  Hello, I am a new user of Apple, and I bought a refurbished MacBook Pro 15 "retina, 2015, with the i7-4980HQ 4.0 GHz.

  I also tried on Windows installed with Boot Camp and the CPU, in Manager tasks, never reach 4 GHz, but max 3.9 GHz, also with heavy artillery support. In addition, with Cinebench and Prime95 (both in window), the Task Manager indicates maximum 3.0 GHz under full load.

  I'm sorry for the length of the post, but I'm really scared about the integrity of this new machine. What do you think?

  You have a guarantee, I presume. Have the dealer check it out. If it is a machine renovated Apple, contact Apple about the problem.

  With any other information that you have provided us are not in a position to say something meaningful on your machine.

  The Snow Leopard is one of the more stable OS Ive ever used, but you won't have a lot of features.  Mavericks is in the Middle, has more features and is always quite stable. I would, however, try to reinstall El Capitan, or deleting some files to free up space.

  I got my first Mac, a Macbook Pro. Yay!  Now, of course after more than a decade of use of MS products I am at a loss what to choose for my Mac. I buy MS Office in Outlook for Mac and everything's fine.

  Now I need to figure out a banking software and comments drive crazy me.  As a long time Quicken user, Quicken Mac reviews are horrible. I wish Ms would bring MS Money, but it's not going to happen. Best software compared to what we have now. Even though I have Quicken I really don't like it.

  So, I heard there are other financial software out there that can run on a Mac. I checked money dance but it seems that the conversion is a nightmare because a Mac does not support a QIF file.

  I use this type of software only for personal use. I do not keep my investments or a budget on my computer. I'm just needing a simple online verification and the end of decent exercise software statement. I don't have to much to do because we do not fund a new society and the need to ensure the monitoring of loans.

  I bought a new macbook pro 13 "2015 with the apple retina display"premium reseller"in Singapore, I stayed here for 2 days only for business trip.

  After to return home (Israel), due to the relatively quiet environment, I noticed noises weird fan (sounds enough) low-end (around 1300 ~ 1400), the noise sounds like there is something touching the blade fans and often happens when Im holding the macbook in different angels.

  A week later I noticed "click on" sounds when the tilt of the laptop, after some research (by browsing the web), I found that there is a plate inside the screen that turns freely after the display heating somewhat.

  My default source entry shortcut is (Ctrl + space), but when I compared the shortcut MacBook with my colleagues, I found that their shortcut (cmd + space). I do not remember to set\change the shortcut since the purchase of the macbook, and nobody messed with it once I got it of course. When U tried to restore the default shortcut for the preference, he remained the same as it is by default, however, as far as I know the supposed default shortcut be cmd + space.

  My battery life is low compared to my colleagues MacBooks (the same models, and one of them even got high 2.9 GHZ model). I don't use chrome and I have no other applications running in the background. IM checking the activity monitor often and I'm not saying any application that drains my battery though the time I usually get my battery gives me 4 hours to 75%. The battery status shows normal. I charge my battery by following the instructions and parameters are defined to save the battery (bluetooth off, half the brightness value, bright keyboard is off etc.)

  I went to the apple in Israel dealer to repair the fan noise and now I'm waiting for them to give me a computer for which mine will be under contract (up to 10 business days).

  I would like to know what you think of my case.

  Your command-space shortcut is good by default. Their setting is not the default.

  You don't have a DVD player inside the computer in order to install the software.

  Download the trial version on the Adobe site and who activate with your serial number. I usually use this option on my MacBook Air.

  or buy an external DVD drive to low prices, connect it to your Mac via a USB port and install the software from the DVD using them. I sometimes use this option when traveling when I don't want to wear out my allocation of mobile data by downloading GB of software.

  Current on the retina of MacBook Pro's built-in display is an LCD with LED backlight. According to iFixit who regularly dismantle the new Macs, there's a row of 48 LEDs at the bottom of the screen.
