When I hit my home button, firefox opens a new tab window every time with the page of homw what need me to. How can I stop this extra tab to open?

The question above says it all. I get an empty additional window open whenever I go to my home page by using the Home button.

You have a | after the web address that you set for your Home Page in the Options > general?

This vertical bar symbol is used to separate the popular URL tabs when many home pages are defined as the 'Home Page' and if the vertical bar symbol is there, a blank tab opens.
