  The Live View mode is rendered using the Webkit engine in Chrome and Safari and can replicate with some degree of accuracy of the display that you would expect in these browsers.

Only way to tell the differences would be to see your code.  But I will suggest first run your page through the validator and repair to the top of all the errors that may exist:

  • What type of search engine is it?

I looked around a new driver and saw this search engine and thought it would be a great addition to a site I'm working on, just don't know what kind it is or how to do it. http://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

A point in the right direction would be appreciated.

    Thank you

No, a menu of rerouting is used for navigation. You must use JavaScript to do this, really. Choosing an option in the first selection box should trigger a JavaScript function which (a) make an AJAX call to the server, or (b) to read existing JavaScript variables. It would take this data and use it to fill the second box selection, which may then trigger another JavaScript function call.

If you click on "View source" on the page, you should be able to see all the items used to create the form.

  • With the current caveat regarding internet explorer, your search engine 'google' is safe? If this is not the case, what would the search engine more safe?

Same as above. I am concerned by the help of internet explore right now. I would like your answer.

Firefox is a browser, not a search engine. Also, Internet Explorer is a browser, not a search engine. Google is a search engine (even if they make a browser called Chrome). Firefox is more secure than Internet Explorer, and you should consider moving to this full time. But Google is just a search engine used by Firefox to help you better use the internet and has nothing to do with the security of Firefox in general.
