What is the procedure using a flash drive to store the music files?

Hello!, my OS is Windows XP Home Edition and I have a compaq presario pc.  I want to store music files in this sandisk 8.0 GB cruzer flash drive. I see this flash player needs to connect to my PC's USB port, but what do I do after having plugged the drive into my USB port? I have about 7 GB of music files I want to save in this little gadget. You will appreciate the help.

Thank you

I noticed that the flash drive is turned on but the light goes off and nothing happens until you see this message on the currently installed drivers. Is this light on the supposed flash player to stay on for a long time it is coupled to the USB port? The flashing blade facing up... right? Is it possible that I am incorrect installation... backwards? I hope that this flash drive is not damaged. Also if I chose to copy the entire folder of music that contains 7 GB of music files, about how long would it take to copy and save any content in this flash drive? I guess that it will be more than an hour or so, is that at the time? Needless to say, it's the 1st time I tried this type of operation... still a recruit... lol

Hello drake68, I have a Sandisk 4 GB flash drive and the led remains blue when it is connected, and when in the front port, there the light upward. Your system may be different. You can't get the message that the drivers are or have been installed. If you insert the flash drive into the front USB port of the system, you can try another port, perhaps on the back of the case, just to make sure that the USB ports work. As long as you do not force the flash player into the port, it will insert only in one direction.

It is difficult to say how long it would take to copy 7 GB of data on a flash drive. It depends on the speed of the system, but USB 2.0 is not very fast to move large amounts of data. It might take some time.

You can store your music and other files on the USB fllash.  Simply plug into a USB port on the computer and then it will appear in Windows Explorer as another drive.  You can move files back and forth as you would with any other drive.

Put the game on flash drive will just make things worse for the processor and the processor - it will not solve the problem with the game.  The problem seems to be that the game requires a more powerful computer that you own.  The choices are new game or new/updated computer up-to-date (if the computer can be upgraded).

    I hope this helps.

I'm doing a back up on my laptop for the first time. I want to know how long does take to make it complete? and can I use a flash drive to put it on the back

Yes, you can use a flash drive.

It is conventional to use an external hard drive. Mine has a capacity of 1 TB of sub Canandian $100.

As for how long, it varies. Depends on the amount of files to back up.

I think that the first time I did it was an hour.

The next backup would be shorter because he'll be increment backup... just save those who are new.

  • What is the ldiag file in Windows 7? How can I stop Windows write files in this folder?

Can someone tell me what is the ldiag file in Windows 7?

Somehow, Windows creates files and writes to this file. It keeps then write files until the entire hard drive is full. In other words, there is no place to save a restore point and no place to open Outlook, etc.

When this has happened in the past, I had to contact the Microsoft response service and a level 2 technician to erase files. They said, the problem has been "fixed", but he continues to be...

Do you know what "program" in Windows write files to this folder? I think it's a kind of diagnostic file. I tried the search "help" and the community and have not found anything to answer.

Well, I hope that he is an expert in the community who can advise me on this. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your kindness in answering this question. I worked with technician level 2 Microsoft Office of response on the issue.

I see that the files are part of the Lenovo system. Somehow, the Lenovo system analysis - triggered by something unknown to me--and wrote a text of 25 to 30 Gigabyte file!  I've identified it as a program of Lenovo, the write file and the program triggered by some unknown parameter. Then, I took the step to stop this program, Lenovo to run and then remove the text files.

The steps you suggested are 'typical' first response / suggestions that you could do in that first level. However, in this case that they had nothing to do with the real problem.

I often do a disk cleanup. This program is not clean these text files of the diagnosis of Lenovo.

I start the computer in safe mode to diagnose problems. Yet once, just for the record, being in safe mode has nothing to do with the question of the Lenovo running program.

No, there is no error message other than a message about 'disk full '. I ran a small program to see the size of the folder and was able to quickly identify the issue of file ldiag containing two text files, each about 25 gigabytes.

Once again, thank you for your suggestions, but they were just basic, 'typical' suggestions and really had nothing to do with this specific problem. However, you have correctly identified the ldiag as being a file of Lenovo. Once that technology Tier 2 response office and found out that we were able to "solve" the problem.

I'll keep the links you sent for reference.

Thank you for taking the time to answer.

Original title: Windows 7: what are the individual "file system type" files in the folder system volume information accumulating [not the files system restore I already know and don't use yet]

    Hi-

I stopped using the system restore, I found a better solution, for me, that's what I have to do.
Then I noticed that several 'file system' 'type' was being created, 12 times yesterday, 3 up to today in the early hours of the morning and stored in they System Volume Information folder, anywhere from 30 MB to 2 GB.
three of these file names 'file system' 'type' are:

Anyone know what it could be?

    Hi John,.

Yes, you can delete the system volume information data if not to use the system restore.

You will need to give permission to the folder until you delete it.

RXE files are generated by the LEGO MINDSTORMS programming environment (also called NXT - G; it is based on LabVIEW but not equivalent).  These files contain binary data representing a MINDSTORMS program.  To open them, you need the LEGO software.

Records are a method of setting permissions in VMware vCenter. They form a triage unit and behave as a logical separation. When you first add the hosts to vCenter and you have all the files, there will be a default folder created for you as Richardsonporto mentioned.

Later, you can create new folders and separate the virtual machine by drag-and - drop of their.
