    Hi friend

Sorry I have to tell you that it s not possible to update your computer with a new graphics from the vga chip is embedded on the motherboard.

Almost ALL of the toshiba machines were "wired" so graphics card if you don t one machine of 30,000 dollars for weld and a LOT of know-how for reprogramming BIOS as the guys at toshiba @ Japan then take your thoughts on the upgrade of the VGA.

If I were you I would upgrade my RAM instead or if you really want to play games with your machine then you can order this thing:

  • Can what kind of network card I add?

CTRL + Alt + S gives me this information, but none of this is acknowledged by HP support as a valid system site search. I just want to know what type of expansion of this machine slot has, so I can order a new network card. If someone can tell me how to get either the HP support site search to work, or tell me how to determine the right type of NETWORK card to buy, I would be grateful.

    Hello

The following link shows the specifications of your machine:

It has 3 PCIe x 1 and a PCIe x 16 graphics slots. You can buy a PCIe NIC card (called Networ adapter) and add to your machine, something similar to one of the following (for wired network)

  • What kind of PCMCIA slots has Portege 7220?

I just got a Belkin USB 2.0 PCMCIA to fit in one of my pcmcia slots. That should give me 2 USB 2.0 Sockets. I put it in and my laptop is see it not at all. Thought it was a driver problem (I use XP) but now suspect that I don't have a Type II slot, it is an old laptop.

    Hello

On the Toshiba driver download page, you will find drivers for Win2000.

  • What of the Satellite P30?

    Hello

I'm the owner of a new Satellite P30-J002 (in Australia), which has a processor of 3.33 P4 with a Mobility Radeon 9700 128 MB and 17 "widescreen (1680 x 1050). I wanted to find out as much as possible about it, but could not find any discussion on the P30 in these forums. It is a very unpopular model? Or does go under another name of model?

One thing that interests me is if there is an option to set the display of the Panel to scale by keeping the proportions locked when viewing in a lower resolution to 1680 x 1050 native? In my view, that this is que cela s' appelle called 'fixed proportions scaled' or something similar.

Also, is there a PDF manual describing all the BIOS settings available?

    Thanks for any help,
    Damian.

    Hello

Sorry, the forum is a European forum of Toshiba, there is mainly discussed European models, indeed there are the United States and Asian models, but not as much as the Europeans.

I had looked through the internet and concluded that the European P30 - 1xx are also specificcated with a P4 3.06 up to 3.46 Ghz, Radeon Mobility 9700 is available with 64 and 128 MB and there are only 17 "wide screen with 1440 x 900.

Perhaps is it better for you to search in

    Hi BigPappaDom,

In my opinion to get rid of this, you need to reinstall the display driver. I have checked the site of Toshiba Satellite P30 is no Vista driver available. This means that you must find yourself to get all the drivers. :(

I searched a bit and you should try to install the Satellite P200D display driver. She also equipped graphics card ATI and this driver must be compatible with your other oldest:

  • Satellite P30 110: what power?

I need to replace the power supply for my Satellite P30-110.

    The main web site search gives three options: PA3336E-1ACA, PA3381E-1ACA, and PA3290E-2ACA (e = 1 http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/options_and_accessories_search_by_model.jsp?servic = UK & selSeries & selFamily = 2326 & SelCategorie = 2319 & family = 2326 & product = 98796 selP)

PA3381E-1ACA seems more to be available and PA3290E-2ACA has this note: "this adapter is a DC-in smaller form than part number PA3290U-1ACA-PA3290U-2ACA and PA3290U-1ACA are not interchangeable."

My CD original, now broken, food seems to be the model of PA3381E-1ACA unabvailable.

Anyone know who the other two power supplies is the correct replacement?
Or can anyone suggest a market after feeding, which will be held on the car, air and entry to provide the right output (19v 6. 3A).

    Hello

Satellite P30-109 has PA3290U-1ACA adapter 100-240V AC 50 - 60 Hz 120W with 19V DC output. AFAIK all laptop P30 use the same adapter. Check the part number on the Toshiba page.

  • What kind of SATA Satellite A300 - 27Q support

    Hello.

    _1st. _
I would like to know if my Toshiba A300 27 Q * has a * main card that supports SATA2 or only supports SATA1.

I know that it has installed a HDD of 250 GB Sata1 and I think to install a 500 GB SSD, but I read that the support of main card SATA2 doesn´t it is isn´t to put an SSD.

    _2nd. _
If my laptop computer wouldn compatible SATA2, I have difficulties to install an SSD?
Would this work slowler, the same, or faster than my HD?

Thank you and sorry for my bad English.

    With respect to question 1)

I think that the drive HARD laptop s controller supports only SATA I (SATA 150)
But I'm not quite sure on this standard controller, and that's why I recommend you to start Notepad using the Hirens Boot CD this disc Mr. start the laptop and provides various diagnostic tools that would help you to get more details on the pieces of equipment as well as the HARD disk controller.

    With respect to question 2)

The SATA standard is completely compatible.
This means that you can use a SATA II SSD drive in the common framework of the SATA controller.

I did similar upgrading. My SATA I controller uses the SSD SATA II (SATA300), but of course, it does not reach readers (SATA300) full SSD performance. However, the performance gain and the improvement is noticeable and it s very good decision to move from the HDD to the SSDd shore

  • Satellite A30: What kind of chip is the Bios

This question confuses me a bit!

The BIOS is stored on the ROM module and as I remember the A30 series supports Phoenix BIOS.

  • Can I install a wireless card in my Satellite P30-141 wireless Bay?

P30-141 does not come with wireless capabilities and I can't follow all the cables of wireless antennas that must reside in the top cover of the machine, but I would like to know if it is possible to undertake my own installation of a toshiba wireless card? Would anyone out there know of a specific wireless card model / reference number that could be used to do this? I am quiet happy tinkering around inside the machine, like its four years past the warranty I think I already replaced the LCD once, so I'm pretty familiar with the guts, just can't find any documentation on this component getting in this particular machine.

Any advice would be a great help!

    Hello

As far as I know the number of units of the Satellite P30 series were equipped with card WLan.
So I think that the motherboard must contain the necessary PCI WLan mini slot.
But the question is if this unit was equipped with the WLan antenna.
If there is no cable antenna (black, white) near the miniPCI location, then this would mean that the WLan antenna is not available and this means that you could not install the card miniPCI Wlan module.
Without the antenna you will receive no WLan signal!

Why you n t try a USB WiFi key? It s in use and you don t just any external antenna.
