When I closed Windows, I want Firefox to leave without asking me.

I simply quit when I stopped the machine of Firefox. I didn't much care if it saves my context or not, I don't want to generate a prompt which delays the closing down. I saw the settings that are required for the prompt to appear, and I won't change just to make the prompt do not.

This has happened

Each time Firefox opened

You can reset the preferences to warn on the topic: config page via the context menu for that confirm the new dialog box.
browser.tabs.warnOnClose, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/About%3Aconfig_entries
browser.warnOnQuit, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnQuit
browser.warnOnRestart, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnRestart

To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the Enter key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.

  • How can I get my old mozilla back window after the upgrade automatically changed without asking me?

    What I would like is the window of the screen/boot I've had in prior to this new improved window version. The window that appears when you start mozilla. I didn't want to not update, don't have requested by mozilla and I was perfectly happy with mozilla having this nice orange tab where I coul find everything I needed, also as the organizer of better bookmarks with the old version.

    Thanks, hopefully I can get it back

    Earlier, I went back to my laptop to discover that Firefox had installed an update. The only option that gave me was to restart now or later. I checked my preferences, and I finally got them to have FF ask me before installing.

    The window 'asking' what you want to do only awaits if long an answer until it times out (if I me remember when it happened, it waits 30 seconds) and then download them the update.

  • When I open Windows Live Mail he asks me to sign in every time. I want to connect automatically.

    original title: Windows Live Mail

    When I open Windows Live Mail a pop up appears asking me to sign in to Windows Live Mail.  I don't want to do and would like to stop the appearance of the application.  I'm perfectly happy using Live Mail for my mail, but don't want or don't need any interaction with other Windows Live services. How can I stop this request appearing as it's quite boring?

    To use Windows Live Mail and this Web site, you need a Windows Live ID, and looking for the password ID to get your email address. The information and click "save my password". You can remove an account, if you do not want to get the emails of her by clicking on the blue box which opens a few choices. Choose options > accounts, find the account and delete it. Use another program such as Mozilla Thunderbird and set up accounts if you want Live Mail does not support the account you want to use.

    I hope this helps!

  • I want to stop the banner asking me: you want to receive notifications from this site?

    Whenever I have search and get a new Web page with notifications that I receive an extremely irritating banner of Firefox: you want to receive notifications from this site? I must dismiss this by clicking the small x in the upper right

  • Why is FireFox reinstall without asking me?

    I use the version 24 on my desktop and laptop computer.
    Over the past 2 weeks Firefox updated itself without asking me the version 24 24.
    Yes I know that sounds ridiculous.
    What happens then is not stupid. After doing these asked not update the new version of Firefox now has tiles on the screen. I look FORWARD to tiles and need some recovery medium other than the use of MS WIN7 and restore functionality.

    A bigger problem is that!
    Implementing up-to-date not only closes all my open tabs. BUT it also deletes my favorites!
    It is as if it has a complete uninstall and then reinstall.
    There must be a way to restore only FireFox instead of doing a restore-restore Windows
    and find my favorites.
    My two computers did. My laptop did once,
    but my office is on the second misunderstood is reinstall.
    I have not received any warning early this automatic change but I noticed that something was not just by doing a turn on the computer to do a reboot. So I know I'm screwed.
    Did I mention how much I hate the tiles?

    What security (firewall, antivirus) software do you have?

    This occurs after you have restarted the computer?

  • change the number of recently closed windows, firefox remembers

    Hi, I want to increase the number of windows recently closed, who remembers to Firefox. Currently, he remembers three recently closed windows, but often when I click on hypertext links (no pop ups) they open automatically in a new window, which functionally removes the registration of windows I had open and he wanted to see again... that now they are gone, apparently forever. Is there some settings to change that? I don't need or want that Firefox remember my entire browsing history, I just want to be able to return on the 6 or 7 windows recently closed because 3 is not sufficient. Thank you.

    By default, Firefox stores only 10 "previously closed tabs" out the window and 3 'previously closed windows.' To increase these values:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste sess and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo and enter your preferred Windows (I have 10).

    (4) If you want, double-click the preference browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo and enter your favorite number of tabs (I have 20).

  • I really enjoyed having the option 'Save and exit' when I closed my browser, but since I updated Firefox this option is no longer available for me. How can I get that back?

    I currently have Firefox 4.0.1.

    Record of the tabs was not removed from Firefox 4, but it works a little differently.

    • By default, Firefox 4 will not ask to save tabs, but instead, it will automatically save your tabs on the output unless you're in private browsing mode. You can restore the next time by:

      1. by clicking on the Firefox button > history > "restore previous Session ', or
      2. type of Subject: House in the URL bar and press the Enter key, then press the button "restore previous Session."
      3. See: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox%20does%20not%20ask%20to%20save%20tabs%20and%20windows%20on%20exit
    • Note: This was a decision by the developers. On this forum, we are all volunteers without compensation here to help other users. Develop them and employees of Mozilla/Firefox rarely, if ever visit here.

    To display the message "save tabs and exit" when closing multiple tabs, you can do the following:

    1. Type of topic: config in the URL/address bar and press the Enter key
    2. Accept the warning message (promise to be careful)
    3. Open the preferences/list page
    4. Filter = browser.tabs.warnOnClose
    5. If its value is set to false, double-click top (in the lower panel) to toggle its value to true
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the 3 following preferences also:
      • browser.warnOnQuit
      • browser.warnOnRestart
      • browser.showQuitWarning
    7. See:

    Things to check if the tabs are not saved:

    1. Browsing history must be saved

      • Button Firefox: Firefox button > Options > Options > privacy > [X] Remember my browsing history
      • Menu bar: Tools > Options > privacy > [X] Remember my browsing history
    2. Also, make sure that you do not erase "Browsing history" when you use clear recent history or when Firefox is closed
      • Using clear recent history

        • Button Firefox: Firefox button > history > clear recent history
        • Menu bar: Tools > clear recent history
      • When Firefox is closed
    3. Make sure that you are not in private browsing mode or in private browsing mode permanent:
    4. If you have the Tab Mix Plus extension, and then clear the built-in session restore.

  • Problem refreshing the page parent when a modal window is closed.

    I have the page that opens a modal window of a column in report link. In the modal window, I want to be able to make my changes and press a button so that the modal window is closed and the parent page is refreshed to display the details changed in the report. In Firefox all works well, but IE I get the error message 'Window.opener.location is null or not an object ".

    When I comment out window.opener.location.href = window.opener.location.href; the modal window is closed without error, but I want to refresh the parent page with the changes in the modal window.

    I'm afraid that my java script is very limited (the code is inspired other peoples examples.)

    Page parent I call this function of a column in report link to display a modal window. Sets the hidden field of the SAVE_STATUS to the landing page of "n".

    function modalWin (pshow)
    {
    var url;
    URL ='f? p = & APP_ID.: "+ pshow +": & SESSION. : SAVE_STATUS: NO;

    If (window.showModalDialog) {}
    window.showModalDialog (url, "name", "dialogWidth:650px; dialogHeight:700px"); }
    else {}
    Window.Open (url, "name", "height = 700, width = 650, toolbar = no, directories = no, status = no, menubar = no, scrollbars = no, resizable = no, modal = yes");
    }
    }

    Landing page (modal window)

    Header HTML.
    Function closeWindow should refresh the parent page and close the modal window.

    < base target = _self >
    < script language = "JavaScript" type = "text/javascript" >
    <!--

    htmldb_delete_message = "'DELETE_CONFIRM_MSG" ";

    function closeWindow() {}
    If (document.getElementById("SAVE_STATUS").value == 'Y')
    {
    Window.opener.Location.href = Window.opener.Location.href;
    Window.Close ();
    }
    }
    ->
    < /script >

    Attribute Html Body .
    onLoad = "closeWindow (); »

    P_UPDATE_DATE process called of the button changes. Games of the SAVE_STATUS flag 'Y' for the onload in the html body.

    UPDATE event
    SET event_date =: P5001_EVENT_DATE
    WHERE contract_reference =: P330_EVD_CONTRACT
    AND event_number =: P330_EVD_EVENT_NUMBER;

    : SAVE_STATUS: = 'Y ';

    Thank you in advance, I'll take a look when back in the office on Monday.

    Pete has soon

    Hi Pete,.

    In my view, that the refreshment of your page should happen on your parent Page. You can also check the JQueryUI there a beautiful modal dialog Widget.

  • That is why when I right click on the Firefox icon I get a purple flag with "new private window? No there is no way to remove this item?

    I'm a prisoner of the "new private window? Is it OK if I don't want that? God is going to punish me? It certainly looks that way.

    I got Win 10 for 4 months and until yesterday, 11/10, I didn't even know about the 'new private window' and the flag purple now appears when I right-click on the Firefox icon. Someone tried to help her by suggesting new privacy settings. So I lost most of my desktop shortcuts but not the private window! I'll be back most of the shortcuts, but I'm still stuck with the purple flag company. I have a background of tech and only for this reason that I try to keep things simple. It is vital that, how did you before? Any help or clarification will be appreciated. Thanks for listening.

    The image used for the incognito in the task bar was changed to Firefox 42. Previously, the image was not colored purple, more as a lighter blue color.

  • 18.0 Firefox crashes when I closed Firefox on a 32-bit computer. OK in 64-bit computer.

    18.0 Firefox works fine when I open it on a 32-bit desktop. I can open any Web site (I use one tab). But when I closed Firefox, I get the message "Firefox has crashed." It charges ok, but I've never had this problem with any version of Firefox before. I downloaded another copy of 18.0 and it's the same thing. 18.0 works perfectly on a 64-bit computer. Both computers are connected to the router. I keep my security, Windows 7, etc. updated.

    If I can download 17.x, I would see that if he goes there, as he never did before. I would like your suggestions. Thank you.

  • I want Firefox to log out of the sites automatically when I close firefox. He used to do this.

    Previously, Mozilla Firefox would sign for me automatically when I closed Firefox. For example, if I was connected to Yahoo, he would sign for me when I closed Firefox.

    After the last update, this feature has disappeared.

    I would like to take back. How?

    If you reopen sites automatically on next start then Firefox stores cookies which are used in these tabs in the file sessionstore.js as part of session data, if you download disconnected if you close Firefox without close tabs first.

    You can set the browser.sessionstore.privacy_level pref 2 (never) or 1 (not HTTPS) on the topic: config page to disable the registration of cookies via session restore.

    The browser.sessionstore.privacy_level_deferred pref is used when you do not reopen last session automatically via "show my windows and tabs from last time" and use the same values.
