What is the format Windows Media play? AVI, WAV, MPEG?

I was currently absent and recorded a few videos on my camera.  By default the M2TS files for the video camera.  I converted one of them in AVI, MPEG and WMV. Player Windows seems like none of them, nor does Windows Movie Maker.  What is the format they like? Any help?

I'm not familiar with the program of Hamster, but I noticed on Cnet
It gets good reviews.

File conversion programs are certainly not all the same.
Here are a few freebies. It may be interesting to try to experiment.

  • When I download a WMV file on a website and then play through the Player Windows Media, I get the audio but the video is just a green screen Uni.

When I download a wmv on an internet site and then play through the Player Windows Media, I get the audio but the video is just a green screen Uni.  I was told that the media player can miss a card.

    Hello

    1. what operating system is installed on the computer?
    2. are you able to play videos other than video .wmv successfully?
    3. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?

    Method 1
I suggest you to check if the hardware acceleration of the display device setting is too high.
    a. Click Start, click Run, type desk.cpl and then click OK.

    b. click on the settings tab and then click Advanced.

    c. click the Troubleshooting tab, and then move the hardware acceleration to none.

    d. click on apply and then click OK twice.

    e. If the problem is resolved after you move the slider hardware acceleration to none, contact the manufacturer of the graphics adapter driver to determine if there is an update that resolves this specific problem.

    Method 2
The required codec is missing or damaged. If the problem occurs when you use a .wmv file, download or reinstall the latest version of Windows Media Player. If you use an earlier version of Windows Media Player, upgrade to the current version of Windows Media Player for your operating system.

    • You have problems with programs

I am experiencing this when I try to use Windows Media Player (so recent, but not easy to find the version number) to play a .wma file that I've transferred from vinyl years ago.  My browser isn't FireFox, Netscape.

I drag the file from Windows Explorer to the playlist in Windows Media Player, and a Web page comes up (http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/pdrm/en/welcome.asp?challenge=AAEAATMvJkIGMMWfrmgMxKUeJkQMlzddByxvhfASAwJeI7q50r * BSeNHGXSEmuEa3z9B8i4S!) Bebc75l2lX3gVmq5Na & DRMVer = 1. "& embedded = false).  The page says:

    -------------------------------------

A license is required to play this file

The file you are trying to play was ripped (copied) from an audio CD.

During the extraction process, the file was "protected". This limits the number of computers on which the file can be read.

To read the file on this computer, you must download a license (a process called "license migration"). A license is an electronic key that allows to "unlock" a protected file and read it.

To download a license for this file, click download the license .

    [Button: download license]

    .. then by some Notes.

    -------------------------------------

When I click on the button, I get a dialog box saying «Netscape browser no not the Microsoft windows media services plug-ins to allow the download of license to play music»

    .. who's actually a dead-end.  I tried the FireFox plug-ins, but it was a waste of time.

It's annoying, because my vinyl transfer was fair use of album, and my time is precious to me.

    -Eric

SOLUTION: Is annoying, but switch to Internet Explorer as default browser and go through the procedure described above.  When I did, he received the license, which enabled Windows Media Player play all .wma files in the directory.  (It could be worse - the software could have go me through the process for each file separately.) Other players are still unable to read the files and it's still a nuisance.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    1. What exactly happens when you try to play any video?
    2. The problem is specific to a particular video?
    3. You get the error message during playback of AVI files? If so, what is the exact error message you get?

Ideally, you need not codecs to run AVI files in Windows Media Player. Please click the link below:

Your MP3 player should have 2 settings - MSC that should allow the player to be used as a
