  You should get the retail pro 10 Windows version as your system is Windows 8.1 installed at retail.

  You probably don't need to know what version of Windows, but the Panel of configuration/system will tell you if you are interested.   Looks like the copy of Windows 7, you were trying to install from Windows XP Home Edition is a 64-bit version.

  You will need to boot from the DVD 64 bit Windows 7:

  Not to complicate things.  It is really as easy as adding the physical drive and selecting the one-way glass, given what you have so far.
