  To my knowledge, there is no limitation of the capacity of the HARD disk since the SATA controller is used and the SATA controller should support over 400GB.

  According to the specifications of the laptop computer supports a 6 GB HARD drive.
  You can try with 10 or 12 GB of HARD drive.

  These hard drives are cheap and I don't see any risk with the upgrade. Test it!

I recently downloaded the whole package from HP for Windows 7 again in the hope that all such issues would be resolved but havn't got round to install (mostly because I don't know if I should remove the previous first etc.?), but the presence of the new version stopped me to send the impression by opening the "fax" printer interface when I press 'print '.   I see that you are having problems printing.  I would like to help.

  I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

  Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

  Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

  As far as I know the laptop supports the SATA HDD controller and you must use a SATA 2.5 HARD.

  You should be able to use any HDD SATA controller SATA HDD is not limited to any size. I think that the BIOS should also support a 320 GB HARD drive or more
