What to do with large channel count screens?

My experience with large channel count, it's that you need to separate the mass shielding of the data acquisition system.  The current shields can be very high especially for number of major routes.  What would NEITHER take on that?  I think it is difficult to ensure that the ground used by the chassis is a real land.

Hi Kyle,.

I understand.  It would be better to be careful in this case.  Its impossible to know how much noise is induced in our environment.  Shields will go to a large plate (real Earth) and does not pass through the equipment NOR.

Maybe NEITHER is going to try an experiment with 1000 channels or more in a noisy environment to test the PXI chassis.

    I used the migration assistant to transfer all the data from my old macbook pro to my new iMac, now the images in the Photos seem to be blurred, with large pixels. Recorded images were of high resolution, why what is happening? Is it possible to fix it. In the old macbook pro, the image looks ok.

    Migration assistant has a really bad experience with iPhoto and Photos

    If you still your old MB of available space, connect it to your new Mac (network, mode target firewire or use an external to the Mac OS extended (journaled) format hard drive and drag the iPhoto library folder images on the new Mac and heck the iPhoto library to icon in the Dock to migrate Photos)

  • acquisition of continuous sample with multiple channels

    Hello! Please tell me what I'm doing wrong here, I'm confused about how the acquisition of continuous sample with several channels (using NI USB-6215 boxes).

    Following code is python code, but I don't know who confuse you (and it's only a part of my code in order to not try, it won't work

    buffer_size = 2000 #samples to read
    sampling_rate_hz = 20000
    channels = "Dev1/ai0 ai1/Dev1" #this can be a string or a large number...

    CHK (nidaq. DAQmxCreateTask ("", ctypes.byref (taskHandle)))

    CHK (nidaq. DAQmxCreateAIVoltageChan (taskHandle, channels,"", DAQmx_Val_Cfg_Default, float64(-10.0), float64 (10.0), DAQmx_Val_Volts, None "))

    CHK (nidaq. DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming (taskHandle,"", float64 (sampling_rate_hz), DAQmx_Val_Rising, DAQmx_Val_ContSamps, uInt64 (buffer_size) "))

    CHK (nidaq. DAQmxRegisterEveryNSamplesEvent (taskHandle, DAQmx_Val_Acquired_Into_Buffer, uInt32 (1000), uInt32 (0), EveryNCallback_func, None))

    CHK (nidaq. DAQmxRegisterDoneEvent (taskHandle, uInt32 (0), DoneCallback_func, None))

    the callback function #and

    def py_EveryNCallback_func (self, taskHandle, event_type, nSamples):
    data = numpy.zeros ((self.channel_amount,buffer_size,), dtype = numpy.float64)
    read = int32()
    CHK (nidaq. DAQmxReadAnalogF64 (taskHandle, buffer_size, float64 (10.0), DAQmx_Val_GroupByScanNumber, data.ctypes.data, buffer_size * number_of_channels, ctypes.byref (read), None))

    With only one channel, everything's fine, and tension diagram looks like this:

    buffer_size = 2000, sampling_rate_hz = 20000

    But if I use two channels, voltage diagram looks like this

    buffer_size = 2000, sampling_rate_hz = 20000

    It looks like the sampling rate is higher or there are fewer values?, but with two channels with the results table is 2000 * 2 long and with a single result is 2000 * 1 long is not smaller

    most of the settings important (?) in my code:

    DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming "float64 rate": 20000 (sampling_rate_hz)
    'UInt64 sampsPerChanToAcquire' DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming: 2000 (buffer_size)
    DAQmxRegisterEveryNSamplesEvent "uInt32 nSamples": 1000 (?)
    'Int32 numSampsPerChan' DAQmxReadAnalogF64: 2000 (buffer_size)
    DAQmxReadAnalogF64 "float64 [] readArray": [[buffer_size] * number_of_channels]
    'UInt32 arraySizeInSamps' DAQmxReadAnalogF64: buffer_size * number_of_channels

    as you can see nSamples is a big question mark, but the problem still exists if I set variable buffer_size y (2000)

    Hi Dazzler,

    It is not a multi-channel example that ships with the driver, but after a quick look at the code that you use in your third post, everything seems to be configured correctly. The only thing I was thing I got a question about your plots. Looks like you draw each time the same number of points. If you draw just the table of data directly from the playback feature, you need to draw (buffer_size * number_of_channels) number of channels since the data returned is as an interlaced array. You can also choose to deinterleave samples. More information about this lie in the NOR-DAQmx C reference help, which is installed with the NOR-DAQmx driver.

  • What's up with the bridge color management?

    After obtaining a range wide screen (Eizo S2243W), it was a pleasure to be able to see the Adobe RGB colors that I knew were in the file, but previously could not be displayed. Although the Windows desktop and interface elements user sounds loud, I got used to that.

    ID, PS, AI, everything works perfectly. But I discovered that the bridge does not follow suit. The funny is that it shows the mute, standard version for 'gamut' - saturated not as one would expect with a range wide screen and non-functional color management (if this is the case). The only reasonable explanation for what I see is that the document profile is converted to sRGB. I can't reproduce otherwise.

    I'm no stranger to the color of help desk management, and according to my experience, the prime suspect in this case is still the monitor profile. So I've done several things to validate the profile. I recalibrated using the calibrator Eizo grouped with its EX1 (actually just a renamed Spyder3) sensor, and I recalibrated using color eyes Display Pro with another probe Spyder3. I also tried with Adobe RGB as the monitor profile just for troubleshooting.

    In all cases, I checked in the color settings PS that the profile has been actually used, and in any case, the effect of muting still shows in Bridge. Now, I am sure that PS/ID/HAVE rendering is indeed good. Suite color management is synchronized, using Adobe RGB as RGB working space.

    I have also purged caches of bridge in every way I can think and then reset the preferences of Bridge by ctrl-launch and control of the confirmation dialog box.

    The screenshots of the following two require a color managed browser and a range wide screen, since the difference is outside the sRGB gamut. The first used Adobe RGB as a monitor profile and a Adobe Integrated RGB, the second has the Eizo monitor profile assigned and integrated. They are similar, but the other should show exactly as I see it (click to view the display not set cache, the difference does not directly show in Firefox):

    test adobeRGB.jpg

    test monitor RGB.jpg

    Any ideas what is happening here?

    (Also published in the forum for color management)

    Sorry, that was a little short.

    Bridge poster of the images based on the pre-rendered JPEG files that it stores in its memory cache. It's thumbnails, larger and sometimes 100% previews previews. When creating these JPEG files, it uses made color Relative to the color space sRGB. However, it is usually * displays them correctly, based on the primary poster color profile.

    * Sometimes it gets bad, and you must minimize/maximize the window to retrieve.

  • Good NON-animation codec with alpha channel?

    I'm looking for something that will give good resolution without strapping or artifacts in the transparent areas. The animation is too large in file size to use.

    I have 720 p images, and I tried the DNxHD codec to 110mbit 29.97 10 bit, but I still get bands.

    I have try the 59.97 220mbit 10 bit and who looks better, but it's the wrong frame rate.

    Any thoughts on a good codec with decent size that has a good representation of the alpha channel?

    Maybe I'm misunderstanding of the pace thing.

    When I go to an animation of 90fps (in the model fps game) motion graphics effects with 720 p 220 DNxHD codec 59,94 10 bit, quicktime shows I'm replaying to 90 frames per second. So that means when the codec says it's for 59.94?

    The PNG codec to highest quality is also a codec lossless, like Animation. That's what I use in QuickTime containers when I want to preserve the alpha channel for intermediate files between post-production applications. For photo-realistic images, the size of the files tend to be half of what you get with Animation.

  • I use 'best home Ever' and itwent too large for the screen and my firefox too bar isn't there?

    I use a Best Ever home page to my home page and my son was using the computer while I wasn't there and it changed somethings. The 'homepage' is giant size now and I don't know how do it as if it was. Also the toolbar file, bookmarks, etc. is gone.
    I'm not the best to try to figure out what to do with the computer!
    I have no idea how some of the 'installed plugins' (belo) got there?

    Try to press and hold CTRL on the keyboard and press 0
    the control key is on the left background (& right)
    0 is the digit zero

    Using Ctrl + 0 to reset the zoom, it is fixed for each site, note.

    To get your toolbar back, try pressing the Alt Key keyboard (it's probably next to the space bar) and may temporarily cause the menu bar to display, pressing V then T should give you options to set the toolbars you want to display for example, the bookmarks toolbar. Note your sone may well make use of the firefox button, which also provide similar access to features

    Be in full-screen mode, which also causes the menu bars disappear, display, try pressing the F11 key on the keyboard (wait a few seconds as the screen to redraw) should switch you to the full screen in.

    One thing you can in view of the future is implemented on your Vista operating system separate accounts for your self and your son, so that way everyone can to some extent make changes the way they like without unduly harming the other.

    When Setup like that each user has their own profiles for firefox and once again the changes can be made separately.

    There could be other reasons for your problems, but I assume that your son has just forgotten to redefine the parameters on those that you had used.

    Make sure that you run not Firefox mode full screen (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: Ctrl + Shift + F).
    If you are in full screen view then hover over with the mouse upward to make the bar appear Navigation and tab bar.
    You can click the maximize button in the upper right to leave the mode full screen or empty space of a right-click on a toolbar and use "exit full screen" or press F11.

    • Use Restore or expand in the context menu of the taskbar icon to set the focus to the Firefox application if you do not see the window of Firefox.
    • Open the system menu via Alt + space and see if you can move and resize the window.

  • Get the new laptop, what to do with my old

    I have a Compaq Presario CQ 60 2008. It is short-term memory. Technical Support function, I need to upgrade my laptop at least 8 GB of memory. If I do this, will it put something else to manage the memory upgrade?

    According to the post, I have read here, being my OS was oringinally XP, upgrade to Windows 7 with Microsoft and is a 32-bit... I understand that it will only move to 4 GB. But support says that I need 8GB.

    It's old and nearlly complete. I do not know how to clean 3 years of studies to it. I have a backup disk. (15 CD)

    I probably just need a new, but what I do with this old? It always works well.

    I'm a nursing student full time I'm going to need a lot of ram to our interactive graphic software.

    Can anyone provide a bit of advice well informed as to what I should do?

    If I update, what do I need to upgrade in addition to memory.

    If I buy a new one, what should I do with this one because it still works well. ?

    Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Hello

    Interactive graphical software, I think that you need a better graphics card in your system more than anything else. 8 GB memory minimum is recommended however. I don't know if your processor is large enough for these tasks too.

    Windows 7 32 bit can use up to ~3.75gb so upgrade up to 4 GB of RAM, is profitable.
    If you need to use 8 GB, you must install 64-bit Windows 7 (you can install Windows 7 64 bit with the same authentic product key, you used to install the 32 bit OS, you just need ISO file Windows 7 64 bit to make the Windows installation disc)

    You didn't on your laptop - exact model number, the name of the template?

    If the cost of doing all these upgrade is superior to the performance's will offer its do better with laptop cheap with many more performance box. That you have to search and find.

    Rather than burn your data & other files on CD, I suggest you just buy an external hard drive. You can get 500 GB, 1 TB of external hard drives ($70).

  • What I do with gdiplus.dll?

    What I do with gdiplus.dll? He appeared recently on a separate disc I have. I have several internal hard drives. It is not on the c drive.

    I can't know when it appeared, and it is probably due to an update of Windows.

    Any advice?

    Thank you.

    I have 7 copies of gdiplus.dll in different folders.

    One is for the FTP program I use, one for MS Office, one for a program to screen capture that I use and the other 4 are in different windows side by side (c:\windows\WinSxS...) files.  All the gdiplus.dll file are made by Microsoft, but they are different versions under the folder of installation of these programs.

    I don't have Nero installed so can't look down there.

    Files in WinSxS files are created and filled when you install several C++ Redistributable Runtime and contain executable files and DLLs that some third-party programs that you have installed may have need, so you could have more, less or no files in WinSxS.  WinSxS is the technology that allows you to have multiple copies of the different versions of the files with the same name on your system at the same time.

    Some of mine back in 2001, but it is not the date they have been installed, it is the date of creation of the file.  Some of my friends are of different sizes, dates and versions, but all belong to Microsoft (look at the properties, the company and the product name).  The programs that need to use the gdiplus.dll file to retrieve the copy they need to in the right place at the right time when they need.

    If you say where you found the file mysterious gdiplus (which is the full folder path to the file), then you know what program installed and put there.  I don't think it should just be hanging around flapping in the breeze, a place...

    If you don't like it, rename it to something like gdiplus.xxx and if something he needs to spend between the program and your screen or printer and can't find it, I can see this program would be a bad operation and if all goes well complain is missing.

  • Help with Windows Vista black screen

    I have a Windows Vista SP1 64 bit with 8 GB of RAM and 2 3850's Radeon ATi CrossFireX. in any case, I have a program called mechanical system, you've all probably heard before, this is an excellent program to clean your hard disk and defragment your memory. However, I ran last night and said the program automatically restarts the computer when it ended, after that he finished and I rebooted was greeted with the atrocious Black Screen of Death with a cursor, if it is not blinking and I can move it freely, but there is nothing I can do with it given the background task bar is non-existent and the entire screen is black.

    I tried some of the solutions, I can not even the CTRL + ALT + DELETE to get into task manager and manually start explorer.exe; Help me please. The only type of response I can get from the system is to obtain the keys to stick to pop up when I hit the SHIFT key five times. I am very confused. I don't have external hard drives hooked up to it and there is no thumb-drive connected via USB either. I'm completely puzzled here. Please help me.

    Hello

    System Mechanic, by Iolo is one of the best of this type of program, he's trying to at least
    be legitimate, however it is still a Registry Cleaner and system optimizer that leaves a
    much to be desired in terms of compatibility. These programs are more likely to ask questions
    While fixing anything. Most are like snake oil. So my advice would be to uninstall. If you insist
    use make sure you have done a current Restore Point before using it and keep current backups
    on the primary drive.

    No saving necessary data and re-installing Windows Vista might be the best option, but here
    are a few others.

    You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd disk (best) or external
    Drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD or other USB drives.
    Of course a real store of the computer or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files.

    Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.

    A method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure) is CTRL +.
    ALT + DELETE - Manager tasks and tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - and then
    on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is available by
