  Well Chrome is a good browser.

   After you closed Firefox and ran the update, it then should have finished and opened the default browser to the Adobe web site that has a spinning box, this will say you are up to date. Did this happen for you.
   If so then I would check Windows list of installed program and see if you have flash and see if that date corresponds with the day you updated. The version number should be 10.3.183.7

  I ask about the difference between these two applications, because I tried to install a more recent version of flash player. I have 11.4.402.265 and is 11.4.402.278.  somehow, though, I headed in install shockwave player 11.5.9.620 instead.  (I had other problems too, but they are quite different, so I'll fix it in a separate debate.)

  now I just need to know if I destroyed my computer, if I should try to undo what I have done, what have I made, need I or not if it matter if I have these two programs on my computer at the time, and other issues that people more knowledgeable can say I need to ask questions about but I am too tech -UNsavvy to know to include.

  As a general rule, it is best to only post in a forum. The reason is that someone can take the time to answer, but the answer can already provided elsewhere. I'll answer the question here and you can post to your topic on the forum Flash that you have received a response.

  The difference is:

  Flash Player - play content with extension SWF, often created with Adobe Flash Pro. There are other tools that can publish to swf format. Illustrator can even export to swf format.

  Shockwave Player - play content with the DCR extension - created with Adobe Director.

  The term Shockwave has confused people in the past. Flash was Shockwave Flash. Now, Flash and Shockwave are separate things. It shouldn't damage your computer to have both installed. They are the two plugins web trust. If you have installed the from the Adobe Web site, you should be fine.

  Since 06/10/12, Adobe flash 11.3 wouldn't work in Firefox 13. On any web site. I had no problem with IE. I run Vista, last updated.

  None of the answers on this site solved my own problems.

  Here's how I successfully addressed the issue:

  (1) I removed all the caches of Adobe Flash as shown in http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-games-video-or.html#main_6__Remove_Flash_Player_cache .

  (2) I uninstalled all instances of Adobe Flash through programs and features in Control Panel.

  (3) I rebooted my computer and Firefox.

  (4) I open YouTube in Firefox. He led me (automatically) to install Adobe Flash 11.2.202.235. If I was aware of this version prior to version current (11.3) version, I have been unable to locate it by download on the Adobe site.

  Flash then reworked in Firefox 13.0.

  My initial dose unfortunately only lasted about an hour.

  Who did the trick. Flash now works in all websites. Google Earth also works.

  I've had the same error/question and that how I fixed it quickly:

  Step 1: Visit this site to download a previous archived Flash Player versions

  Step 2: Download Flash Player 15.0.0.152 (Firefox Win and Mac) (132 MB) version-> (published on 09/09/2014) (although I believe that any recent version of MAC should do, this worked for me)

  Step 3: Install the step 2 Flash drive.

  Step 4: Download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (which initially would not work)

  Step 5: The problem should be solved. You're just back your update and re-install to fix.

  I've updated safari to this latest version. I then updated Adobe flash for Chrome version 23.0.0.162. I then tried to play the League of angels and it worked.

  Then I have updated Flash Version 23.0.0.162 (for Safari) and now when I try to play the League of angels, it says ' game RPG, please install the latest version of flash. So how do you work? The game still works with chrome, but I would like to use Safari.

  I have a program that refers to Adobe Acrobat Pro.  Previously, we have been using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 8 and would like to upgrade to the latest version.  I downloaded a trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro XI to test the program with, but I get an error when you try to create an adobe object.  The error that says it cannot create the object.  Doing some research I found that it is probably a result of me having an unregistered version of Adobe Acrobat Pro on my machine.  It is cancelled, since this is the trail version.

  My question is, am I able to test that the program works with the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Pro without having to buy first?  We would of course it works with the new version before you buy licenses for the version for our users.

  Your another program may need to be updated to a new version. There are changes to the way in which you call by Acrobat and Reader via IAC (Inter Application Communication) program so if you are a programmer, you may need to make some changes.  If you're not the programmer of the other application then as said previously he may need to be upgraded to a newer version as well.
