  • TouchSmart 600-1350: what is the REAL TouchSmart 600-1350 RAM Specs?

    I see HP screwed up once again, big surprise there!

    Specification of RAM TouchSmart 600-1350 (citing the HP site):

    200 pins, DDR3 SO-DIMM

    Since 200 pin SO-DIMM is really a standard DDR2 and DDR3 is a 204 standard pins, I chose best educated guess one that suits and matches at speeds and tensions with the computer of my client for the upgrade. We ordered 2 Kingston PC3-10600 off 4 GB Max computer modules, but guess what? It don't work!

    Given that HP can't even say DDR2 DDR3 standards, can someone at HP who really knows what is up please tell me the specifications of memory live CORRECT for this system? Perhaps eventually make corrections to specifications of systems page too. Beyond that, a refund of $40 to my disappointed customer would be too big, but I not holding my breath!

    Anyway, why did 2 4 GB Kingston 204 pin PC3-10600 modules work? Normal blood pressure, nothing special...?

    Hello:

    Based on my experience, any HP PC with an Intel series 5 using portable memory chipset... it must be VERY specific with what you get memory.

    Please read this post related about this submission, in my view, that you have to buy...

    While it is a laptop, he uses the memory of the laptop and has a chipset Intel 5 series like the one you are working on.

  • How to get the amount of memory installed?

    (It's under the Windows operating system)

    I have do a comparative analysis program for the performance statistics for some complex calculations based on the hardware.

    What is the best way to get the amount of RAM installed programmatically?

    How do I know if the OS is 32 or 64 bit?

    Thank you!

    Well, it does not resemble the Memstats VI returns the memory installed. It returns a number, but I can't match the amount of memory installed on my system. The GetCurrentPlatform seems to return only the name of the OS, not whether 32-bit or 64-bit. I see nothing in the App-> target list containing this information. At least to 8.2. Did not check in 2009.

    Define "better". Best in speed? Better compatibility on multiple versions of the Windows operating system? Best in terms of access to this information without having to delve too in all sorts of types of data Windows and DLLs?

    Would you consider .NET stand for the 'best '. If so, the amount of RAM installed can be gained from easily using the Microsoft.VisualBasic.Devices.ComputerInfo class:

    To determine whether your OS is 32 - bit or 64 - bit are you trying to make a distinction between a 32 bit on a 64-bit CPU vs OS a 64 bits on 64-bit OS? I know that the WMI class can be used to obtain this information, so if you try to make this distinction, you could watch the Win32_ComputerSystem and Win32_Processor classes. For example, I think that what follows is what you would see:

    OS 64-bit on x64processor:
    Win32_ComputerSystem.systemType = pc x 64
    Win32_Processor.addresswidth = 64
    Win32_Processor.architecture = 9
    Win32_Processor.DataWidth = 64

    32 bit on x86processor OS:
    Win32_ComputerSystem.systemType = x 86 pc
    Win32_Processor.addresswidth = 32
    Win32_Processor.architecture = 0
    Win32_Processor.DataWidth = 32

    OS 32 bit on x64processor:
    Win32_ComputerSystem.systemType = x 86 pc
    Win32_Processor.addresswidth = 32
    Win32_Processor.architecture = 9
    Win32_Processor. DataWidth = 64

    I've attached an example on how to access the classes with .NET. Not pretty, but not too bad either.

  • After Effects uses a lot of memory (live RAM) when you perform simple work

    Hello

    When I open AE, make a new project, import a simple 20 MB mp4 file itself and start playback of the clip (RAM Preview), consumption of RAM of After Effects gets up to 5 GB, and the CPU usage gets up to 50%!

    This is a really simple job, and I don't know why it takes so many resources, it wasn't happening to me before.

    I'm on Windows 8.1, I use After Effects 13.2.0.49 (2014.2) and I have 8 GB of RAM.

    Why is this happening?

    Thanks in advance.

    MP4 are notoriously calculation-heavy because they are so heavily compressed.  What explains the treatment part.

    RAM previews allow AE to use so much memory that it has to play in real time.  What explains the part of the memory.

  • How to determine the amount of memory shipped on the PXI-5114

    How to determine the amount of memory onboard, I have on my PXI-5114?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    I'm sorry I didn't know you already had the map.  There is a property for NO-Scope node to determine the total amount of available memory that we can then divide down to get the memory available per channel.  Please see the vi and help below:

    This gives a shot, just drop it in a VI that you use and if it should return your memory cards.  If you don't have a LabVIEW I can probably retrieve the purchased version by querying your serial number.

    Kind regards

    Hello axiomtest,

    There are two stickers on the back of the card (including one with a barcode) and the other without.  The part number is that without the bar code and from there, you can search your memory option on our Web site.  If there is no sticker on the card, which looks like yours have been removed, then use this example of community in LabVIEW to determine the size of your card.

  • What is the limit of memory for applications Webworks? Our application does not have to charge 50% of the time.

    * This question is memory of the Z10 device only Webworks *.

    We have looked EVERYWHERE and can not find an answer updated this! Also went through all the documentation.

    We have created several games using HTML5 which has great sound and special effects.  Only problem, is that we have heard that some people have had memory problems with applications Webworks.

    The game that we were about to publish has a 12 MB download size, but uses a 32 MB total memory. The script JS itself is only 800ko but are resources which are both loaded into memory to 12 MB, but an another 20 MB are generated on the plan procedural as the user through the levels.

    It worked fine in the Simulator about 3 / 6 times, with the other 3 times drawing a blank screen. We have not tested on a device yet. The game is flowing on the desktop browser 100% of the time.  We assume that failures of loading in the card sim is due to problems of memory?

    What is the total maximum memory allowed use for applications webworks? I heard that it's much lower than native applications.  We have a great game that has been in high demand for awhile now and it is very good for Blackberry players who pay for games - but unfortuntaely I'm not sure if we can publish now.

    There are 10 BlackBerry applications that exceed 1 GB in size and a very high memory usage. based on your numbers I do not plan to be a problem.

    As a general rule, if an application causes the operating system to run out of memory, the operating system will start cleaning things upwards (starting with the offending application) to free up resources. This will result in the application of closing; not a white screen.

    As a general rule, if you see a white screen on startup, it means that there was an error in the JavaScript code when loading.

    Did you by chance has created a debug version and connected Web Inspector to monitor for errors when starting?

    You use frames? BBUI.js, etc. ? If Yes, can you confirm that you expect for the event the window.load event * before * trying to access the document or WebWorks APIs?

  • (Redirected) Alienware Aurora R3 / water damage / the amount of memory has changed... Problem

    Hi all

    Last night, I spilled water on top of my alienware desktop computer. I quickly shutdown, unplugged and held head down for awhile. First time I turned it back on, it gave me the "amount of memory has changed, but none has been added" problem. I went through system troubleshoot (F5 I think) and had everything to the point where it asks if you want to continue for 30 minutes. I skipped that and restarted. Second time I turned on my computer, it loaded all regularly, logged into my account, desktop screen with files, etc. Then he went straight to the screen of closing and began to beep, in the explosion of two. Whenever I try to start, stuck to the error page "the amount of memory" with two beeps.

    I tried a few searches and it seems it could be a motherboard problem, I'm not sure. I would like to email technical support, but it seems impossible without active coverage? (Mine is is no longer active).

    My question is, is it sounds like a problem of motherboard and if so, how can I replace it in my office? Where to get the part, etc.

    Thank you for your useful answers.

  • How to increase the amount of memory to the host system?

    Hello gentlemen,

    I am new to VMware ESXi 5, and I want to know how to increase the amount of memory for the host system?

    I saw in the Configuration menu of the host, my ESXi host has only 77.3 MB. I think it's wrong, it's too little amount of memory dedicated to the host system. It is not a (Properties) button after I was able to change the amount of memory host system.

    Please, be so kind, help me!

    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to the community,

    where do you see this amount of memory?

    The total amount of memory installed on the host can be seen in the summary, tab (resources) with the host country is selected in the inventory.

    I was invited to check the amount of memory actually used by our db cache. Currently, we use the parameters db_32k_cache_size (defined by the user) and db_8k_cache_size (default), both allocated with 12 GB. Now I want to know if it is possible to find how on the 12 GB are actually used by the cache.

    Is this possible?

  • What is the difference between x 86 and x 64-bit windows?

    What is the difference between x 86 and x 64-bit windows?
    Why windows 8 is incompatible with the office that is capable of windows 7?

    Title: Original Windows 8.0 and 8.1

    The terms (x 86) 32-bit and 64-bit (x 64) refer to how a processor (also called a CPU), processes the information. The 64 bit version of Windows handles large amounts of RAM (RAM) more efficiently than a 32-bit system.

    You can try to install a 64-bit version of Windows 8 on a 32-bit version of Windows 7. You must use the 32-bit disc instead.
