What is the difference between a) install a new copy of Windows, b) perform a new installation and c) reinstall Windows?

Hello

What makes them different?  In addition, one of these facilities/re-facilities removes everything, and one of them that keeps the files, applications, and settings?

Thank you

Assuming you're on win 10 (you do not specify) there are three things you can do

Refresh > keeps your files and restores system files and folders. (retains most settings)

Reset > you delete files and folders and restores the original operating system (keep anything)

Pure install > remove everything and re - install a Virgin copy of the operating system (keep anything)

What is the difference between WinPro 7 WINDOWS PLO NL legalization Get Genuine and Windows 7 Get Genuine professional?

Where did you got this license?

My understanding is, this is a Volume Licensing Open intended to convert a business that was previously running non-genuine version of Windows, either XP Vista o.

Although volume licenses are updated, they do not require that you have an existing previous license of Windows installed, even if the machine must be licensed appropriately, which means that it must have a qualifying edition such as Windows XP Professional, Vista Business/Ultimate or Windows 7 Professional/ultimate.

Considering that it is a license to Get Genuine Windows, this means that the company you got probably paid the total amount to cover the cost of the eligible volume and upgrade license.

  • What is the difference between Livecycle install OS and application server?

    Hello world

Is there a difference in the installation between the two Windows OS or Linux?

I am confused here given so many variations and possibilities, for example.

Windows - JBoss / Web Logic / Websphere

Linux - JBoss / Web Logic / Websphere

Anyone here found any good combination in the production? Please share it here.

    Thank you

    Albert

It depends on what the customer IT infrastructure consists of.  IBM stores tend to use WebSphere/AIX with DB2 as the database.  Free workshops tend to have JBoss/Linux.  Oracle stores tend to have WebLogic/Solaris with Oracle as the database.

    Hi all

I'm using Labview 7 and in my mahcine I have an installed 6013 card. However, there was an interface card designed by someone else long ago, on the table, only AO0, AO1,..., A07, DIO0, DIO1,..., DIO7 were printed. In the program, I saw some code to write to digital Line.vi allows you to send data to the digial io. Say that I write for DIO 3, so I understand here DIO 3 means the channel of e/s 3, but online? What is the difference between the channel and the line? When I write the data to a single channel of e/s, are us wriitng a byte or a bit of it? Thank you.

A channel is usually used with inputs/outputs analog.  Each AI or AO is a string.

  • What is the difference between a backup of the plant and a recovery disk?

For me a simple question, so I hope a simple answer.

When I got to my laptop that I created a USB using DBR recovery. It is a little more than 8 GB in size and is appointed SYSRECOVERY.

At that time there I didn't create a backup of the plant.

Having recently been read on things related to the re-establishment of a system in case of disk failure hard etc, I saw that Dell has said you must create USB recovery media and a backup of the plant. So, I got a new USB and today created a backup of the plant.

Looking at it, it is also called SYSRECOVERY and both have exactly the same list of files and folders and have almost the same size.

So just what is the difference between these 2 options (if any)?

Or do I now have 2 USBs that will do exactly the same work to restore my laptop computer provided that the factory?

Case there is no difference, why Dell offer both (and recommend you create both)?

    Thank you

Technically speaking a recovery media and backup of the plant are the same. But according to the post that you saw at Dell, recovery media is a backup of backup from the factory with the files and applications that you added later. Therefore, to be on the safe side, Dell recommends to create a backup of files and software that have been added later (or is not part of the default configuration).

The factory backup contains all drivers and software according to the configuration of the PC, and that were pre-installed on your computer.

Generally, Windows failure, you can use factory backup media to restore the PC without affecting your personal files and software. In the event of hard disk failure, where the hard drive is replaced, recovery media will be useful to restore Windows as well your files and applications.

  • What is the difference between the stop and restart?

What is the difference between the stop and restart?  I feel that stopping closed all processes, completely erases RAM memory and clears the cache of the processor.  I need to know if 1) this is a correct assumption and 2) which is better for daily maintenance of the system.  Thank you in advance.

    Hello Jeremy_1976,

Your support when the judgment is correct. Basically, it stops the process and completely turns off your computer. Reboot, however, temporarily your PC stops, then turn it on again. This happens usually when Windows updates are installed. After installation, the system is restarted (rebooted) so that any update has been successfully installed and works as it should. You can be a little mixed upward the reboot and the hibernation. Reboot is, as I have indicated previously, basically a reboot of your machine. Ultimately, your PC is on again after a reboot. However, hibernation, stores all data currently in memory in a special file, then the PC turns off. When you then turn on your PC, that is, coming out of hibernation, hibernation files is used to restore the status of the PC than when you initially put into hibernation. In other words all the programs you had open before will automatically open and be ready to use hibernation.

Hibernation or sleep for that matter is for short-term use. It is normal in Hibernate, or sleep if you want to be away from your PC for half an hour or so. If you leave more than I suggest you stop completely.

A point to remember about hibernation is that, if you use put into hibernation, you can't, once you get out after hibernation, install programs or updates. You have to stop and restart normally to do.

What is the difference between a version of MAR and the software win7 INKL?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    • What exactly you're talking about when you say, 'Version INKL of Windows 7?

I'll be happy to answer your query, however, please explain more about abbreviation INKL. There is a version called Office of ink that is used in the Tablet PC.

Here's the other version of Windows, you can make reference to:

    MAR - Microsoft Authorized Reacondicionador

A new PC requires a version of windows with a new key license installed if purchased from a manufacturer.

A refurbished PC is allowed to use an existing product key (2nd hand if you like) as long as it is always delivered with a certificate of authenticity (COA). This is referred to as MAR (Microsoft authorized Reacondicionador) which means that Microsoft allows to use existing keys/licenses products.

Buy a version of windows means MAR technically you buy a second hand copy - being however, software, so it comes with COST, will make absolutely no difference at all.

    N and KN editions

The features in N and KN Editions are the same full versions of their equivalent, but do not include Windows Media Player or other technologies related to Windows Media, such as Windows Media Center and Windows DVD Maker because of the limits set by the European Union and South Korea, respectively. The cost of n and KN Editions are the same as the full versions, as the Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N and Windows 7 KN can be downloaded for free from Microsoft.

    Generations of VL

VL builds work with VLK (volume license key). Volume license keys can be used to activate multiple installations of the software without a mechanism (for example, a product activation mechanism) controls the total number of facilities. The license for the software is going to impose restrictions on the use of the key. In general, the license will limit the key to a certain number of facilities which must be only the Organization of the licensee and also to place the holder under the obligation to keep a record of the number of facilities, hold confidential and perhaps even require that the holder organization makes available for a software license check check that his use of the key is in the terms of the license.

Please let us know what exactly are you referring to when you say version INKL of Windows 7, so we can further research and answer.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • What is the difference between win 7 pro DSP OEI DVD and the OEM or normal Full pack?

    1. What is the difference between win 7 pro DSP OEI DVD and the pack OEM or normal Full we learned normally?
    2. does DSP OEI DVD comes with CD of instalation?

These versions are for small integrators (DSP = 'partners in enforcement service'), which usually contain a single Windows (1pk = 32-bit or 64-bit, not both as in commercial versions) and an OEM preinstallation kit to preconfigure Windows and/or integrate additional tools (OEI = 'Installation of Original equipment' or 'Integration organizational environment'). They have the same limitations that versions OEM = license is tied to the computer where the operating system has been installed initially and not transferable in case of death of the machine. Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
If my assumption is correct, you are looking for which file to download service pack update.
Worry not choose files. Download the .iso to the update file, either burn it or mount or extract it and install. These files are called the symbol files. They differ in the language, for example. frequency refers to the French version. They are used to debug the Service Pack and are not really necessary unless you start to run into problems and try to find solutions on your own.

What is the difference between upgrade and custom installation options?

    Hello

How to do a clean install:

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-Windows-7-a.html

Sometimes the only way to upgrade is to do a clean install,

" Upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7 "

To upgrade your Windows XP computer to Windows 7, you will need to select custom during installation of Windows 7. A custom installation keeps your programs, files or settings. It is sometimes called a 'clean' for this reason installation.
