  I shoot a lot of flowers near upward and also birds. Both have lots of details, feathers or Stamen, so I rely heavily on the sharpening. With birds, sometimes they are flying or remote or both, which makes it difficult to get sharp photos. Recently, I learned a lot about sharpening and now I am suffering, "I know, more I know that I don't know." In addition, some of my information is based on rumor and I appreciate all the advice. I heard that reduced pictures should never be sharpened up to the once they are reduced. Is this true? Should I set all sliders sharpening in ACR to zero? Should I also keep the low clarity slider in ACR or is it more your contrast medium and less sharpening? Is there another way to improve the clarity in PSE, ACR not?

  When I finished with the cab and open in the elements, the first thing I do is crop and resize using Image, resize, bicubic sharper. Then I correct the imperfections. Then, I select on the subject (s) and adjust the curves of colors and then light sharpening, which seems to give me the best results that Enhance-setting sharpness. (After two years of use of items I found this bright sharpness and it's so good. I wish I would have notice this Brundage in the earlier book. I did ask me what I'm missing.) After light sharpening should I try high-pass sharpening more or any other type of sharpening? Is there empirical rules on what kind of sharpening works best in which application? For example, I heard another rumor that sharpening of the strong or the shadows just increases noise. Is there a good way to handle these situations, as select out them, or use a special blending mode?

  After I'm done with the subject, I usually reverse in the background and noise and/or blurr and Desaturate to puncture the subject.

  Is Photoshop complete necessary to get the best sharpening tools or sharpening similar and other aspects are more powerful? I use so little of 8 items that I guess and hope that Photoshop or Lightroom would be overkill at this stage.

I spent a ton of time going through the programs, documentation, integrations, etc., but after awhile, it's all just words on a page and not absorbed.

  Math + Magic Pro works well with CS4, but need of equations to modify in the window of their plugin, and because they are EPS format. The file size and the ability to work with a digital player disappeared.

  Not exactly the kerning, but you can move blocks wherever you want with the arrow keys. And you can change the spacing between the elements by changing the spacer between them. There are also defects of spacing.

  Batch edit can be something again. I use 6.0, and I see that the most recent version is 6.5.

  I had problems with files EPS of Mathtype, which may include a preview, but do not include fonts. So, I opened each equation of the word with my default settings (they automatically change the default fonts, spacing, size, etc.), copy, paste in Illustrator and save as have. So when I'm finished, my equations are always vector (if that's what you mean by text).

  Microsoft has chosen to implement a version of Mathtype dumbed-down as the editor of Word equations for many years. So for me at least, long term has already been decided. There are several things wrong with Mathtype, but given the choice between the use of Mathtype to * convert * equations and using InMath or mathemagiques to * recreate * equations, I'll take Mathtype, warts and all.

  The Snow Leopard is one of the more stable OS Ive ever used, but you won't have a lot of features.  Mavericks is in the Middle, has more features and is always quite stable. I would, however, try to reinstall El Capitan, or deleting some files to free up space.

  How do you intend to use the time?

  If you are going to combine with DATEs or timestamps from a other source, then an INTERVAL DAY TO SECOND or NUMBER may be better.

  Will you need to perform arithmetic operations on time, for example, increase the time to 20%, or take an average?   If so, the NUMBER would be preferable.

  You are just going to display it?  In this case, DAY INTERVAL in SECONDS, DATE or VARCHAR2 would work.

  As Blushadow said, it depends.
