What to do with the files not consolidated

I tried to move my iTunes library on an external hard drive, so that it became very big for my existing HD. I tried to group my files, but some files may not be grouped for a reason any. I got the error message "cannot copy. "The file name is not valid or too long. I ran a program that lists the files that could not be consolidated. I now have a list of unbound songs 4745. How can I get these songs to consolidate?

Thank you

You could try my ConsolidateByMovingscript. What is the path to your new media folder? Ideally, it would be something like X:\iTunes\iTunes media short where X: is the letter to an external drive. See also make a library of portable split.
