When I accepted the lightning, most of my emails disappeared: what should I do?

I guess that Thunderbird has been updated automatically, and this time, the lightning came with it. I accepted this calendar and thought everything was fine.

However, when I got to send an e-mail, I discovered that only emails visible were those of 2012. In the "Sent" messages, they will be until 2013 - although still nothing recent.

I tried to click on 'Get message' but nothing happened.

I tried to disable the lightning, but it makes no difference.

What should I do?

When your problem has been fixed, can mark the thread as "solved" Please?
Thank you.
