What program should I install to be able to watch movies / downloaded Demonoid

Hi SteveFleming,

·         What is the file extension video are you trying to play?

You can use Windows Media Player to play video and music files.

See the article for more information on the types of files supported by Windows Media Player:

Information on the types of media files that supports Windows Media Player

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/316992

Windows Media Player is integrated into Windows XP and is accessible from the programs.

I hope this helps.

  • What programs should be launched at startup?

Hey all! I was wondering what programs and other things I should have when I turn on my computer. Among the programs I have are TvsTray, TPSMAin, thotkey, TFncKy, SynTPLpr and others. Should what programs I load at startup? Thanks a lot for your help. -John

It depends on what you want to use.
Generally, Toshiba laptops come with different features and these features needs drivers and tools loaded at startup to work properly.
These features are for example the FN, Touchpad hotkeys, etc.

If you don't want to use these applications you can turn it off in the RUN folder in the registry. But I do not recommend to do something like that.
I think you bought a laptop with all this function because you want to use. Am I wrong?
However, for me, these features are very useful, and I don't miss it.

WordPad is only a small step above the notebook and uses no models or many other advanced features.

    Hello

    1. what operating system is installed on your computer?

    2. what type of file you are trying to play?

Types of files supported by Windows Media Center

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/file-types-supported-by-Windows-Media-Center

If the file type you are trying to play is not listed in the files supported by Windows Media Center, then you may need to update the codecs.

To resolve this problem you may try to install the video codec and check if the problem persists.

A codec is a software to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or a video. Windows Media Player and other programs use codecs to play digital media files.

A codec can consist of two components: an encoder and a decoder. The encoder performs the compression function (coding) and the decoder performs the decompression function (decoding). Some codecs include both components and some codecs only one of them.

  • Formatting my hard drive - what programs should I?

    Hello

With my last computer, I had Windows 98 and Microsoft Works for Windows 3.11. I also had a Setup for my disk to disk and a disk with my audio files on it. I would like to format my HDD every month and kept my computer in good condition. I don't have Internet.

Now, I have an Acer laptop and it came with all the programs on it. In Windows 7, Microsoft Office home and student (2010) and Microsoft Home Business (2010). My laptop is connected to the Internet.

Now I am able to format the hard drive without disk? Would I be able to download a Windows 7 program via my cell phone on my computer to give my computer an operating system? Once I have the OS installed on my computer, how can I connect to Internet? Or would it be easier to just buy all the records. I have a disc for Microsoft Office Home and Student (2010).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

With my last computer, I had Windows 98 and Microsoft Works for Windows 3.11. I also had a Setup for my disk to disk and a disk with my audio files on it. I would like to format my HDD every month and kept my computer in good condition. I don't have Internet.

Sounds like an exaggeration.  Exaggerated way.  Do not format a system to operate in great shape.  Proper maintenance and a system can go well for years yet many improvements of operating systems and hardware upgrades.  And * no * you don't have to be a computer expert - in fact - if you can do a full installation of the system correctly - you are overqualified for optimal conservation avoid having to ever make one, IMHO.

Now, I have an Acer laptop and it came with all the programs on it. In Windows 7, Microsoft Office home and student (2010) and Microsoft Home Business (2010). My laptop is connected to the Internet.

    Quite the jump upward.

Now I am able to format the hard drive without disk?

Depends on the method that ACER has given you to restore the system in what we call 'Factory Defaults'.  They may have you create the media you need, they have a way to 'launch' the system so that it automatically restore files stored elsewhere on the same physical hard disk that you are currently using, or both.  They may also be able to provide the installation media in the case of a hard drive failure (contact them - know).

Would I be able to download a Windows 7 program via my cell phone on my computer to give my computer an operating system?

In fact, I do not understand the question.  You use the Internet, your cell phone provides for download (that's your "Internet" you said?)

Once I have the OS installed on my computer, how can I connect to Internet?

You must install all hardware devices provided by Acer drivers and/or manufacturers of individual components to get the operating system communicates properly with all this.  This includes (without limitation) chipset motherboard, audio, video, network and all other devices connected to or internal to the computer you want to use with it.  You will need to download them and have them ready - probably on external support - getting there if it comes to your computer only.

Or would it be easier to just buy all the records. I have a disc for Microsoft Office Home and Student (2010).

No need to buy a DVD operating system - you can download and burn the ISO image or ask an Acer (as I have already suggested) if necessary.

I really think you would be better of your system of formatting DO NOT quite so often.  We invite you to continue to do so if you feel that it gives you something to do, or something else - but it's far from being necessary if the machine is treated as correct all along.  For all where you wouldn't treat the beautiful machine - I suggest virtual machines.  ;-)

  • Equium L300 PSLB2E - what drivers should I install?

    Hello

I just went through a file system failure and I am trying to reset the PC in a working state. I don't have a recovery system at hand disc (I know I should, so don't give me lectures on this topic I am doing this for free for my mother in law, it's his PC).

I was able to reinstall windows with a disk from another system (heresy, of course, but I'll work my way around it – and I don't have a legal license in any case key) and now I want to install the right drivers, but there are too many options [here | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU] and user manual doesn't tell me the exact device models I have in the box. Is there a better way to verify the exact features that I have on this PC (in addition to opening upwards)? Windows 'Device Manager' give me the exact model it "reads" from the material or information that just based on the currently installed driver

I'm not in the same country where the PC was purchased, to order a recovery disc is much heavier it would be generally.

    Thanks for the attention

    Hello

The Toshiba series which begins with PSLB2E-xxxx should be Equium L300
You can choose the Satellite L300 PSLB2E in the form of driver on the European driver Toshiba page
There you should find some compatible drivers!

  • HP envy 14-2090eo: in what order should drivers installed better when you do the clean install

    Hi HP experts...

I want to do a clean install of my Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, and I've always used my recovery disks when it was necessary to format and subsequently updated all the drivers in the support section and drivers HP, but it is a slow process, and I'm not even in what order I should update drivers when it that way or the other , and often a message jumped ud saying ' the driver is not properly installed - try again or the driver is installed correctly. But as mentioned, I want to do a clean install with my Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit disk and would like some experts advise on order in which drivers must be installed. Can anyone help?

    Best regards hpenvy1

    Hello:

The order generally recognized installation of the driver is:

1 install the chipset driver and restart.

    2. install the graphics driver and restart.

    3. install the audio driver and restarted.

    4 install the ethernet driver.

    5. install the wireless driver.

Then you can install a driver you want.

I also do a practice to update to the latest service pack before installing the drivers, if any.

    Hello

A default program is the program used by Windows when you open a particular type of file, such as a music file, an image, or a Web page. For example, if you have more than one web browser installed on your computer, you can choose one of them to be the default browser.

To associate a default program, try this:
Open default programs by clicking the Start button, click default programs.
