  Recently, I try to open JPG files in Windows Mail and get an error message window that says that "Windows cannot find"filename.jpg"make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again" I can save the JPG file, then open it, but Windows Mail won't open it by simply clicking on the attachment JPG.

  There has been reports of this behavior with only some files (.jpg or .pdf) and the reports of this problem with each attachment after installing IE8.  Frankly, they are quite few and inconsistent and avisnon there is no clear solution.  Try these two steps in this order.

  There are other actions that must be reported to temporarily fix the problem - move to the location of the internet temportary file, for example.  Another reported a little is to uninstall IE8 and then reinstall it with all the temporarily disabled third-party security software.

  Since you have only this problem with .jpg files, you can try to reset file associations for .jpg.  Open an administrator command prompt (right click on cmd in the start menu and choose "Run as Administrator").  In the administration command prompt window, type the following lines exactly as shown:

  The file is part of the malware MyWebSearch toolbar. Either you have uninstalled the malware program or your antivirus/antispyware program did. In all cases, a reference has been left in the boot file. You can remove the reference by managing your startup.

  Because you had a piece of malware, the chances are too high you had others. It would be a good idea to scan. I recommend to download and install MalwareBytes' anti-malware (MBAM) from http://www.malwarebytes.org . The program is free. (There is a paid version, but you don't need to buy it to remove the malware).

  Manage startup:

  (for XP) Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

  This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

  For me, this looks like a pest of a kind or a useless BHO (Browser Helper Object) that has been installed on your computer when you have downloaded and installed another program.  If the program is displayed in the control of configuration\Ajouter remove programs then uninstall it.  If it is not in Add/Remove programs look in your web browser options and remove it.

  Same thing here.  Looks like Windows did an automatic update during the night, and now nothing iCloud associated work (calendars, contacts, etc.)

  I also noticed that the error message: "could not load file or Assembly ' MOM." Implementation ' or one of its dependencies.  The system cannot find the specified file. "It started after restarting the Windows Update as well.  I imagine that the two are related in the same problem to iCloud.

  (3) you are able to install any other software on your computer?

  (4) what fix - it you try to run?

  This occurs if the filevbscript.dll runtime script is not properly registered in the system.

  Try the steps below and check if you are able to run the Microsoft fixit.

  a. click the Start button, type cmd. In the result of the research with the right button on cmd and select run as administrator.

  b. type cd %windir%\system 32 (Note: there is a space between the system and 32) and press ENTER.

  c. type regsvr32 vbscript.dll in the command prompt, and then press ENTER.

  d. type regsvr32 jscript.dll in command prompt, and then press ENTER.

  If the registration was successful, you should now see the following message is displayed:

  DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll successful.

  e. now, try to run the Microsoft fixit.

  Here are the complete instructions

  1. Click http://www.revouninstaller.com/download-freeware-version.php to start the download of Revo-Uninstaller program
  2. Depending on your browser, you will see a download box where you can double-click on the file.
     1. Internet Explorer: middle of the background screen.
     2. Mozilla Firefox: a new window will appear where you must save the file first.  Look for the Green down arrow in the upper right.
     3. Google Chrome: lower the left side of the screen.
  3. Click on run. (If you have a security with active protection program, it can run a security scan to check the file)
  4. If prompted, select your preferred language
  5. Follow the prompts on the screen to install Revo-Uninstaller
  6. When you're done, make sure run Revo-Uninstaller 1.95 is checked and click Finish
  7. Revo-Uninstaller is now open
  8. A list of installed programs will appear. On the left, click the program that you have problems to uninstall (Adobe Reader)
  9. Click Uninstall , located along the top of the program window
  10. In the window that appears, select Advanced Options
  11. Click Next
  12. In most cases, the uninstall program for the given program will open and run.  Please complete this first before you proceed if this is the case.
  13. The program will now scan for information remains; once finished, click Next
  14. You may be presented with a list of the remaining registry entries. If so, click select all , and then click Remove

  What firewall / anti-virus software you are using. My guess is that the firewall or the anti virus software blocks both the update and full installation because it contains ZIP files. I have not heard that outside the paranoid company / parameters of business in the past, but there's always a first time.
