When I open a new tab, it goes straight to the Bing, rather than the white page.
I recently downloaded a program called PDFlite to view the PDF files. He seems to have changed some settings on my Firefox, I does not allow to do so. I am today and there was a Bing toolbar, which I disabled it without problem. But now when I open a new tab, it goes directly into the Bing search engine, rather than the blank page where it used to go. This turn off the coast. I hate Bing. I checked my addons and there is no new addons added by the program. I can't understand what is happening. Help, please!
Restore the default home page
Check and tell if its working.

When I have an open a new tab, it goes to a strange, not Virgin address or home page
When I open a new tab, this address appears automatically in the address box: http://www.searchnu.com/410?tag=newtab
How can I prevent this and return to the empty address when I open a new tab?
This happens usually when you install certain software or applications, and with it some unwanted applications also downloaded as toolbars, ads, etc..
We suggest you try to change the homepage visit https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/How%20to%20set%20the%20home%20page to find out how.

When I click on the 'plus' for a new tab, which automatically takes me to google.com so beautiful, but the cursor is in the address bar. It seems that the cursor is in the google search box, but it's not.
When I click on "Home" the default cursor, the search field, which I think is correct. Is there a way to have FF does not by default the address for the input text bar when you open a new tab?
I doubt it. Google controls their research and their browser and they integrate features. But you can use "Ctrl + K" to place your cursor in the search bar"in your Firefox toolbars. By pressing the key TAB a little is a waste of time since there are a lot of links before you get to the entrance area.
There could be an extension, if it bothers some, but I don't see a valid compromise to justify the use of an extension of something that seems trivial to me.

When I open a new tab, how can I get the new standard tab page?
When I opened a new page, I get AVG Search to ensure that the new page. I want the new standard page that Firefox offers where I can organize my best sites on the new page. I don't want AVG, but I can't get rid of it.
Hello sageventure, you can install the addon Search reset , or manually reset the new tab page by entering Subject: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears), seeking the preference named browser.newtab.url and right click and reset it to its default value (Subject: newtab).

I've done everything I can find in the support section, and every time I open a new tab, I get searchnu. Whenever I use the search url bar, it uses searchnu. I have the google search bar, but it does not work. I einto gon subject: config I don't know how many times and changed the url for keyword and when I start firefox again, it changes again in searchnu. There is nowhere in my control panel and it is not in my modules or extensions. It is also appear in my browser.startup.homepage it keeps on rebooting and I'm about to uninstall firefox altogether.
I am also a victim of a searchnu. It takes somehow my IE homepage, but I even have not yet installed anything last month. Fortunately I get rid of this nasty browser pirate using a tutorial of removing of searchnu:http://www.virus-delete.com/en/guides/browser-hijacker-removal/how-to-remove-searchnucom-through-isafe-virus-removal-tool.html
So I would like to share here in order to see if it helps ^ ^But I still can't understand what that how you houses delta virus appear on my laptop even I didn't install anything before?

If I open a new tab, I can't enter any address at any site. Well, that I can enter, just at the moment where I hit return the address of the typewritten page disappears and returns to "go to a Web site. Nothing happens. I can use the search box (google) or a bookmark to open a new tab. This tab resulting will be then to accept the entrance and go to the address as I type. The new tab will not do anything.
Try to open a new window (file > new window) to see if it works.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

This can also be a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

When I open a new tab, it does not show my best sites.
Then, when I opened a new tab, it allows access to the 'top sites' page, but now, he's going to this site: search.conduit.com/?gd= & ctid = CT3324415 & octid = EB_ORIGINAL_CTID & ISID = M77E53D47-0CB9-4A9A-AC0A-8EBB5A0AC2DE & SearchSource = 69 & CUI = SSPV = & Lay = 1 & UM = 2 & UP = 0 - B790-530FBBDECD53-SPB8ACF8E9-DA2F - 45 d
How to go to the page 'top sites' again as before. I don't know what is causing to go to this other site. Thank you.
Never mind. It is corrected. It's probably a virus causing.

Where is the gear when I open a new tab in Firefox 42?
I try to have faces of color illustrated when I open a new tab in Firefox 42. The instructions say click on the gear wheel at the top right of the page to the new tab in order to activate the function of tiles. It is not a gear when I open a new tab.
What page is the new tab override set the new tab page?
If you want to use the subject: newtab page with the tiles and the gear, you don't need this extension.
The extension new tab replace is only necessary if you want a different home page, and such a page does not include this gear.See this article on the page tab (topic: newtab):

When I open a new tab, it always comes to the top:
http://ISearch.AVG.com/Tab?CID= {7d7746b8-fb39-4619-86fd-792cbc268005} & mid = 72dc207d310ff3c58bd4dbeaeddede3a-fe6a71ecae4eb764a90a5203c991f01a6245f52e & ds = AVG & v = 13.2.0.5 & lang = es - & pr = en & d = 2012-06-02% 2009% 3 a 32% 3 a 49 & sap = nt
I already made the topic: config reset and it does not have the new blank tab or go to a specific URL I type in address. What can I do to get a new empty tab? Thank you.
Change the browser.newtab.url preference, or it is ignored?
If it changes after you exit and then restart Firefox, look for a user.js file, as described in this article: How to fix preferences that will not save.
If it is ignored, are looking for an extension that is unwanted in the Add-ons page:
CTRL + SHIFT + a button orange Firefox (or tools) > Add-ons
On the left side, click Extensions, and then disable all non-essential or unrecognized extensions.
Typically, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.
Any improvement?

When I open a new tab, I want it to be empty. Instead, it opens to a URL ('Bing'), unwanted. How can I change the tab setting to eliminate the opening to the Bing search engine and replace it with a blank tab?
I had already replaced Bing with Google as my default, but kept search engine with Bing on new tabs, I found very frustrating.
Finally, I found that I could return to a blank tab by going to control panel from my computer and uninstalling the Toolbar start now. Phew. No more Bing!
