  Thanks, but the cd/dvd drive works well - I can burn a cd with windows media player for example.  the problem is that I can't copy files to it.   I can play CDs (haven't checked the DVD).  I can not do and could do before, is doing drag and drop files on it.  The only authorized action is "move".   This happens even when I click CTRL + do drag.   I can copy it to any other player, but the CD player, and when I hover over the "exemplary" drive CD goes to 'move '.

  Try the following.

  Download the Setup program of the Synaptics driver from the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp74001-74500/sp74369.exe

  When finished, open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  Since the new layout, select programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics ClickPad Driver" and select uninstall.

  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  When windows has reloaded, open your download folder, right-click on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

  I had a lot of trouble with the slider staying in the place where I have the position of the entry point.  I will place the cursor at the end of a sentence - or even in the middle of a sentence for an insert.  Then, when I start typing, the new text will eventually be listed somewhere else in the document.  This occurs in Microsoft Word (2007) and a single Note (2007).  The entry point for the text does not stay when I click the cursor for some reason any.  Does anyone else have this problem?  I work in Vista Home Premium on a Dell Studio 1500 series.  I use a Kensington Expert Mouse to operate the cursor.

  So yes, we have replaced the old file by the new modifed one, but somehow, the changes that we made in the pll being file do not appear

  So either your changes do not work, or you have replaced the wrong file and there is another instance of the plx elsewhere. What happens if you delete your plx. IF its does not exist, the form should throw an error, otherwise, there is another instance of the file.
