When I go to tools >; Add-ons, nothings shows under modules, Extensions, etc.
The clickable element only it is "check for updates". All my modules work, but none appear. Even for Extensions, appearance, Plugins, Services.
I don't know how long it was, because I had no need to check until last Friday, when I picked up some malware that slides open a tab on the right side of my screen with 'Hot Deals' on it.
Option "Automatically add" Firefox tells me listed below are my modules (if I can't see them in my own tab modules). There are several here that I recognize at all, but I don't know how I can delete them without that page loading properly.

If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit)
- If you have many extensions then first turn on half of test extensions that half the problem.
- Continue to divide the bad half that still has the question until you find that one is causing it.
A notice says: "a script running is not enough..." "often appears and I can't open my Add-ons when I go to: Tools > Modules
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of your modules is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > themes).
See the extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common troubleshooting Firefox problems and troubleshooting questions with plugins like Flash or Java to solve common Firefox problems
If this does not work in safe mode and then disable all your extensions and then try to find out who is causing by allowing both the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" window the startup of Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to disable all extensions.
You will need to close and restart Firefox after each change via "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')
Since the update Firefox 6.0, some websites do not load correctly. I suspect it has to do with the Java being disabled because of the compatability modules. When I try to go to Tools/Add-ons, I get the message "Loading" for several minutes without chang
Update Firefox 6.0 is useless to me because many websites I visit are not displayed properly, I guess because the Java modules are disabled because of incompatibility. They appear correctly in Internet Explorer.
In addition, the add-on from Trend Micro is not compatible, which leaves me with a positive feeling.
When I try to check to see if these modules can be updated, the menu item Tools/Addons just goes to a page with "loading" and stays there for several minutes without change until I close it.
I would like to know the procedure to regularize this version of Firefox to my previous version that worked.
Firefox 5.0/5.0.1/4.0/4.0.1 and earlier 3.6.20 all contain questions of security and stability that will not be corrected. You put your system at risk by using any version of Firefox that 6.0 or 3.6.20. Any person who displays a link to other versions is to be irresponsible, in my opinion.
If the incompatible extensions in Add-ons > Extensions are Java Console, you have no need them unless your doing Java development. Most of the users have not yet installed, but Java will install Java Console with each update. You can delete them manually:
The only thing that affects the functioning of the sites/Java applets on the web is the plugin (Add-ons - > Plugins) "Java (TM) Platform SE (version)". Do not forget that it is enabled and that you have not all extensions which affect/block "scripts".
- Check commonly used plugins: https://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
- Update or install Java (aka, next generation Java plug-in for the Mozilla browsers): install or update Java in Firefox
You must contact Trend Micro or go to the forums on their website to inquire about their plans to update the add-ons/toolbars they install in Firefox.
Problem with the display of the Add-ons Manager
The Add-ons Manager gets in a loop of loading due to the recent update of Firefox 6 and servers being overloaded because users and update process are looking for updates to the add-on. If you stay away from the "Get Add-ons" selection on the left of the screen of the add-on Manager, you should have no problem with that. This situation is expected to resolve when the overload of Firefox 6 update is complete. I do not always use this "Get Add-ons" option, instead, I go to the website of modules and the search for what I want from there: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=clone & cat = all & x = 0 & y = 0
When I try a search using my google toolbar it stops responding and when I open tools > Addons, a window pops up saying script is unresponsive, which is followed by firefox crashing. How can I fix it?
It is possible that you have a problem with some Add on Firefox which is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you must make sure that it is not caused by one (or more) of your installed modules, whether an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do this easily and cleanly, start Firefox in safe mode (remember to select disable all add-ons when you start safe mode). If the problem goes away, you know that it's an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode and allow them one by one until you find the source of the problem. See this article for more information on troubleshooting extensions and themes and this one for plugins.
If you need help with one of your modules, you will need to contact the author.
If the problem does not disappear when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there. Please be afraid not to follow my instructions to the line, as everything can be easily undone.
I have the 'Add-on' and 'the extension manager' Add-ons installed. Extension manager does not display the extensions that I use and the add-on Manager shows it loads the page but will not charge. I tried all the troubleshooting suggestions but none will fix the problem. How can I fix this problem so I can manage my Add-ons
try to remove/rename the following files, if present in your profile folder - they store information about your extensions & might have gotten corrupted: extensions.ini, extensions.cache and extensions.rdf, extensions.sqlite extensions.sqlite - newspaper (they will be regenerated the next time you launch firefox).
I want to import Windows Live 2011 messages, contacts, etc and tried to install the recommended add on. I downloaded and registered the add on by following the instructions, but when I went on the Tools menu, to add on the of are not there to complete the installation.
Add what ons reports tools when you use the menu bar. Shortcuts universal to display hidden menu bars is alt or F10
It looks like you use the button AppMenu (3 horizontal lines).
I guess that you haven't noticed the Add-ons selection in the main menu when you have clicked on that.
After update, Firefox informed me that Flash Player is outdated. I've updated that and restarted Firefox without any problems.
However, whenever I try to open the Add-ons Manager it crashes just with a little "Loading"... bubble ».
I clicked on "Extensions" in the Add-ons Manager and who took care of the problem for me. Closing and reopening of the following Add-ons Manager were not yet demonstrating the problem.

Downloaded firefox 4 for mac yesterday. Work very well until I started to add add-ons/extensions. Since then, any attempt to manage extensions or add-ons blocks Firefox and requires a force quite.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.
- Troubleshoot extensions, themes, and issues of hardware acceleration to resolve common problems of Firefox
Delete the files (extensions.sqlite, extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini) extensions.* and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry. New files will be created if necessary.
See "extension corrupted files": http://kb.mozillazine.org/Unable_to_install_themes_or_extensions
If you see people with disabilities, is not compatible extensions in "tools > Modules > Extensions ' and then click the Tools button, on the left side of the search bar to perform a compatibility check.
When I click on tools in the menu bar. The account / add account option is not there. I use windows 7. This option is not there no matter where I go on my computer. This option is used to add email accounts. What e-mail program?

I'm trying to install the add-on module, using an XP - Pro operating system. Installed originally FF before Version 3. At installation, the attempt of the States Lightbeam FF in a pop up box that I use Version 3.5.2. Currently in the help/about version says I am running version 24.0.
How can I solve this problem?
Hello MickG500, your useragent (information, the browser sends to websites to identify its version) - apparently by mistake - shows, you are on the version of firefox 3.5.2. Please refer to this article to reset the settings of the user agent in firefox: websites say that Firefox is obsolete or incompatible, even if it's the latest version
After update today (20/11/2012) to 17.0 Firefox, when I click on the link to modules in the toolbar, nothing happens. I can click on downloads and window open, same for all the rest except the modules. Any ideas on how to get it to work?
Hello JPV555, another user reported that tab mix plus can cause this problem - you have installed too? If so, please start firefox in safe mode, go to the addons - manager & keep the mixture to label more disabled until there is an update available for the extension.
Hi, I'm using Vista and Firefox 3.6. I installed some popular addons such as no script and the web page of the trust for the admin account, but when I connect under the standard account with fewer rights, I do not have them available. The only way I can get to run is to right click and run as administrator which defeats the purpose to log on as a standard user. Thanks for any help you can provide.
I'm in a loop - I open Firefox Home and click on addons and get a pop-up telling me I have to install Firefox. By clicking on this link gives me a link to download Firefox Home. That is what it is?
"Firefox Home" for iPhone is not a web browser. Firefox extensions are for Windows, Mac, Linux desktop versions of Firefox and some may work on the Android version.
Firefox Home is a free application that lets you have access to your Firefox desktop history, bookmarks and open tabs on your iPhone.
Is this way Firefox will be available on the iPhone?
No. We do not have plans to ship the full Firefox browser for the iPhone. Due to constraints with the OS environment and distribution, we cannot provide users Firefox for the iPhone.
For the past few months I have problems with Youtube or installation of extensions. In both cases, I get a message saying that I have an outdated browser (version 2) and must be updated. I installed Firefox 3 (lately 3.6.3) several times, closing of the old version of first each time. Firefox/subject shows that I have installed 3.6.3. I even tried completely remove the old version and download the new version with Safari (I saved my bookmarks, etc. in this case). Something is very wrong, and I'm unable to install several important extensions because of this problem.
I use a Mac, OSX 10.5.8.
I'm at my wits end. Does anyone have any suggestions?
