What size of HARD drive is compatible with my Satellite A100-771
Hey guys,.
is there a size limit of HDD for my A100-771?
And what type of HARD drive I need? IDE or SATA?
Thank you very much.
Eathen.
Hi dude
From my experience, the Satellite A100 series was equipped with SATA drives.
There should be a SATA HDD controller and you can use SATA 2.5 hard drives.
I think that there isn t disc HARD size limit since the SATA controller is not limited to all special HARD drive sizes
I think that most SATA HDD must be compatible
Greetings

What types of hard drives are compatible with my laptop HP Folio?
I got a refurbished HP Folio 1029wm. I am statisified with its performance.
It's just for some reason I want to put my hard drive in large capacity.
I wonder if the mSATA SSD is my only option? Alternatives?
As the SATA SSD, or hybrid hard drives, they will be possible to install on my laptop?
Thank you!
Hello
You have no other choice, because no HARD drive, only for mSATA slot as you already don't know:

Spare part number description

What HARD drive is compatible with HP 120W Advanced Docking station (NZ222AA)
Please tell me that HARD drive is compatible with the Bay of integrated upgrade HP 120W Advanced Docking Station (NZ222AA) SATA... I can't find the info nor in the manual the user, or from the HP site. Thanks in advance.
Hello
Please check this:
While neither station can be upgraded, both have a Bay of upgrade which allows you to install an additional hard drive. If you choose to install the additional drive, you will add additional gigabytes to your current mobile storage space. However, if you choose to take advantage of the extra space, a standard hard drive does not fit into the Bay to upgrade. HP offers a hard drive 500 GB, specially designed for the upgrade on the 120W and the 230W Bay; You must order the HDD upgraded through HP.

What's a 2 TB SATA hard drive internal-compatible with the HP Paviliion Elite m9510f?
Hello
I have a desktop PC HP Pavilion Elite m9510f running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and want to install an internal 2 TB SATA hard drive.
I would like to know if this computer (see details of configuration below) supports this 2 TB HDD:
(1) can I use it as a secondary (non-bootable) drive?
(2) what like a bootable disc, it'll work?
(3) do I need to create multiple partitions or a single 2 TB can be created/formatted?
Specifically, I intend using a Seagate Barracuda LP 2 TB 5 900 RPM SATA 3 Gb/s 3.5 "internal hard drive model ST320005N4A1AS-RK

---The word "support" has a connotation that is specific to HP - it usually means were that he tested with, sold with, etc. I do not think that these discs were available when this system was built/designed, and thus the moniker "supported" official cannot be assured.
Everything that is said - I see not where there is a problem with this player. I have a m9600t HP of a similar vintage - I swapped my Seagate 750 GB drive for a 7200 RPM Hitachi 2 TB drive and added an another 2 TB "Green" WD drive as a secondary drive. No problems.
I have used Ghost of Norton to clone the old boot HDD on the Hitachi. Made sure the D: drive Alias: "recovery partition" was kept the same size and then said Norton to use all the space of the new to develop on the c: drive. Works very well. The WD drive - I partitioned as a large drive E:. Made sure to partition to NTFS.
Your mileage may vary - but I think it should work correctly...

What hard drives are compatible with Equium L300-146
Hello
I want to spend my hard drive, but I'm not sure what to choose.
Can someone tell me what would be a good choice? I think somewhere around 320 G.

All hard drives 2.5 SATA must be compatible, since there is no physical limitation of the SATA HDD controller.
So, theoretically, you could take a 500 GB 2.5 SATA HDD.See you soon

This external hard drive is compatible with my iMac 7.1?
Hello, I intend to update my OS X, but first need to buy a hard drive to back up my files. I found this one, but I don't know if it is compatible with my iMac mid 2007. Can you please advise me if it will work?
The external hard drive is this:
1 to, G-Drive Mobile 5400 RPM, USB 2.0, 2.5 in.
These are my computer specs:
Model name: iMac
Model identifier: iMac7, 1
Processor name: Intel Core 2 Duo
CPU speed: 2 GHz
Number of processors: 1
Total number of cores: 2
L2 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 1 GB
Bus speed: 800 MHz
Boot ROM version: IM71.007A.B03
Version of the SCM (System): 1.20f4
Serial number (System): W8 * X 85
Material UUID: *.
I know that USB 2.0 will be very slow, but I don't mind. I've only used 1.4 GB of space on my computer anyway.
Thank you

In General, external hard drives are universal, so they will work with any computer. The particular drive you say should work perfectly.
http://www.g-technology.com/products/g-drive-mobile-1-TB-bus-powered-hard-drive
You don't even have to format it because it comes pre-format for right of Mac Out of the box.
Given that your Mac has only USB ports 2.0, he "does get a USB drive 3.0" Also the read speed of the internal hard disk will be always much slower than the speed of the USB 2 bus, so no need to have extra speed on the connection, you will not be able to use. You probably won't notice it in any way.

What size of HARD drive should input--> expert mode
Hello
I cannot using the last portion of the expert mode where you can specify the size of the new disk.
I don't know what value to enter in the space.
When I click on enter, he keeps emphasizing it and do nothing.Help, please
You must put the size of the partition you would like to have.
The expert mode of the parts of the HARD drive into 2 partitions. The operating system would be installed on the first partition. The second partition is hidden initially
You can make it visible in disk management settings. -
250 GB USB external hard drive is compatible with Mac OS x on an iBook G4?
Hello
I just bought a Toshiba 250 GB Usb external hard drive because the seller advised me telling me that it works in my iBook G4 Mac OSX computer.
I made it and I see it on my desktop with a folder called System Volume Information and 2.32 GB available.
I tried to copy a file and I got a message saying that the disk is not editable.
Where can I find the instructions to initialize if it's compatible?
Thanks in advance,
Joan

What are the hard drives of compatible replacement for HP Pavilion DV6T-3000?
I have a HP Pavilion DV6T-3000 PC laptop, and S.M.A.R.T. has constantly warned me of impending hard disk failure. I already reinstalled the hard drive, and I still get error 301 s.m.a.r.t. Currently, I have the hard drive supplied with this notebook: A Western Digital Scorpio Mobile Hard Drive (WD5000BEKT-60KA9T0). Can someone tell me if this drive (http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=130) is compatible? If not, could someone recommend me a compatible spare for my laptop hard drive? Thank you.

External hard drive is compatible with Windows 7
I have an older SimpleTech external hard drive. It does not connect with my most recent computer with Windows 7 on this matter. The error I get, is that there are no drivers. I need TO get all the items on that hard drive... photos of family for the last 10 years... How can I get it connects so that I can just remove the hard drive and move it to my computer? Help, please!
VH
If it is a USB (USB true) it should work on xp, vista and win 7 because they are retro-compatible.
If you can not easily find someone with XP and your hardware supports you could run a virtual machine and load XP on it.
It could also be visible on the Open source OS's like Linux.

Satellite A40 - what size of HARD drive max is possible
This Satellite A40 has a 40 GB drive at 4200 RPM.
Looking for 120 GB and 160 GB.This question is to know if I can consider a higer RPM one / or access time.
What are the limits?
Maurice Newsome
Hello
I presume that the A40 supports an IDE HDD ATA-5 controller.
In this case the 120 GB is the max of the LBA 28 bitBut in your case I would first test an 80 GB or 120 GB HARD drive.
