What programs support the flc file types

I have files stored as file type "flc". What is the process to find the appropriate programs that will open a particular file?

Ever heard of Google?

  • What program opens the .dvd file created on a Windows XP computer?

I tried to open the video that have a .dvd file extension. I tried several trial programs, but none does not recognize the extension. The videos were created on my old computer using Windows XP, but many programs I moved were lost when the hard drive is gone on my new Vista machine. I do not have Vista Ultimate so I can't use the previous versions feature and I tried so many programs to open these films that the Properties tab shows that this last program that the file 'opens with '. I guess I need to know what program created the.dvd files and what I can do to save them. I don't have the original avi or mpeg files any longer. Thanks in advance,

You're welcome... and thanks for the comments.

Congratulations for the recovery of your files.

  • Cannot open file because Windows needs to know what program created the file

After downloading some files when I try to open the file, I get the message cannot open the file, windows needs to know what program created the file.

    Any suggestions?

Perhaps no program has been assigned to this file format and so you cannot open these files.
I put t know which files you downloaded, but you can choose an application installed that can open these files.

Right click the file and I have to then choose open with.
Then, you could choose the program you want to use.

  • After you install Windows Live Mail, he keeps trying to attribute the .eml file type to itself.

On my office workstation (Windows Server 2008 R2), I use Outlook 2010 to network and business-related emails.  I installed Live Mail 2011 for my personal mail (hotmail, gmail, yahoo, etc) in order to keep it separate and open it only once or twice a day.  I said to Live Mail was not the client by default, but all 60 seconds or so he tries to assign the .eml file type to itself in any case (even if it is not running).  I've got WinPatrol keeping my setup, but I don't want to say no to him, "do not allow this change" once per minute.  How can I send live to accept his secondary position and stop trying to run away with the .eml file type?

original title: let my Filetype Alone!

There is no default program to manage the eml file type in Server 2008 R2, and is not one that is recognized by Outlook.  I would suggest you go ahead and set the eml file type opened by WLM under control panel | Default programs.  Then you can leave it alone, I hope.  If not, then ask in the forum here WLM: www.windowslivehelp.com

  • How to open .zip files in windows media player? I get the msg file type not supported. MP3 files are in the folder.

Hi I downloaded audio files that you want to create a playlist on windows media player to download to my mp3 player so I can be more mobile to study. When I tried to play on windows media player I get error msg-file type is not supported or the codec is not compatible with the player. They are .zip files. inside are the mp3 files that I need to listen to. can someone help me.

    Hello

You need to open ZIP files, which are compressed to make it smaller, then use the content
in the application appropriate - so if the audio or video content can use WMP.

Compress and uncompress files (zip files)
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/compress-and-uncompress-files-ZIP-files

Although Windows has integrated ZIP, you might be more comfortable using a program
with more features (and works with different types of compressed files).

    7ZIP - free

    =========================================
Apple's QuickTime .mov files are not compatible with Movie Maker.

The following freeware can be used to convert the .mov
file in a more convenient format:

Pazera Free MOV to AVI Converter

(click on the blue Download button not the Red)

After you download... Open the program...
    (no installation required)

Drag and drop one or several .mov files...

    Choose an output directory...

Select... WMV AVI - Video Codec - version 1 (WMP 7)...

Convert... (the button in the top tool bar)

When the file is converted, you can change it in Windows
Movie Maker. Just open Movie Maker and go... File /.
Import into Collections and access your converted file.

As for avi, google for a FREE video converter, convert avi to WMV format.
    Now, try to burn again.
