What kind of programs does Vista support?

Quick question - if I bought a product that lists the supported for all versions of Windows XP and Windows 7, but not Vista, is that what it means that the product can indeed does not work on Vista? It may feel that the products developed for the two other o/s would work as well under Vista.

Thank you.

Most things that usually run on Windows 7 run on Vista, to a lesser extent perhaps, even for things that run on XP, they typically run on Vista too.

I have checked the Vista Compatibility Center for you?

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.

-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).

  • Hearing cc 2015 is able to deconstruct an OMF song in its component titles? If this is not the case, what kind of program can? Thank you

Hearing cc 2015 is able to deconstruct an OMF song in its component titles? If this is not the case, what kind of program can? Thank you

I'll have to give you a qualified Yes.

When a sequence or project is exported as an OMF file, the resulting OMF file contains a description of your audio editing (the clip in the Timeline and exit points) as well as audio files. You can use the command Export OMF if you plan to deliver your audio files to a Publisher using a digital audio-OMF-compatible station (DAW). Most of the audio facilities are capable of using OMF files.  The problem is, OMF is one of the most abused, interpreted as 'standards' autour, and lots of other audio editing programs do not correctly.

The best I can say is try it and see.  However, if there is a problem, can I suggest that you look at a nice little app called "AATranslator" available at AATranslator - homepage

This was written by a user of hearing to smooth a bunch of problems that produce projects exchange of a wide range of DAWS - and the good thing is that the creator is a regular here so support tends to be pretty darn good!

  • Does Vista support Core Duo on Satellite A100

Recently I bought laptop Satellite A100-784 with Core Duo CPU and pre-installed Vista Home Basic and I have a question about.

Among all the tables of comparison of the different versions of Vista that I found on the Internet, it has been said that Vista Home Basic Edition does not support the technology of modern processor dual-core. I would like to know the Vista that was preinstalled on my laptop Core Duo, if it a slightly modified version of Vista Home Basic with the CPU support double core or is it just a Vista Home Basic standard that doesn't support CPU Core Duo in its entirety?

    Why I ask:
    (1) I see no sence to change Windows XP that came before with Satellite A100 laptop series and who supported the technology double heart with operating system that may not cover all previous Windows features.

    (2) in comparison tables, it was also said Vista Home Basic is not compatible WiFi well in windows, I got with my computer laptop WiFi was preinstalled with a complete coverage of the operating system that makes me thihk that the preinstalled Vista is a bit modyfied in support of all possible features of this exact notebook.

Someone could he clear to me?

    Thank you in advance.

Please show me this comparison table, cant believe it :) Vista Home Basic supports processors Dual-Core as well as WiFi, what a question!

Maybe learn you about multiple CPU systems. This could be. But two cores in one processor is not a problem!
