What happens to my windows recovery 7 (d) when I do a "clean install" to win 8
What happens to my windows recovery 7 (D
on my HP Pavilion p6610f PC when I perform a "clean" Windows 8 install?)
"Nothing happens" to the "D:\". "Partition recovery, except if you choose to delete or format during the installation of Windows 8. Note, however, that you will not be able to use the recovery directly from the screen of the BIOS partition / boot and inside Windows 8. Some have been able to 'mark' the 'active' partition and restart that should cause the system run the Recovery Manager. Your best bet is to make sure that you create your HP recovery disks prior to installing Windows 8.

What was the version Windows of chown and chmod?
I just moved a few screenshots of the admin 'my images' in the folder (shared) of all users using the command line. However, they are always established are only readable by the administrator. I don't remember the files that are now (if I have a good guess).
What would the equivalent windows of the Linux command
CHMOD 777 *. *
aka
chmod a + rwx *. *Yes, I could go through each file one at a time, but I got an error trying to select all files in the directory, so I could assign this permission en mass. I want to assign full control to "everyone", "users" or "authenticated users" (don't care really, as they are for most screenshots that I downloaded for twinkle to post on public boards like that).
I could have sworn there was something like that, but it could have been only for server 2008R2. I don't remember when I first heard of him. The files are on a rugged laptop running Windows XP Professional SP3.
If it is only for the server or Vista/7/2008, could you post anyway so I can use it with my office in the future?
The equivalent command in Windows XP is "Cacls. The equivalent command that you describe could be accomplished by:
Cacls *. * / t/e/g everyone: f
where the "/ t" repeat in subdirectories.
See also: "CACLS": <> http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb490872.aspx >
The following article was written for Windows 2000, but seems to also apply to Windows XP:

What burning CDs in Windows Media music system prepares all the files listed.
What burning CDs in Windows Media music system prepares all the files listed. When the system starts writing the files on the disc it gets through about 4 songs and then goes to finalize the disc and ejects the disc. The disk does not appear to have anything on it. Can I do anything locally to solve the problem?
My system is XP.
I burned the disc a lot in the past
There has been no major changes to the system
The files I am to burn to the disc are previously ripped files on the disk hard, some of them were burned on another drive before.
I tried to slow down the burn speed, but that did not work.
CD burning problem
Hello
- You receive an error message when burning CDs?
- What were the changes made before the issue started?
To resolve this problem, do one or more of the following and then try again:a. Verify that the CD burner is properly connected.
b. clean the disc and verify that it is not damaged.
c. try a different brand of blank discs.
d. If another program is currently burning files on the CD, wait until the burning process is completed.
e. Quit other programs that may be using the CD burner.
f. restart Windows Media Player.
g. restart your computer.
h. use the Windows error-checking tool to find system errors of files with bad sectors on your hard drive. For more information about the error-checking tool, see Windows Help and Support.

What is this C:\Windows\ubomupewukuwu.dll file?
What is this C:\Windows\ubomupewukuwu.dll file?
I guess you ask because you get an error message at Windows startup on this file...
Looking for errors like this by doing a search on Google for the name of the file. Usually, they turn up without success.
When a search in no hits or suspicious hits result, the answer is usually that the file in question is linked to the malicious software and your anti-malware application has deleted or quarantined file, but left to the Windows registry entry that tries to start the malicious software when you start your computer.
First of all, download, install, update and run full scans with two of these free analytical tools:
MalwareBytes AntiMalware
SUPERAntiSpywareDo not run the scans at the same time. They can take some time, so start an and then go for a non computer chore for awhile.
If the scans does not solve the problem (and they can't, because the actual malware file has already been processed), then download and run Autoruns. Click on the "Connection" tab and look in the column 'Image path' for the dll named in your error message. If it is not displayed in the connection tab, click the "all" tab and use the file > search tool. A characteristic of the search of Autoruns tool is that you must move the selection under the element line "found" before you "Find Next."
Once you find the line with the file in question, either "delete" or (if you want to be safer) uncheck the box. The latter prevents the line running, but you can reactivate it later by removing the check mark.

What is happening with Windows Update from 18/01/2016 When I find out Windows Update in Control Panel, he said, with a big yellow sign warning, "install new Windows Update software to check updates. You must first install an update from Windows Update. Your automatic update settings will not change. To install the updated Windows Update will automatically close and reopen. »
Only Microsoft would think of this UPDATE TO SEE THE UPDATE.
When you click on install, it starts running AND running and checking for updates and there is no display. It must be download them?
When I go to shut down the computer, there is a big yellow exclamation on the Start button that says that Windows Update will install updates before its stop point. So it takes a while to stop.
I also noticed that in Windows Task Manager > process I have an iexplore.exe process * 32 running 120, 600 KB.
It stopped when I changed the Windows Update option stop the download and installation.
The computer is running very slow and erratic.
I just reinstalled Windows 7, so I have to do all the updates.
Does anyone have the same problem?
Thank you
TomS
Yep, that's how M$ slides 10ware in
See the note at the bottom of the updates settings page ;)
M$ has abused more than system update in 2015 and that continues in 2016.
I usually don't worry about this if updates are they come if not well welcome to 2020 support ended in the beginning
Do not use Internet Explore / MSE / Windows Firewall / Windows defender
Find alternatives for all of the foregoing
Free Panda who has a firewall
Premium not free malwarebytes, but it has a free version
Superaitispyware pro, which also has a free version
Moon pale x 64 bit is quite good with Firefox.
In the end, you can use a standard account instead of an administrator account and be safer.
You can still enter a password if you are prompted to run the items that you know are safe.
Well how did Linux a user to enter a password to do most of the tasks = kind of annoying if: p
Let junkware M$ at the door, you will be much safer any square meter said ;)
