  The recovery partition is set by default to have very little free space_and has no negative effect on it or system. However, if you use it to back up files, it could fill to capacity. Do not use for backup. You can also check to see if the System Restore monitors the partition, if so, turn it off. Whatever you do, do not compress the partition. Doing so will serve as recovery to stop working.

  Hi, I have a problem with the AutoPlay dialog box. It does not appear whenever I am inserting a USB device into my laptop, it display normally if I insert a USB device.   No problems with one of my desktop windows 7 but have some questions and concerns.   Outside my thin line, I have 2 other computers hp windows 7.  They are p6510T CTO Desk Top clubhouse and Pavilion HPE H8m Desk Top.   I created my own set of recovery for each computer cd.   When I created the recovery discs, I don't remember if my computer came with service pack 1 preinstalled by buying them directly at Hp.     My first question is this.   Do plant purchased hp computers come with service pack 1 already preinstalled.

  Next question.   If they do and the recovery discs that I burned for each service pack 1 image, too, be burned on the disks.   Finally.   Is there a limit to the way in which many times can I use my recovery by computer disks.

  You place your order of recovery disks is not possible that they are discontinued.   I also undertand after reloading windows I can load the service pack 1 back when running a windows update.   But it is easier to have service pack 1 already imaged on any set of recovery disks.   If some can please please point this out.    Thank you.

  If you create recovery discs when you got the computers, you can use them as many times as you want as long as they continue to work.  SP1 would not be included.  I don't think that they were not in what you received initially.  They come through Windows Update, see the center of update and the Service Pack

  Hey everybody! I have a quick question and I hope one of you can tell me if I'm about to make a huge mistake.

  My HP Pavillion Dv6 had serious problems and chkdsk deleted a lot of clues. I worked on the problem of HARD drive and looks is not default (no bad sectors, only of weakness). I read that zero-filling can help with HARD drive problems.

  My only question is that I don't know if I'll be able to just reinstall after I have zeros, because the building programs will be wiped. I have an application and Driver Recovery CD and a DVD of system recovery that I have used before. These will still work if I have zero filling? Or I need something else?

  Hi Sadie,

  Yes, your recovery disks will work if set you to zero the whole HARD drive (they would also work on a new HARD drive if you need to replace the existing one).

  When reloading the operating system, you choose the "Factory Reset" option will reinstall the OS and recreate all the original scores.

The disc starts to load and says loading files of Windows, or somehting like that. Then he said: Windows startup. I don't get the Recovery Manager menu. With an arrow, it points to an ejected drive of a computer image on the disc tray. And it points to a picture of a computer with 3 drives. It seems that he tells me to put in the next disc. I put in one that is graduated from 1 to 3, the light on the drive flashes, and then nothing happens, regardless how long wait. If, instead of starting with the disk that says this first use, I start with the one who said that 1 of 3, after loading Windows files, it says something like "this disc is not for this computer.
