What processors does the Inspiron 580 support?

I have an old Dell Inspiron 580 system I give to my 11 year old for school work and light online games.  I try to understand which processors will support this system.   I know it 'should' support a wide range of i3s and i5s, but since the last update of the BIOS has been in 2010, I don't know there is a lot that he doesn't.  Course record:

Model of motherboard - Dell 033FF6 A00

Chipset - H57

BIOS - A07

UC - i3 530

Before installing the processor, make sure you have the latest version of the BIOS installed.

What exactly does the Time Machine backup?

We have a Mac Pro towers (NOT for sale) and Mac mini with several hard drives installed internally.   Time Machine backup all internal disks or just the boot disk?   This can be configured?

Time Machine backs up your default boot partition. However, if you have more than one drive or partition on your Mac (and it is formatted in "Mac OS extended (journaled)"), you can set the Time Machine to save these drives too. You can do this by removing these drives from the list of excluded items in System-> Time Machine-> Options... Preferences, so that the next backup will include all internal hard drives or partitions that you want to back up too.

  • Virtual machine has 12 virtual processors, but the host only supports 8?

Hi all I am using ESX 5.1 and have a machine Windows 2012 R2 Standard of virtual (vmx-09) comments that I'm moving to 8 processors to 12 processors.  But when I turn on the virtual machine after changing the UC 12 I get the error message

"Virtual Machine has 12 virtual processors, but the host only supports 8. The number of virtual processors can be limited by the selected guest OS for the virtual machine or the granting of licenses for the host".

Now, I know that 2012 R2 Standard Windows can handle 12 processors and I thought that ESX 5.1 could also, but I'm wrong?  This is the Standard of vSphere license 5.  Thank you!

    Hello

vSphere 5.1 Standard license has a 8 vCPU per VM limit.

    Company = 32 vCPU

    Business + 64 vCPU

You must upgrade to vSphere 5.5. This can be done with your vSphere license 5, as it is for all versions 5.X of vSphere and vCPU limit has been deleted in 5.5.

So you can have as many vCPU per VM that your host has logical cores.

    Hello

It is the restriction of license. 4-way vSMP is the right thing, you stressed in your screenshot.

If you upgrade your server and license to vSphere 5, you can allocate 8 vCPU with Standard license and 32 vCPU with your license of the company!

  • Virtual machine has 8 virtual processors, but the host only supports 4... ?

    Hello

My setup is a VSphere cluster with 4 guests each with:

E5450 3.00 Ghz Dual Xeon Quad & 32 GB of Ram.

I run a number of virtual machines, mainly Windows 2003 Server Enterprise. Most of them is running on 2 or 4 virtual processors.

I tried to create a new virtual machine with virtual cpu 6 or 8 and 16 GB of ram. When I tried to turn on the virtual machine, I got the message below:

Virtual machine has 8 virtual processors, but the host supports only 4. The number of virtual processors can be limited by the OS, etc...

Now, I checked my licenses and they are for each host that I have:

Company of VSphere 4. 1-6 cores per processor. 2 cpu by assigned host.

Thus, it cannot be a problem with the license...

    Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to the forums.

The Enterprise Plus edition is required for vSMP 8 channels.  You can check in the vSphere editions comparison.  The Enterprise edition will be limited to 4 vCPUs.

The 6 cores per processor refers to the ESX host itself and directly relate to the SMP virtual machine.

    Good luck!

  • What exactly does the "recovery disk"?

I'm about to reinstall everything on my laptop but would like to know what exactly is the "recovery disk"...

I presume that it formats the HARD drive with a clean installation of the operating system and all applications toshiba as a CD burner, VAP etc. are NOT installed and must be installed afterwards?

Well, the restore CD contains an image of Toshiba. Toshiba picture is a package and contains a Windows operating system, the Toshiba drivers, tools and additional software.
Simply said that it contains everything that you might find preinstalled on the Toshiba laptop.

And Yes; the recovery CD formats the drive HARD integer (also partitions) and install everything again.
It redefines the laptop to factory settings

  • What battery does the dm4x? Or what model number is the dm4x?

I just ordered a dm4x of Costco, which comes stock with a battery 6 cells.  I would also like to order the upgrade battery 9 cells, but I have no idea what battery model it has need.

There is no number listed as a dm4x model, so I would say I have the dm4-1000. or the dm4-2000 maybe?

The computer can't for two weeks, so I don't have the tag to refer to another and surprisingly the model number does not appear in one of the specs on the site of hp or costco.

I think that the MUO9 is compatible with the dm4x, but I would really like to know for sure before you buy.  If another user of dm4x tell me what battery they use, or maybe what model they have, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help

For anyone else who may be looking in the dm4x:

    The product number is LX130AV

    It indeed takes the MU09

  • How do I find out what version of the APP is supported by WebLogic

The version of WebLogic, I used is 10.3.6.0. In order to use JPA2 instead of JPA1, I followed the guide says to set it manually by adding these lines in commEnv.cmd (programming Enterprise JavaBeans, 3.0 for Oracle WebLogic Server 11 g Release 1 10.3.6 Version):

    Set wls_modules = C:\Oracle\Middleware\modules
    Set PRE_CLASSPATH=%wls_modules%\javax.persistence_1.0.0.0_1-0-2.jar;%wls_modules%\com.oracle.jpa2support_1.0.0.0_2-1.jar

Then I changed to TopLink Kodo on WebLogic console.

Suddenly, I read "Java EE 6 support comes at WebLogic 10.3.4.0 on January 15, 2011" (http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/eclipselink-users/msg06874.html).

I wonder if WebLogic 10.3.6 is already set to use default JPA2. We could easily answer if I knew how to see what JPA, JTA, EJB, or wherever the version of configuration are defined when the server is started. Where can I get this information?

My understanding is that the situation in WebLogic 10.3.6 is quite the same as in earlier versions - it comes with the jars of JPA 2.0, but they are not enabled by default so that it can respond to the Java EE 5 compatibility requirements. This is mentioned in the documentation that you could see here: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/e13852/toc.htm#BGGBIJBI
and the docs to 10.3.5 here:
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E21764_01/Web.1111/e13852/TOC.htm#NOTES149

The link that you referenced says not 10.3.4 WebLogic's Java EE 6 compatible. The reference I think you got this from says that the com.oracle.jpa2support_1.0.0.0_2 - 0.jar is included for future compatibility of Java EE 6, but it is not enabled in 11.3.x so that there is Java EE 5 compatible. It is essentially delivered an overview of Java EE 6 components that are not enabled - only WebLogic 12 c is fully Java EE 6 compatible by default, which includes the JPA 2.0.

  • What cases does the HP Pavilion Elite m9040n use?

I want to put new parts inside, because it is quite old. I want to know if all the pieces of my will enter into it. I looked around, the only thing I could find on it is that it is a medium-sized ATX. You are looking for an exact name please!

    Yareen, welcome to the forum.

It takes a Micro-ATX motherboard (Micro-ATX-24, 4 cm (9.6 inches) x 24.4 cm (9.6 in).  The key is to ensure that the spacers for the motherboard in the case match the holes in the motherboard.  This may be a problem with new motherboards and old cases.

Well, to tell you the truth, if you don't want to buy a new computer, I would buy a new case for less than $100 and a motherboard to match.  It would be much easier.  Of course, you can always buy a new HP desktop computer.
