WhatsApp restoration questions

I went into the Apple store earlier and they did a software restore.  I tried to restore all my apps since... It takes forever.  I deleted most of my apps and left some.  WhatsApp guard arrive at 99% and falling back to 94% for the last three hours.  Can anyone tell me please what I need to do? Thank you.

I suggest you wait a while. A large number of users are updating the devices, and questions with the Apple servers. If you continue to have problems with Whatsapp, you can also contact support Whatsapp.

  • upgraded to iPhone 7 + restore question

just got my iPhone from 7 + and due to backup my iPhone to my computer 6.

After restoring my iPhone 7 everything looks good, but he wants to download all the apps via wifi.

my computer not backup applications too?

is it better to just redownload all apps?

    Thank you

Only if you have downloaded all your apps using iTunes on your computer. If this isn't the case, then you need to re - download via iTunes. Download purchased apps again is free. Download after purchase and that last download buy from the App Store, the iBookstore and iTunes Store.

  • Restore questions - anyone else?

My husband and I arrived at the moment where an upgrade was due. Before picking up our new phones, I backed up my 5s using iTunes with no error and my husband saved her by using the LG software he had.

Once at home, my husband used the LG software to restore its apps, etc... It was spotless and there was operational in 30 minutes. It's the end of his story. It just worked. My story, however, not so much...

When I tried to restore my settings with iTunes, I got a half a dozen in the drop-down list of choices with the same name. There is no way to differentiate between them. We'll call this 'Apple fail #1 user experience '. Frustrated, I started working down the list of names to meet failures at every turn. I was able to locate the backup folder on my hard drive from the backup I made before my new phone, but there was no way to tell iTunes to use this folder (Apple fail #2 user experience). Finally, I arrived at what seems to be the entry related to the root of the correct backup folder, and tried to restore from there. After working for a while, iTunes doesn't have the process with "an error has occurred." What a mistake? Who knows. He did not. Error number? Nope. More information in the windows event log? No (Apple fail #3 user experience). You can also call this last part 'explosive software implementation' because if you can't bother to help the user solve their problem during an operation of such criticism, you have really no writing or software distribution company.

Ok. Now, it appeared likely that my data was missing and I have to rebuild all of my apps, settings, etc... from scratch--by hand and it was entirely the fault of Apple. It's when I've reached the threshold of "25% of what I will switch to android next time." Then, noticing that there was a "restoration of the cloud" option and in a last effort to not have to rebuild all my content from gap, I chose it. It seemed to start and don't give me any errors, so I went about my business, while it worked. Enough of my apps were restored pretty quickly that I thought that the race was over and that this last line of defence had saved me, so I've calmed down and left the process to lament how the iPhone and iTunes experience has become in recent years.

I live in the country and we have internet WiMax which is not so fast, is quite expensive, and has a 150 GB of data monthly ceiling before begin to charges by Go. Since I was moving a 32 GB is not entirely full-5s, I thought I'd be fine while restoring iCloud continued. Yet once... not so much. Over the next week, my family has noticed that the internet has been slower than normal but don't think it correlates with my phone. It wasn't until we got the opinion of our ISP we had managed to hit our cap of monthly data TOGETHER in a single week my husband started scouring the network for the offending device. PSI has provided a chart dated usage and - surprise - the valves open when the iPhone came home and was essentially at full speed all the time.

Somehow, the iPhone--in its attempt to restore far less than 32 GB of data had managed to consume 150 GB of traffic. Happening all right beyond the 'Apple fail #4 user experience' only in order to "Apple apparently doesn't care any more." Thanks to this complete omission from Apple and only Apple - my internet Bill was higher that it should have been $ 45.

But, it's ok. Live and learn. Everyone knows this kind of failure on many levels?

Nope. Whenever I have restore from an iCloud upward, I do do so via a WiFi connection because the data rates and all that jazz.

Sounds typical honestly, but then again I just run with most of the problems because I never assume that nothing is perfect or will work as expected 100% of the time. It's just technology for the yah!  But it's also my personal point of view.

Sorry to hear about the hiccups, but at least you never know to restore from a backup of iCloud at home again. (Also to * with data-caps, they ruin any good on the internet.)

  • Vista system restore question after malware attack

Hello.  My wife's computer has been attacked by malware.  It all hid on the desktop and the start menu as well as all his personal files, has launched a large number of pop-up windows - up with fake error messages and then prompted to pay an unknown technical support source.  I used the Vista system restore to restore the system to a few days before the attack.  According to the instructions of Windows help, the system restore should not affect his personal files.  I was hoping that his files would be present again after the restore, but they are still missing.  The malware seems to have disappeared now.  Any suggestions on where its files can be located or what measures you need a professional to get back them?

    Hello

You may also still have some malware installed.

Read the information on the link provided (Section 19 and 21) on the way to "unmask" data and Start Menu as a few skins of Malware.

  • Restore questions after replacing the hard drive

I have created a backup image and restore full of my computer after getting the hard drive errors via the MS utility on a USB key.  I replaced the hard drive internal and restored Vista using recovery disks.  Now when I want to restore the backup, Windows is not recognize files of backup/recovery.  What am I supposed to do?

    Hello

Since you have replaced the hard drive and you try to install Windows on the new drive. Whenever the hard drive is replaced, the operating system must be reinstalled and restore all data you have saved

  • Windows restore question

My HARD drive is about to fail, I use Windows Vista restore disk to install windows on my new HARD drive with the old drive still in service?

You can do it, but it will set up a dual boot situation and then you will need to manually edit the boot files to fix the problem or you will not be able to access either system, when you remove the old disk of Vista.  It's complicated and a lot can go wrong.  You'd better back up your data (or do an easy funds transfer), format the old drive and then install Vista on the new drive.  When finished installing, then you MUST uninstall it from the original disc if you haven't done so already (it may be installled on a single computer or disc at once).

You may need to manually activate the new installation.

To activate manually, go to start, search, and type in slui 4 enter.  Enter your country and press Next.  You will be on a screen with a phone number and a bunch of codes below.  Dial the number and browse automatic guests until you get to a human being.  Have your handy product code because it will be asked.  Explain the situation, but it's the same PC and only installed on this PC.  They should give you a code to enter on this screen to activate Vista.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Computer restore question

I recently restored my computer back to factory settings and I was wondering if I should put the updates of Windows on the first, or if I should put my anti-virus on the first and update it.  Thanks to all those who respond.

    Hello

Add that updates first just to be sure they all take before installing the antivirus.

    I hope this helps.

  • Another factory Dell Restore Question

    Hello

I have a dell xps l702x. I have upgraded to Windows 8 and needed to do a factory restore.

So I reinstalled WIndows 7 manually with the Dell installation disk. I this point I still have the dell recovery partition and the image file still exists.

Now I try F8 > Advanced Boot Option > repair, the Dell Datasafe option restore an emergency backup and does not appear.

I guess something must be installed to add this option in the windows recovery options. No idea what it is?

Again, the restore partition is always and never was affected.

    Thank you.

If an operating system has been installed manually or modified system partitions that the recovery partition is no longer works, and does not appear in the F8 menu.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones backup/restore question

When you perform a backup or restore, all information on the microSD card is copied/restored?  If this is not the case, how do save you songs, photos, etc. which are on the map?  You copy right Info windows Explorer?  I'm under win7RC and have a Tour.

While I think about it, I would get a larger microSD card.  What is the best way to transfer information from the old card to the new?

Thank you in advance for a new type

The backup/restore process does not affect the media card. You can just use Windows Explorer to copy the content of the press card. I just got a new media map recently and I just copied the entire folder BlackBerry on my PC, then insert the new card, then copied the BlackBerry folder on the memory card.

You don't specify your version of Oracle... on 11g, you can use the cp command in the ASMCMD menu.
